Chapter 227
This is the first time he has come across someone who doesn’t take his words seriously. It felt like no matter what he says, Riviz will go ahead to do whatever he plans to do.
“What do you have in mind?” Alex let out a defeated sigh since it was obvious he won’t be able to win this argument.
“Now we can talk properly” Riviz said with a nod before readjusting his sitting posture
“I have a lot of things running through my mind. Things I need to do and this is one of them. What if we can ignore everything else and allow the changes to take place? Other races die due to this power and those who survive evolve and get stronger and smarter endlessly. So what makes ours different?” Riviz asked with a genuine stern look on his face.
It was obvious he meant every single word he said.
” What do you have in mind?” Alex asked again.
“Evolution is a process... I want to go through it. If my body can’t handle it then I want you to put me down” Riviz said.
“And have you just died out like that? I refuse” Alex shook his head in refusal without hesitation.
.....
“I didn’t bring you all the way from Earth to just die off here for no good reason at all. I thought you really have a plan but I see you simply want to try something new with no strategy at all” Alex said with a frown.
While he couldn’t completely deny the fact that over the years most of the things he has done have always been impulsive and never planned, it only worked out for him because he is strong.
As they say, in the face of absolute power, all forms of techniques are useless. He has absolute power but he can’t say the same for other people around him. The thought of this alone made him extremely agitated.
What if Riviz were to go berserk and he is forced to kill him?
What will he say to the culture?
In fact, how sure is he that he would be able to kill Riviz?
The fact remains that in terms of talent the culture surpasses him by far and he was only able to get above them thanks to his matter absorption ability. These people are just like him, strong enough to take on people above their level.
Should Riviz evolve and become a baron or Viscount. With the kind of talent and fighting skills these people have, he may not even be strong enough to suppress him!
In the end, the truth remains he is only a Viscount.
The gravity ability may be powerful but Riviz’s shadow Emperor ability is just leagues above his expectations. He has seen it in combat a couple of times and been till now he is unable to understand what the ability is all about.
Just like him, Riviz and other members of the culture are beings surrounded by mystery. No one can boldly and accurately come out and measure their strength, not even them.
“You believe you won’t be able to stop me?” Riviz said with a raised eyebrow while looking into Alex’s eyes. It felt like he was reading his mind and the surging darkness within his eyes was not making things any better.
“I never said that” Alex said with a frown.
“But you are not denying it either” Riviz replied quickly.
“Do you think I can stop you?” Alex leaned forward and asked.
“Do you think you can stop me?” Riviz replied with a question of his own which made Alex frown. He felt like Riviz was just playing games with him.
“Just watch me evolve then we will find out whether it works or nothing. I’m getting bored of these games” Riviz sighed as he adjusted his sitting posture one more time.
His dull eyes suddenly widened and his shadow spread across the room like a plague, covering the entire room in darkness almost instantly!
Huff!
Riviz exhaled as his blue energy spread across the room from the meteor. Seeing this, Alex gazed at him for a while and frowned. He knew unlike him who can directly absorb the energy, Riviz can’t and can only improve at a regular speed.
Looking at Riviz now who was perfectly still like a statue he wondered if this lad is really planning to stay here for days without eating just to accumulate enough energy? He is only able to do things like this because the energy he absorbs serves as nutrition for the body so he can go on indefinitely without eating as long as he has done energy to absorb.
Huff!
Alex exhaled and as he inhaled the black markings on his body lit up and brew brighter as he breathed in a lot more. He was working on his energy revolver ability since it can be considered the most important, especially now. As long as he is able to pilot Damnation without energy issues for a longer period of time, he should be able to deal with even stronger foes.
Putting all of that aside, Alex began meditating on what he considered important while practicing. He constantly gazed at Riviz with a certain thought racing through his mind. What if Riviz is right?
What if humans really needed to evolve and not the other way around?
What Riviz said earlier made sense if you depended on that is simple and straightforward. Even from the dawn of time man has evolved to become what they are now. Their body evolved and changed to adapt to anything they come across. For that reason alone a lot has happened over time.
Considering the current situation now, Alex thought about it and realized he was right. Man evolved and whatever is removed during and after evolution is what the body deems useless now. The reason people who embarked on the second mutation ran mad or had some mental issues are simply because their powers were mutated meaning they will be double the mutant genes the body used to carry.
The mutant cells boost one’s deviant’s power. It’s like the Deviant abilities need something to consume when used. It’s like going to the gas station in a car. It needs gas to run. The mutant cells have similar tasks.
Now everyone is born with a certain level of mutant cells which determines what type of energy reserves they will have when casting their abilities. Now that same person goes through a special mutation to strengthen their abilities.
That alone prompts the question.
“What the hell is going on?”
Alex was shocked by the number of information running through his head. He was thinking of many things and everything all at once! How could they have missed this all this while? How did the human race not realize the secret towards a greater tomorrow?
Alex turned his attention to Riviz who was oblivious to the rush of emotions racing through Alex’s head. They legit failed to understand how important this theory may be for the human race.
All these while they have been mutating the ability, not know if the body which serves as the host is strong enough to hold on to their abilities! Isn’t just like putting something dangerous within a box. The question isn’t how dangerous the item within the box is. The question is how powerful is the box and will it be able to contain the power within it?
This power goes two ways. You evolve the body as you mutant the genes. With these two events taking place, one will always remain stable! If he can do it to everyone he brought back with him, he can create a small yet special force of amazing beings!
Yes, their appearance my will change after the evolution but that’s just it. That is all they have to deal with but this may be the only way. With an evolved genes and body and probably with the addition of an evolved mutant cell, their offspring will just be like that of every other race.
They will start at the Baron rank!
The discovery was stunning and little Alex was a living testimony that this is quite possible. Who would have thought someone would be this stupid and fail to realize something so obvious.
From what he was told, little Alex was born with the strength of an S-rated guardian! Something no one in the world has succeeded in doing!
Thinking about it now he realized this was only possible due to the experiment in which he was the test subject. After everything, his body was no longer that of a human and his genes had been upgraded, merging with his traits.
It finally makes sense why his son was born with such extraordinary abilities. It’s really a shame he went to earth and killed two people yet he couldn’t meet his son. Silver really did a good job hiding them away from him.
