Chapter 107
In fact, it was only his second time using it ever since using it accidentally the first time when facing the brownish demon.
The reason for that was Blake felt a slight weird and unusual feeling when he used the spell combination before and when he heard the screams of agony from the brownish demon.
Despite when he thought back about it, he didn’t really feel anything strange about the situation, he just had a slight nagging feeling in his mind every time Blake thought about wanting to use the spell again on a demonic beast to see whether he would get the same sweet tasting soul from those demonic beasts.
He didn’t know why, but every time he recalled what happened to the brownish demon after being hit by the combination spell, the screams, the stare it gave him, and the fact that it had died from sheer fear and shock, gave Blake a slightly weird feeling in his heart.
But it was only in his heart. His head was totally fine as though there was not a single difference between him killing the brownish demon and another demonic beast that he hunted every day in his life in the demon realm.
And every time Blake tried to process the unfamiliar feeling in his heart to his mind, Blake could never figure out why his heart felt that way every time he recalled the brownish demon’s scream.
However, Blake had used the spell combination for a second time now.
And his mind didn’t even think about the weird feeling in his heart and the screams anymore as now, Blake wanted the greenish demon to release the same scream the brownish demon let out more than anything.
.....
Despite him not knowing why his heart felt weird every time he heard the brownish demon’s scream, Blake’s mind was more than able to recognize that the scream that the brownish demon released was a scream of pure agony.
And thinking that he could make the greenish demon feel the same way as the brownish demon, Blake didn’t hesitate for a single second to use the combination spell on it.
Remembering how he was prevented from eating the soul that was already at the tip of his fingers, Blake couldn’t help but wanted to make sure the greenish demon knew what it did had really annoyed him to his core and made sure those emotions were imprinted on the greenish demon’s soul so Blake could taste it after it had died.
Just imagining how sweet the taste of the greenish demon’s soul would be if it died from feeling a level of agony that was on the same level as the brownish demon, Blake couldn’t help but anticipate the greenish demon’s soul coming out of its body soon.
The greenish demon saw Blake was standing still and drew his own spell when itself was already halfway towards finishing its own spell.
And remembering how itself had been caught off guard by Blake’s spell a few moments ago and it was also the cause of the bulky humanoid demon’s downfall, the greenish demon knew that it needed to put its full focus on finishing its own spell as soon as possible.
Without caring for what kind of spell Blake wanted to cast, the greenish demon fully focused on drawing its own set of runes and had actually succeeded in drawing its spell slightly faster than 3 whole seconds.
The greenish demon let out a small sigh of satisfaction as it saw the runes that it had drawn flashed and disappeared into the air without it receiving any kind of attack from the variant type humanoid demon in front of it.
However, the greenish demon soon found out that he was just about to receive said attack as the nether beneath its feet began to surge.
The humanoid demons in the first demon realm might not be the brightest, but they had a certain level of intelligence, enough to recognize patterns.
And when the greenish demon felt the ground beneath its feet surge with nether, the greenish demon remembered the dozens of darkness tendrils that came out of the ground earlier that had caught the bulky humanoid demon and quickly made an educated guess about what kind of spell was coming its way.
Without even doubting its own guess, the greenish demon confidently jumped backward, far enough that the dozens of darkness tendrils weren’t able to latch onto him, and stood there while starting to draw another set of runes to continue his attack on the variant type demon.
After taking a quick glance forward while jumping backward, the greenish demon saw the variant type demon had actually been caught in its spell and was currently incapacitated.
And what better circumstances to continue his attack other than when its enemy was incapacitated?
Knowing that the variant’s spell wouldn’t be able to get him, the greenish demon just solely focused on its own spell again as it wanted to finish drawing the spell as soon as it could.
However, just about a couple of seconds after the greenish demon thought that the darkness tendrils would manifest themselves, the greenish demon was suddenly caught off guard by the shaking behind its feet.
There was actually nether gathering at its current position, but because the nether that gathered at its previous position was more abundant, the greenish demon neglected the fainter concentration of nether right behind its body and failed to notice that the half the time it takes for the greenish demon to cast a single spell, Blake had actually cast two.
From the shaking that it felt, the greenish demon wasn’t even able to register what was about to happen as his hind foot was suddenly pushed off the ground, indirectly forcing his body to tumble forward as a tall circular earth wall rose from the ground.
And even before the greenish demon was aware of where its body was currently lying on, its body was suddenly frozen from shock as a very severe pain that it had never felt before in its whole life began assaulting its body.
