Chapter 253
The two pairs of eyes brightened as they completely abandoned their meal.
“Yes, where is he?” asked Yi Youxi acting like he was going to jump out of his seat.
Ming Ming licked the corner of her lips while tilting her head sideways, her little ponytail swaying to the side. “I want to see Jie Jie... can we go now?” she said and Yi Chen took a clean napkin and wiped her mouth while saying finish eating first.
The pair hurriedly finished their meal at an unprecedented speed that Yi Chen was so afraid that they would choke.
Five minutes later the three musketeers left the restaurant and when they passed by a bakery store, Yi Chen dragged them inside which he soon realized was a bad decision. The two of them had their own opinions on what Zi Han would like. From unicorn cakesicles to chocolate and hazelnut cheesecakes the pair kept pointing at things his boyfriend would like. Knowing them he was starting to suspect they were mentioning things that they wanted.
Yi Chen ended up getting them what they wanted but for Zi Han, his heart settled on the most typical and less dazzling dessert. He tried looking for something else but he kept circling back to those heart shaped cupcakes.
“He won’t like those,” muttered Yi Youxi while they walked out of the dessert shop.
“It’s too cheesy and he is a boy,” said Ming Ming truly believing that Zi Han would like her unicorn cakesicles.
.....
Yi Chen, “...”
“We should go back and buy him flowers. They are very expensive but he deserves it,” said Yi Youxi pulling at his arm.
Yi Chen was about to respond to their criticisms when Old Lu pulled up and got out of the car.
“Mr. Yi, Mr. Yi, and little Miss Yi please,” he said with a smile so bright like he was about to drive the groom, his best man, and the flower girl to the wedding.
Ming Ming looked up to Yi Chen and sought permission. Yi Chen nodded his head and she looked at Old Lu with a radiant smile before saying, “Thank you, sir,” and directly hopping into the hovercar.
Yi Youxi followed behind her leaving Yi Chen and Old Lu standing outside together. Yi Chen asked, “Where are we going.”
Old Lu smiled and said, “You will see,” before gesturing with his hand for him to enter the hovercar.
Yi Chen wasn’t worried for their safety but for a second he honestly started doubting Zi Han’s plans. That’s because they drove towards the nearest private platform and took a stealth cruiser.
Not long after they left Capital Star’s atmosphere and entered the dark starry galaxy they were met with a massive warship the most dangerous of them all in the entire federation. Cetus could barely keep up with it and only a privileged few outside the Bloodgarde could see it let alone be in it.
Now Zi Han was taking him straight into it which was... pretty heart warming actually. They say bring a guy home and you know you have won their heart but to Yi Chen, it was more like bring their boyfriend to the most secretive warship then they will most definitely walk down the aisle with you soon.
“Look at that? It’s so big... dage are we going in that?”
Yi Chen wanted to respond to Ming Ming’s zealous energy but he was so nervous, especially after what happened the last time. They were caught in bed by his mother and not only that but when he was trying to get a hold of him he sort of stalked all three of them so yep... there was that.It was because of that that his palms were so clammy and he was ridden with cold sweat as he sat there with his legs crossed.
He clenched and unclenched his fist several times and when he heard Old Lu say they had arrived his hand paused abruptly and he slowly clenched it again his expression complicated.
Meanwhile, on Capital Star, a sweaty Marshal Yi was cuddling his wife in his birthday suit while trying to convince her to go again when he got an unexpected call.
At first, he didn’t want to answer it but the person was fairly persistent. Thus he picked it up reluctantly. When he heard where his kids went the Marshal almost lost his mind.
“Shit,” he swore losing his footing as he hastily got off the bed.
“What are you doing?” asked Lin Ruoxi pulling the quilt to cover herself.
Marshal Yi put on his pants while yelling, “Those brats they went on the Han!”
Lin Ruoxi had on a puzzled expression as she asked, “The warship? What’s the big fuss? It’s not like they went somewhere illegal. Like seriously?”
“But that’s... I am going to get them and they are all going to be grounded until they are a hundred years old,” he replied only for his face to get hit by a pillow.
“Yi Zhen I swear upon my grandmother’s ashes if you walk out that door don’t come back,” she said picking up another pillow her hair a disheveled mess like she had been on a rollercoaster.
Marshal Yi raised his hands and grabbed the pillow his feelings conflicted. He knew Lin Ruoxi was always right but this, this really was getting to him. He was so afraid that his family would get destroyed.
Growing up his father always told him that the Zi family and the Bloodgarde were never their allies. His father and others who came before them tried to distance themselves from the Bloodgarde. That’s because they were independent of the Royal family. There were never loyal to the royal family from the beginning. Thus if the royal family ever touched their bottom line it would be easy to sever their relationship. This is why he was very resistant toward the Zi kid very much.
His wife on the other hand liked him so much that it was so puzzling. With his hand on his waist, he just looked at her with an ‘are you serious’ type of look and she answered that question.
