Chapter 107
I recognized the voices. It was the cries of the Kuntilanak outside. Some of the unfamiliar ones were probably the sound of Buto Ijo. One of the heavier one was perhaps the voice of the Genderuwo.
After hearing their desperate cries, I realized that they only looked scary outside but they were more or less similar to human inside.
Who said they didn’t know fear?
Who said they didn’t feel stressed under pressure?
Just as their voices now, there was hint of fear and distress in it.
“Later.” I told them.
Due to the slight disturbance from the other trapped entities, I almost got hit by one of the Shadows from the rotten family. Too bad for them, I was not alone. One of my White Army men protected me.
Actually, the fastest way to deal with them was to use the White Army, but I didn’t do it. Not because I was afraid my spiritual power would be depleted and harmed me, but because I wanted to do it by myself. I wanted to end this rotten and disgusting family by my own hands.
.....
After failing to attack me, all of their eyes reddened in fury. Their mind was more or less controlled by the Shadows now. It was impossible to talk to them logically.
Not that I wanted to solve by talking.
They were beyond saving, so I was not going to spend my breath in persuading them.
Let’s just pull off these weeds and be done with it!
I watched as those Shadows were once again moving to attack me. They were fiercer than ever, together with their hosts. In the big living room, a fight broke out between me vs five people in Amanda’s family.
I was not good in fighting, to be honest.
But, these people were not either.
They were practically just throwing themselves at me, with arms flailing like a crazy man, and screaming at the top of their lungs. Their hands were in shape of claws, looked somehow creepy but also weird. Their movements were unorganized and disharmonious, leaving holes for me to slip in and dodge here and there without breaking a sweat.
If you are imagining a cool fight with techniques and everything like the one you saw in a movie, sorry to break that for you but my fight with these people were not more than me running away from their zombie-like chase.
Of course, I didn’t really run away. I was only trying to find a gap between these ‘zombies’ to pull the annoying weeds one by one.
As I finally spotted one, my hand quickly moved and pulled the Shadows from the Mother. There was a tearing sound when the Shadow was separated from its host, accompanied by the shrill cry of both the Mother and the Shadow. I sneered, but didn’t stop. The Shadow in my hand got snatched by the tiger and I couldn’t care less what he was doing to the Shadow.
“Throw them at me! I’ll rip them until they’re gone!” The tiger roared madly.
“My pleasure, Mr. Tiger.” I replied without looking at it, a sinister smile appeared in my face.
After one was plucked out, it didn’t take too long for the others to follow. Loud tearing sounds were heard in time with their painful wailing continuously.
Fortunately this house was located far from the other houses. Considering how big this house was and the distance between this house and the nearest house, I was sure no one could hear their cries.
After tossing the last Shadow to the tiger, I cleaned my hands with wet tissue again while looking down to the people who were laying on the floor.
They were groaning softly, their body were twitching for whatever reason I didn’t need to know, but the most important was they were still alive.
Yes, I left them alive.
As I said before, killing them was too light of a punishment to them. It was too easy.
They were bestowed with brain and feeling, but they didn’t use it well and wisely.
If they wouldn’t use it, then might as well they didn’t have one. That’s what I thought.
So, that’s what I did. I took away their Shadows forcefully to let them taste the feeling of having their soul being torn apart. As they were attached as one, the other would feel the discomfort the other were feeling.
By pulling them out, I saved their souls from being devoured by those evil creatures, but I also left them with a deep wound in their soul. They would never forget the trauma they felt and the most important part was the act of forcefully tearing apart the body of the shadow from the host would mostly made the host... mad.
I didn’t care.
I squatted near the mother and my eyes met hers. “Who... are you?” She asked with a trembling voice. Her eyes filled with fear and unwillingness.
I smiled. I waved my hand and the old man battered and full of wound soul appeared behind me. I even used some of my energy to make the woman and her children saw him.
“Do you want to be like him?” I asked casually.
Their eyes were wide open, with mouth agape. Obviously they didn’t know why the old man would appear by my command.
“What did you do to him?” One of the brother shouted at me in rage.
“Just a light punishment for causing someone’s death.” I replied casually.
“What’s the difference? Both of you are playing with other people’s life.” The other man shouted in agitation.
I smiled. “Nice question...”
