Chapter 177
Han could see the vision of the wolves he sent out looking from door to door as well. He was using his Almighty Overseer to check every door that the wolves passed to make sure they were still going in the right direction. It was a lot of load for his brain alone to carry since he was looking at eleven views at once, but it was worth it for what he wanted to get!
The weapon that Yuuma told him about was supposed to be able to help anybody on this beginning floor become one of the best if it was used properly. The reason the Celestial hid it so well was because it wasn’t something they just wanted anyone to find. According to her, the Celestial who made the weapon wanted someone righteous or some shit like that to find it. Han almost laughed at that! What bullshit! He was going to destroy every trap they put and grab it like a thief! Fuck righteousness!
There was a sudden tingle at the back of Hans’s mind and he noticed a twelfth image coming into his vision. It was the wolf put in charge of tailing the chosen that he sent Lily with. It seems they finally made it to their hideout and were now safe. Well, at least they believed they were safe. Han debated sending a wave of wolves to attack them every now and then, but he decided it might be too much for them. He’ll let them come up with a proper plan and see what they can do with the challenge being put in front of them.
Han nodded and then sent a mental command to the wolf not to attack, instead, he told it to patrol the outside of the cave with another wolf and he received a nod back that showed his message was received. Once the wolf cut off the connection, Han went back to looking for the weapon. He went down hallway after hallway while trying not to get angry at how large the place was! What kind of castle was this!? It wasn’t even that large from the outside, but the inside was absolutely massive! Han was sure that this was some sort of nonsense celestial magic or something else that made the inside this large! He had half a mind to just blow this place sky high!
But it was almost thirty minutes later when Han finally found the room that he couldn’t see through with his Almighty Overseer. He realized that this had to be the pathway to the weapon and then cut off his connection to the other wolves since they still haven’t found anything. Han went inside and began to move through the long hallway. There were a few more doors that he couldn’t see through and Han followed them one after the other like he was moving through a maze.
When he had walked for more than ten minutes he came to a stone door that had an intricate design of a golden sword painted over it. It looked like a storage room and Han brought his hand forward and pushed it, but the door wouldn’t open. So Han just leaned forward and pushed harder. A loud groan echoed through the hallway before the entire door cracked and broke into hundreds of pieces and fell to the ground.
The door was supposed to be one of the strongest challenges in this castle. It was something that only ‘righteous’ and ‘worthy’ people could open by desperately praying to the Celestials. But Han’s strength was too overwhelming for a door that was designed to only keep out gold Stars at most. So it didn’t even stand a chance!
Han entered the room and then stepped back once he felt his instincts tell him something was about to happen. Once he stepped back, a hundred arrows flew across the room and stabbed into the opposite wall. If Han had been in that spot he wouldn’t probably be hit with them. It wasn’t like the arrows would have hurt, but it was the intent that counted! What shitty Celestials! They made the door into a challenge and they also made a trap immediately after the door! Did they really not want anybody to find this thing at all!?
Han entered further into the room and kept his eyes open for any more traps. There were a few mild traps like poison darts and a pit filled with spikes, but Han managed to pass through them easily. He arrived at a large box at the other end of the room and reached his hand out to touch it.
Once Han touched it a bright white light filled the room and he squinted as he felt it overwhelm his special eyes. He blinked back to clarity a few moments later and then he deadpanned at what he saw. It was a ghost. Or rather, a spirit. She looked like an angel and had the presence of someone who lives a holy life. And those bazongas! Holy fuck look at those breasts! They were huge! There is just something extra appealing about a sexy woman trying to hide her sexiness behind holiness. Han could feel his inner pervert coming out and the need to dominate her was intense! He wanted to dirty her and make her scream in agony while enjoying all the perverse things of this world! But she wasn’t even here for real, so it was pointless.
Her dress was white and flowed around her like falling water and her white hair and blue eyes made her look very beautiful. When she opened her mouth to talk, Han’s system immediately activated!
“Weary chosen. It is your great virtue that has brought you this far. It is not a coincidence that you are the one to receive the gift of the Celestials from this holy land. Rejoice in the knowledge of your victory”
[Mental Defence] has been activated.
Han felt how the woman’s voice almost made him drop his guard and he realized that she was using some kind of skill. Her power must be centered around illusions and ensnaring of the conscious mind. How interesting. If it was anyone else, they would have probably bowed down or some shit Ike that because they thought they were in the presence of a god. Han was just pissed.
“Oi! Are you the one that made the castle!? If you are, then I think we need to have a long talk about hospitality! You are the worst host I’ve ever seen in my life!”
The shock on the woman’s face was not small! She turned around to check if she was the one he was actually talking to. When she saw that there wasn’t any other floating woman behind her she turned back and then pointed to herself with a dumbfounded expression.
“Are you talking to me? How are you talking to me like this?”
Han felt his eye twitch!
“Of course, I’m talking to you! I’m not dumb and you’re sure as hell not deaf! Or is there anyone else in this room!?”
What in the world was going on!? This isn’t how the woman expected things to go at all! Han was supposed to bow a few times and then she would test him one last time before handing him the weapon! But this man was too unnatural! He didn’t even fall to her aura! No mortal has ever been able to completely ignore her aura like this! Who is this man!?
“I-I think we need to start again. You aren’t meant to talk to me like this! Who do you think you are!?”
The woman was getting angry as Han kept on ignoring her aura! Han eyed her for a moment before huffing and she felt like blasting him into oblivion! He was so lucky that she wasn’t here physically! She would’ve killed him a long time ago! She just appeared here because someone finally found her secret passage. She has been waiting to see if any of the chosen would be able to find it since the Temple was made, and now that someone was able to find it, it turns out to be a man with no manners!
Han could see how the Celestial was becoming angry and he almost chuckled. He already got a lot of information on this woman from Yuuma before he even came. Her name was Dyana, and she was one of the regular Celestials. She didn’t have any special powers other than her ability to trap any mortal in her illusions and holy aura.
According to Yuuma, the best way to get her angry is to keep resisting the aura. Han didn’t have time to start talking to her like she was some kind of saint, so he is just going to plow his way through her aura. And hopefully through her later.
“Okay, okay. Whatever. I’m meant to get a weapon, right? Just hand it over so I can be on my way!”
Dyana lost her mind! Who did this mortal think he was talking to!? Did he have a death wish!?
“Y-You idiot! I’ll never forget this insult! How can you behave like this in front of a Celestial!”
