Chapter 683: The Fear of Shedinja

"Sigh, Ok, I agree to the bet but I will still not give you all the details about my creation.", said Mr. Mime.

"Then why don't we change it a bit? You will teach each of my Pokemon 1 single barrier move of my choosing and they could be different.

You will also teach the Mime Jr. of mine would be evolved to Mr. Rime your concepts and ways to create a barrier move.", said Axel.

"I agree with the first part of it but why should I teach my ways and concepts?"

Axel was not just asking for every barrier move but the ways it creates them. This was even more valuable.

"Oh come on, I am doing this for you."

"Yes, knowing your personality, you would obviously want a successor and since you don't have anyone near you, you don't have one. So, you can just treat my future Pokemon as your successor and teach him your ways."

Mr. Mime was now thinking about Axel's proposal. It was true that it wanted to have a successor but it had not met any Pokemon that would be talented enough to be its successor.

"I agree to it but first I would have to test it. If it fails my test, then I would not teach it anything. Do remember that I have not been able to find a single successor till now."

"OK, I agree. Do we have a deal?"

"Yes, we have a deal. Oh, you have only 5 minutes left."

Now, it was not that the ghost and dark-type Pokemons would not be able to learn this move. They could as the paper didn't say that the Pokemon would have to be a psychic type but psychic type moves were one the hardest moves a Pokemon could train in.

So, it would naturally take more than 3 days for any dark or ghost-type Pokemons to learn the move and they only had 3 days.

"Axel, since you selected the move, then you must have a way to deal with this problem too.", said Kizaru.

"Yes, as matter of fact I do.", said Axel, and then looked at the ground and said, "Arise."

The shape of the shadow of Axel changed vividly and Shedinja came into view.

"Really, you think that your Shedinja would be able to do it?", asked Jin.

While others were questioning the decision of Axel, Lumos, the wandering sage was staring at Shedinja.

It already knew that there was a Pokemon inside Axel's shadow but it didn't know much about it because it never gave it much thought. When a tier 2 king-rank Shedinja came into view, it could immediately tell that this Shedinja was different. This Shedinja was a lot closer to its ancestors in ancient times.

Mr. Mime started to visibly sweat while looking at this Shedinja. It had personally seen the horror of powerful Shedinja during ancient times till Ho-Oh came and intervened.

Mr. Mime didn't know how this kid was able to improve this Shedinja to its former self during ancient times, but it knew that it could not mess with this kid and Shedinja. The horrors of the past still haunted it.

"If I were to die in the future, my tribe would come to you for protection and you will protect them.", said Mr. Mime.

"Oh, ok. I don't mind protecting them.", said Axel thinking not much. He just didn't believe that Lumos could really die in the future.

This was a pleasant surprise. Axel didn't know that it was possible to have such an increase in hidden power mastery. None of his Pokemon had a hidden power mastery of 100%. Shedinja was now very close to reaching 100% and he was excited to know much about it.

"I just cannot believe that a non-psychic Pokemon would be able to do it so fast.", said Parvat.

Parvat looked as if he had lost all of his motivation. He was a psychic-type specialist and knew a lot about psychic-type Pokemons. He knew that Shedinja would not be able to do it in 3 days, no matter its potential.

But the result was in front of his eyes and he could just sigh in defeat.

"So, when can I select Mime Jr.?", asked Axel.

"You cannot do it right now.", replied Mr. Mime.

"But why?"

The breeding time of our species is fixed in my tribe. This is done due to various reasons and I will not be explaining them. So, right now, there are no eggs or there is no Mime Jr. that are in the baby stage. Almost all of them have evolved and those that have not are not talented. You would not want those Pokemons, do you?"

Axel didn't know that there was such a thing.

"So, how much time, would I have to wait?", asked Axel.

"1 and half years for the eggs and another year for the baby to be born.", said Mr. Mime.

"Ok, I will come back after 2 and half years then.", said Axel.

"Yes, I would meet you at the same time, right here. Just show them the same red cloth and they will let you in.", said Mr. Mime and then it disappeared.

After Shedinja learned the move, it was now time for them to return.

"Axel, I believe that the Pokemons out here are a bit special.", said Parvat.

"Why? Is there something different?"

"Yes. First of all, I have never heard of the rule that Mr. Mime would lay eggs at the same time at the interval of 2 years. Secondly, it takes around 3 months for the eggs to hatch, not one year."

"Hmm, maybe this Mr. Mime had done some research to increase the potential and talent of the babies.", said Ram.

"That is highly possible. You are very lucky Axel.", remarked Parvat.

After 4 days,

They had finally reached the human settlement. In their journey, Axel had told Shedinja to teach 'Dark-Ghost barrier' to other dark and ghost type Pokemons but till now none of them had been able to learn it.

Yes, it was true that Shedinja was able to fully train for 8 hours a day, while they could only train for 3 hours a day but it was also true that they were watching Shedinja train with Mr. Mime before.

This showed how good and talented Shedinja really was. This was only possible to due to its hidden power mastery which was also 'Psychic'.

"Finally, I can sleep on the bed.", said Luna yawning and stretching her body. She hated sleeping in tents and sleeping bags. But that was the nature of her job, so she could not do anything.

"Miss. Yami, We have completed our mission. Thanks for all the help.", said Axel as he could see General Yami coming towards them.

"We did nothing to help you guys. I am just happy that all of you returned alive.", said Yami shaking Axel's hand.

"Now, come inside. All of you must be hungry. I have told the cooks to prepare special meals for all of you.", said Yami as she guided them to the canteen.

Jin and Frank were still staring at Yami with lustful eyes. Yami really was very beautiful and sexy.

As they went inside the canteen, they were invited into the VIP area to eat.

All of them sat on the chair and waited for food. Yami and the cooks wasted no time. The dishes started to arrive with alcohol and drink. Axel also shared his cigarette with Yami as he had already shared those with the team before.

They had come back after a major mission filled with uncertainty. So, After the mission was over, all of them let themselves go and now all of them were drunk after a few drinks.

After getting drunk, Jin and Frank finally had the courage to talk to Yami. They tried to make several advances toward her, but she politely declined all of them making them feel sad.

"So, what was special about that place? Why were we not able to sense anything there?", asked Yami.

jin noticing that Yami was finally asking some questions, took it upon himself to answer them and gain some points on her.

"Oh, let me tell you. It was very surprising, to say the least. We.."

"I don't think that we should tell all the secrets of that place before getting the permission of the owner.", snapped Kizaru and Jin stopped talking.

He then realized that he was going to make a very big mistake.

Yami inwardly clicked her tongue. She had missed her chance and now she would never get it. All this preparation of food and drink was to ask that question but Kizaru had ruined it all.

Yami then turned to Axel and asked, "So, can you tell me?"

"Is it you asking or is this the king's command?", asked Axel.

"Why can't it be both?"

"Well, if it is only you asking, then I am sorry. I am not at liberty to share secrets of my land. If it is the King who is asking this question, then I am happy to tell him personally.", said Axel.

Meanwhile, Krishna was staring at Axel. He must admit that even though Axel was only 16 years old, he was very mature enough to reply like that. He respected the king but he didn't even share any information. Krishna was learning a lot from Axel.

After that, Yami didn't think of being a spy and enjoyed the night but the rest of them became wary of her.
