He didn't know what he was missing. He had told Charizard to not use 'Blaze' and 'Transform' during the fight as it would be too much for Mamoswine. But...
"Charles, use 'Blaze' this time. Mamoswine. Be careful now. I am increasing the difficulty for you."

"Charles, stop now!!", shouted Axel as he looked at Mamoswine with shining eyes.
A white and brown glow enveloped Mamoswine and even the surrounding started to decrease in temperature. Axel used his 'Aura coat' to shield himself while he called out all of the Pokemons that were not king rank.

Axel threw his 'Never-melt-ice' that he had bought for spending a huge amount of money. It was around 700 years old and it was naturally formed. It was very powerful and effective for Mamoswine.
The process of ranking up took some time but everything was over within 10 minutes. Axel was now already used to the ranking-up process so he didn't feel any different.

Tonight was a party night. Mamoswine had ranked up to king rank and Axel wanted everyone to celebrate. It was a huge thing and a dream of every Pokemon to rank up to king rank and Mamoswine had done it. With this, he now had 9 king rank Pokemon including Slowbro.
Axel had been communicating with Slowbro and after talking with it for a long time, they had made a decision. It would evolve to Slowking now.
Slowpoke would normally evolve to either Slowbro or Slowking. The process of their evolution was different but basically, if a Shellder bites the tail of the Slowpoke, then it would turn out to be Slowbro and if the Shellder did the same to its head, then it would be Slowking.
Many scientists have confirmed that if the Shellder detaches from its tail then it would revert to its normal form. But none of them had said that a Pokemon could be Slowbro and then it could also turn into Slowking cause none of them knew about Slowking in this world.
Axel didn't want to risk the life of Slowbro but since it had seen Noah's Slowking, it had been thinking about turning into one and now it had started to pester Axel to go for it.
Slowbro had a specific reason to turn into Slowking.
When a Shellder bites Slowpoke on its tail, it starts to lose the capability to feel pain due to the poison from Shellder. While typically lazy and unintelligent before, it now becomes inspired after Shellder bites its tail and its physical powers and psychic powers increase to a new height.
However, when Shellder bites its head, its bite releases venom into Shellder's body causing a chemical reaction that unlocks superior intelligence and extraordinary power.
So, Slowpoke would have both physical enhancement and psychic enhancement. Slowking was the same but the psychic enhancement for Slowking was higher than Slowpoke. Slowpoke would mostly concentrate on physical enhancement.
Slowbro had a psychic core so it wanted to be a Slowking to have more power. Slowking was also a king species that held more grandeur and status. Axel wanted to fulfill the wish of Slowbro but it would be very risky.
He had not seen or done this kind of thing before. So, he had asked Oak to research on it. It had been a month since he told this to Oak, yet he had not gotten any response but today he got a call.

"Hello, my dear student. How have you been? Loving the new region?", asked Oak.
"It is not so bad but it would take some time to get used to. So, why did you call me at this ungodly hour?", asked Axel. He was now copying Oak and this made Oak very angry.
"I called you to tell you the result of the Slowpoke/Slowking research."
"So, did you find anything else? Do you think that it would be possible?", asked Axel.
"It is possible but there is a catch. You can take the Shellder out from its tail and then attach a Shellder to its head but there are 2 conditions to be fulfilled.
1. After it is detached from the tail, Slowbro would revert back to Slowpoke form. After doing this, Slowpoke would be very weak for some months, so you should not reattach it till it recovers and becomes strong. I suggest that it would take 3-4 months to reattach safely.
2. You cannot use other Shellder to reattach it in the head. It had to be the same Shellder. The poison that the Shellder excretes is very unique. It had the properties to enhance Slowbro but these poisons are a bit different from every Shellder. The difference is not high but it is still there. So, using another Shellder might be very risky cause Slowpoke may not be able to handle it."
