Chapter 456: Fighting King rank Pokemons 1

"But why they had not shown themselves in the tide?", asked Axel.

"Axel, we wanted to finish the night raid as fast as we could. So, we started to kill every wild Pokemon. We also killed all the Pokemons that were running from the battlefield. This enraged king rank Pokemons and they came to us for revenge.

Such a thing didn't happen in the day tide and I believe that we should not do that again. We lost many soldiers and 200k of them are in a coma. I think we should move slowly.", said Agatha.

Agatha was right about this. He wanted to finish the night raid as fast as he could cause he needed Agatha in day tide. However, he had not expected that he would lose so many soldiers when he was in a coma.

"Ok, we will move slowly. Hector, tell the central zone that we need more nurses and medicines. If we are moving slowly we would need to properly take care of our Pokemons.

Agatha, you will be in the night raid till we finish those 2 king rank Pokemons. However, I may call you in day tide too if I need your assistance. Right now, you can take a rest."

"Kent, Clair, first let me apologize. If I was not in a coma then you would not have lost one of your Pokemons. I promise that I will not let that happen."

"Axel, we participated in the tide thinking that we may lose someone. You don't need to apologize for it. It is due to our incompetence."

Kurt and Clair seemed way more mature than Axel in this kind of things. If Axel had lost one of his Pokemons, then he would not be able to control himself. He would not be so calm like them. Axel respected that.

"Most of the Pokemons that we are facing are water-type Pokemons. Electric team and grass team have been highly effective but now we are starting to face a lot of pseudo-king rank Pokemons.

We might need your help on it.", said Hector.

"What about flying type Pokemon? How are we dealing with them and have the traps been effective?"

"We only had 1 encounter of flying-type Pokemons. We immediately used the traps that you suggested and it was very effective. After that, we didn't have any encounters.

Traps have been highly effective. The soldiers didn't appreciate it at first but now they are realizing about it."

"That is nice.

Tomorrow, I and Clair would open the tide battle. Dragon and Kurt would be on the sidelines. We would need your help if anything bad happens", said Axel.

After talking for some time, all of them went to sleep.

Hector was wide awake monitoring all the areas. Axel was very tired today. They were able to do something progressive for the night raid but the day raid still remained.

Of the 3 million soldiers, 200k of them were in a coma. The central zone had given them an additional 200k soldiers. 40k of them had died and 10k of them were seriously injured.

So now, 100k of them were for the night raid. 2 million of them were for the day tide and the rest were resting. They could be used for emergencies or for the next day. These were the soldiers who were heavily tired for the day.

Axel was the first one to go on the battlefield.

At 8 a.m. they were bombarded by elemental rank Pokemons and pseudo-king rank Pokemons. Surprisingly, there were no rare-rank Pokemon this time. This confused Axel. Rare ranks were in the largest number. So, why were they not here?

Axel called out all of his Pokemons except for Alakazam and Pidgeot. Alakazam was injured and it needed some time to rest. Pidgeot was still in a coma.

After fighting for 5 days, his Pokemons were adept in dealing with pseudo-king rank Pokemons. Everyone had their own team. Nidoking and Steelix teamed up and started to deal heavy damage to pseudo-king rank Pokemons.

Mamoswine and Gyarados was another team while Beedrill, Gogoat, and Venusaur were dealing a lot of damage to pseudo-king rank Pokemons.

Absol and Tauros were also helping Mamoswine and Gyarados.

Then Axel saw some king-rank Pokemons. He had a hunch that he would face some of them today.

There were 5 of them.

Gyarados, Poliwrath, Vaporeon, Kingler and Nidorina.

Axel immediately divided his teams. He realized that all of them were tier 1 king-rank Pokemon.

"I would face 4 of them. You deal with Vaporeon.", he said to Clair.

He instantly divided the team.

Poliwrath would fight with Gogoat and Beedrill

Gyarados would fight with Mamoswine and Venusaur

Nidorina would fight with Nidoking

Kingler would fight with Tauros, Absol, Steelix, and Gyarados

Axel knew that the battle against Poliwrath and Nidorina would be easy. He knew that Nidoking could deal with Nidorina alone. However, the battle against Gyarados and Kingler was a bit tricky.

Gyarados was one of the most powerful water-type Pokemon. Only Mamoswine and Venusaur were fighting against it. None of them were king-rank Pokemons. Gyarados was not weak to grass type or ice type moves. So, this battle would be challenging.

The next was Kingler.

The only king-rank Pokemon that was fighting it was Steelix and it was weak to water type attacks. None of his Pokemon had any type of advantage against Kingler and it was going to be a hard battle.

He wanted Nidoking to finish up Nidorina as fast as it could. Gogoat and Beedrill should also be able to do the same. After they won the battle, they would focus on other battles.

So,

"Mamoswine, Venusaur, Tauros, Absol, Steelix and Gyarados. Don't try to win the battle. Try to extend it as much as you can. We will only go in offensive when others finish their battle."

Gyarados, Tauros and Absol didn't want to defend. They loved to attack. They were offensive Pokemons. However, this was the tide and even they knew that they had to follow Axel's commands.

Gyarados Vs Mamoswine and Venusaur.

Gyarados started with 'Rain dance'. Mamoswine also started with 'Hail'. 'Rain dance' was also effective for Mamoswine but 'Hail' was bad news for Venusaur.

Venusaur was weak to ice type. One might wonder why Axel chose Mamoswine and Venusaur for a team. This was only done due to Venusaur's healing abilities. He knew that Gyarados had high attack power even though Mamoswine had excellent defense. It needed support from Venusaur to last in the battle.

The battle went on for 10 minutes straight. Gyarados was also not using its most powerful moves. It did try to use 'Hyper beam'. Mamoswine then used 'Dig' to inside and dodge the attack while Venusaur simply dodged it. Venusaur had also used 'Grassy Terrain'.

So, it was healing when it had to tank a hit from Gyarados. The battle was going in Gyarados's favor as both Mamoswine and Venusaur were injured.

"Venusaur, now use 'Sunny day' and then 'Solar beam'.", said Axel.

It was now time to bring out the big guns.

2 small balls of light came from its mouth and they went high in the air. The balls of yellow light were now getting bigger and bigger.

Venusaur didn't have to take time to charge 'Solar beam' as it had already used 'Sunny day'. The effects of 'Hail' and 'Rain dance' were over, so the sky had drastically changed from snowy and rainy to harsh sunlight.

2 yellow beams of powerful light came and started to move towards Gyarados.

Gyarados saw those beams of light and was successful in dodging one of them but it was unable to dodge the second one. The move was very fast 'Solar beam' was now a high-level move.

BANNNGG

The beam of light struck Gyarados and it was flowing in the air and it crashed on the ground.

Mamoswine took advantage of it and used 'Anchor shot' to bind Gyarados. It then also used 'Blizzard' to freeze Gyarados.

However, Gyarados was a king-rank Pokemon and it was not easy to freeze it completely.

This time, Axel had an evil smile on his face.

"Mamoswine, use 'Icy wind'", shouted Axel.

Mamoswine had already used moves like 'Hail', 'Ice shard' and 'Icicle spear' before. So, there were many chunks of ice and ice type energy around the battlefield.

When Axel told it to use 'Icy wind', it was able to spread chilly wings around the surrounding that started to freeze everything.

'Icy wind' was a powerful move now. It was above level 50 and it had been upgraded to freeze everything around it.

This also froze the Gyarados like an ice sculpture. Axel was happy that they were able to subdue a king rank Pokemon like Gyarados but he was wrong.

Crackk.. Crackk.. Crack...

The ice that froze Gyarados started to crack in multiple places and then....

ROOOARRRRR

Gyarados gave a huge roar announcing its presence on the field.

"Now, both of you, use 'Earthquake'. Meg, you use 'Fissure'."

2 'Earthquake' and 1 'Fissure' hit Gyarados directly. Since it had just come off from being frozen, it was not able to dodge the attack.

Nidoking and Steelix had finished their battle and they had come to help Mamoswine and Venusaur.

Both of them were king rank and even though both of them had ground typing, they were powerful.

Since Gyarados was on the ground, the attack did affect it. Half of its body was inside the hole that 'Fissure' that created and its tail was cut off by Mamoswine's 'Anchor shot'.

Nidoking then fired up a 'Spinning poison' and finished the battle.

Gogoat and Beedrill had also finished their battle and they were helping the team that was fighting against Kingler.

Very soon, they also won cause Kingler had to face 5 pseudo-king rank Pokemons and 1 king rank Pokemons.

Clair had also dealt with Nidorina. It was a tier 1 king-rank Pokemon and it was no problem for Clair.

After the battle, Axel called out all of his Pokemons to rest. Nidoking was the one who was the most tired. It had used 4 'Spinning poison' and that had taken a lot of its stamina. None of them used their pre-domain moves as it would consume a lot of stamina.

The wild Pokemons also didn't use any pre-domain moves so it was smooth selling.

After an hour, another group of King-ranked Pokemon came to attack them. This time there were 10 of them. 8 of them were in tier 1 while 2 of them were in tier 2.

"Call Dragon and Kurt. We need their help now.", said Axel to Gramn. He was one of the Venu family members who had 2 king-rank Pokemons. He was staying idle till this time.

Now he would also have to participate in the tide.

He nodded his head and immediately called Kurt and Dragon.

Kurt had 3 King rank Pokemons. 2 of them were in tier 2 and 1 of them was in tier 3. Dragon was also a powerful trainer. He was not as powerful as Agatha but he could make a huge difference in tide. Axel was lucky to have him.

4 days went on like this.

The 2 king-rank Gengars never came for revenge. Axel did have to use Agatha during the night raid cause he didn't want other soldiers to go into a coma.

The day raids were going on a full roll.

After 4 days, they were able to kill 50 king-rank Pokemons. The most powerful of them were tier 2 king-rank Pokemons. Till now, no tier 3 king-rank Pokemons had shown up during the day time.

Fortunately, Axel's team had not lost a single king-rank Pokemons. This was mostly due to Axel's battle strategies. Dragon and Agatha had also helped him a lot.

They did lose some soldiers but those numbers were almost negligible. It had been 10 days since the tide started but it felt like the tide would be finished in another 10 days.

However, all of their Pokemons and they themself were tired. Especially the king rank Pokemons. Agatha was not there in the daytime, so Axel, Kurt, Clair, Dragon, Gramn and Lucid had to take care of the time raid.

There were other soldiers who had king-rank Pokemon but all of them were helping Agatha during the night time.

Then something changed.

"It has been 3 days... 3 days!!! And you are saying that you have nothing to say? What are the scouts doing? They must have something to report.", shouted Axel.

"Sir, we really have nothing. I talked to the central zone and they were not facing anomalies like us. They are fighting like regular tide.

However, our zone is facing such a thing. I don't think it is something to be worried about.", said Hector.

"Hector, it has been 7 days and we have not faced a single king-rank Pokemon. Even the number of pseudo-king rank Pokemon has decreased. Only elemental and rare rank Pokemons could be found in the battlefield. This is not normal.

I feel that we are going to face something that we could not handle.", said Axel.
