Chapter 259: Other Regions

The selection process was done at the same place where they had a meeting. Alakazam had teleported all of them to that part of the forest. Most of them were excited and some of them were nervous.

The selection process went well and Axel introduced Noah, his uncle on a behalf of him. He would not be here all the time and he needed someone to trade all those resources. Noah had agreed with this development.

After the selection process was over, Axel asked Slowbro, "Are they ready?"

'Yes, they are. Let me take you to them.'

Axel had personally asked for a Pidgey with the highest potential. Slowbro had selected 5 of them and they were now ready to meet them.

After the plane crash and tide, he realized that he lacked a flying-type Pokemon. Charizard was flying-type Pokemon too but it was not known for its flying powers. Beedrill and Shedinja could also fly and Alakazam could levitate, but when it came to pure flying type Pokemon, Axel didn't have any.

If Arbok was a flying type Pokemon Axel would have surely lost. So, he decided to get 1 flying type Pokemon.

And what better flying-type Pokemon than Pidgey? Don't mistake it for being everywhere. Pidgey line were known for their speed. Pidgeot could fly at Mach 2 speed and ancient Pidgeot were assumed to fly at Mach 10 speed. Mach 1 speed was 1225.04 km per hour.

That was a lot of speed. If he could capitalize on its flying speed and wind element as he had seen from Elder Adam, Pidgeot could be a badass Pokemon.

Getting all his hopes up, Axel went to see a total of 5 Pidgey waiting for him excitedly.

After looking at 5 of them, he discarded 3 of them and now he had to choose from 2 of them. He was in a dilemma. He looked at the first Pidgey stats

It was very rare to find a black potential Pokemon in the wild. It also had good attack moves and since it was only 3 months, it could learn a lot.

The second Pokemon only had brown potential which was worse than black potential but it had something that interested Axel.

It had an electric type move!!!! What does that mean? It means that its hidden power was obviously electric and if it could master the electric hidden power typing, it would be free of one of the 3 weaknesses.

Axel saw that it had also mastered its ability much more than other Pokemons. This could also mean that it was more tune to infinity energy than others. So, it would be easier to train.

But it was only of brown potential.

What should he choose? He wanted to take both of them but he knew he would not have the time to train both of them.

So, finally, he chose....

"I choose you.", he said to the Pidgey who had 'Parabolic charge'. The Pidgey was happy. Axel told it to tell final goodbye to its family and finally, he caught it on a master ball.

He said his goodbyes and then left the forest. He was in a happy mood.

On the other side of the world, the elite 4 and champions from other regions were in an uproar.

"You mean to tell me that Axel Blaze was a zone commander of a nowhere town and he beat the tide with excellence?"
