Chapter 258: Resource Allocation

Slowbro, Poliwrath, Pidgeot, Machamp and Ninetales.

'It has been some time. You were correct about it. Almost all of us have experienced rapid growth and some of us have even reached elemental rank. I thank you for that.', said Slowbro. It was the only Pokemon that could communicate with Axel.

"Yes, I also brought Slowpoke. It was missing its family.", said Axel.

Slowpoke went inside the forest to search for its family. Axel didn't disturb it.

'Have you come here for the resources or the Pokemons?', asked Slowbro.

"Both of them actually. First of all, I want you to ready 20 Pokemons that are just over 3 months old. They must be willing to travel and be with their trainers. I don't need them to have the highest potential but mediate potential would be nice.", said Axel.

'That can be done but it would take 1 day to do it.'

"I am fine with that. Tomorrow, I would bring 20 young trainers who are 13 yrs old. They would select their first Pokemons from the bunch. I assure you that they would not be mistreated.

If I happen to find them to be mistreated, I would personally take action."

'I thank you again. Most of the parents are worried about their children. You saying that had helped a lot.'

They knew that Axel would take action and he also had the capability. All of them could sense that Alakazam was now a pseudo-king rank Pokemon.

"Regarding the resources I have another proposal for you."

All of them leaned towards Axel for it.

"The distribution would be 40 and 60. Now before you lash out, let me tell you the reason for it.

At first, I thought to sell 50% of the resources for money and get some of them for me and my family.

But then I realized that I don't need such a huge amount of money and resources.

So, here is the new proposal.

At first, I told you guys that I would handpick the best 50% of the resources of the forest.

1. 10% of the lowest resources would be used by me to sell for money. 30% of that money would be used for you guys and the forest. You can request me anything that money could buy.

2. 15% would be handpicked for me and my family.

3. 25% would go to the village guards and the soldiers who are permanently stationed here for security. These resources would be moderate in quality. They do not have to be the best.

4. 40% would go you to guys. You could sell them for me and I could buy better resources for you. It is entirely up to you.

5. The last 10% would be for the forest itself. I don't want to suck all the resources out of the forest and would want it to grow.

This is my proposal. If you are against it, we could go with the previous option."

Those 5 Pokemons started to talk with silent voices. Even if they were talking in loud voices, Axel would not understand them.

At last, Slowbro came forward and said, ' We agree, but can I ask you a question?'

"Yes, of course."

'Why are you doing this? This proposal is obviously more beneficial for us than you.'

That was correct. The previous proposal would let Axel choose the best 50% of the resources. But now Axel was losing a lot.

"I am a part of this city and I want it to be protected. I know that we have the east and west side of the city under control. But what about the south side? That Arcanine may not be the king of the forest for long. We also don't have any control over the north side where there is a vast sea.

My family lives here so I want them to be protected."

Most of the resources were related to fire type, ground type, rock type, water type, flying type, normal type, grass type, fighting type, poison type, bug type and steel type.

Except for ice, electric, psychic, dragon, ghost, dark and fairy types.

Axel was mostly attracted to type-enhancing items. There were some who were 1000 yrs old but those were very rare.

100 yrs old type enhancing items were found almost everywhere in the forest. But for the 10000 yrs old one, there were none of them.

He was also attracted to evolution items like thunder stone.

There were also some vitamins that he found. Some of them were of the highest quality and this surprised him. Among all the resources, Vitamins were the most abundant in nature in the east and the west forest.

Vitamins were also naturally formed or man-made. Naturally formed ones are more potent and useful than the man-made one.

Pokemon could only take Vitamins till they are uncommon rank. Even if a rare rank Pokemon take vitamins, they would not have any effect. Vitamins are the main ingredients for the better foundation of a Pokemon. So, there were very essential.

"I think you guys should sell some vitamins and I would get you some other resources like type-enhancing items.", said Axel.
