Chapter 269
With enemies pouring in, Damnation drifted back slowly as golden whips emerged from its body. Within Damnation, Alex’s eyes were like a thick black whirlpool, surging with immense power and might!
He stretched his hand forward and a ridiculously powerful suction force exploded from his body, pulling everything in the massive hallway towards him. Before anything could happen they could feel immense pulling the battleships forward! Many were caught off guard but before they could react the golden tendrils smashed into them, piercing deep and forcing them to explode!
These tendrils were like the arms of the grim reaper, stealing the lives of everyone caught by it! Alex’s eyes flashed with killing intentions as he saw the three figures standing amidst his gravity attack, resisting his power.
Alex knew Damnation is a big target and such a target would make it easier to deal with for these three, thankfully Damnation was linked to his mind and had the ability to act on its own accord, that’s why many races converted it.
Shhhhh!
The cockpit area opened up and Alex shot out of it, shooting toward the trio with fierce flames surging around him. The golden flames consumed his body, shrouding his features in an alluring golden armor while two mini black holes could be seen surging on his palms!
“KYLE OF THE SHAMAN RACE! THAT LIFE YOU OWE, I INTEND TO COLLECT!” Alex bellowed like a furious beast as raced forward
Seeing this the trio grimaced but none attempted to escape. In a battle like this, they represented the entire alliance! If news got out that they were forced to flee at the hands of one man, even with the countless resources and manpower in their possession, would the higher-ups let them live?
.....
“You don’t have what it takes!” Kyle snorted disdainfully as the silver wolf turned into a silver fume, racing into Alex’s body. His body began enlarging while he began growing silver fur. In the blink of an eye, he became a silver werewolf, but even then he did not change forward.
His large domineering figure remained unmoving and unbothered even with Alex’s bloody threats. He was like a backbone to the other three and the confident aura around him made everyone around him calm!
In an instant, the chaos and confusion caused by Alex were gone.
Aura of a leader!
“Hmph! I would love to see how you plan to remain confident!” Alex growled disdainfully as fierce flames but before he could complete his attack he felt the threat of death once again!
How?
This time Alex was truly afraid. Never in his life has his life been threatened so many times and in a short period of time. His body shudders as he planned and halted his advance only to see more battleships shooting past the trio!
“You!!!” Alex’s black eyes surged with endless power as his gravity powers were pushed to the limit!
He dared not hesitate against these suicidal attacks!
The space between him and his enemies was disturbed. Twisting and turning in ways that shouldn’t be possible but even then these ships were able to traverse through this terrain, shooting towards Alex without hesitation!
This!
Alex turned pale in fear as his body began shooting backward towards Damnation while he kept trying to repel these people with his gravity ability.
He could see the thick layers of shields and barriers of various kinds and colors preventing his powers from reaching them.
How they are able to create a barrier that can stop the power of gravity was something he could not explain, nor did he have the luxury to dwell on such thoughts.
[These people! There are going to kill me!] Alex’s mind raced as the thoughts ran into his mind without control.
Right now he couldn’t see anything else outside the countless battleships struggling to smash into his tiny figure. This made him wonder what kind of motivational speech would make these people so eager to die.
Do these shamans have some sort of brainwashing techniques?
He has never seen people so eager to lose their lives!
“ALEX BRIGGS! THAT DEBT I OWE, I APOLOGIZE I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF PAYING! IN FACT, I PLAN TO TAKE EVEN MORE FROM YOU UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO TAKE!” Kyle laughed hysterically with a cruel smile on his face.
Hearing these words Alex’s face turned frosty as he stopped his retreat and faced the enemy head on.
In the past, even when going against the world’s greatest guardians, none of them dared speak to him in such a manner. He has always commanded respect from both friends and foes, yet this infidel who he spared his life just a few weeks ago dares to speak to him in such a manner!
This was no longer about what he can and cannot do!
Right now, his pride as a peak expert was on the line! If he failed to kill these people, how can he live peacefully?
“I WILL RISK MY LIFE TO TAKE YOURS!”
Everyone expected Alex to scream in fury but instead, he seemed incredibly calm with an icy tone which sent chills down the spine of everyone. His calm and low voice boomed in the ears of everyone present, making them turn pale in fright as they saw the cold and detached eyes pinned on them.
Alex had been truly vexed this time!
As if reacting to his thoughts, the golden tendrils of Damnation shot forward like spears, smashing into the barriers of the battleships but it couldn’t pierce through, but even then, Alex didn’t panic!
He casually waved his hand and Damnation began retreating. Meanwhile, his eyes revealed a terrifying golden light.
“You won’t dare!” The deity lady instantly shuddered in fear as if she understood Alex’s thoughts.
Kyle and the sky demon man were left confused but seeing the terrified look on the eyes of the others they knew something was wrong.
“Why wouldn’t I? I have nothing to lose” Alex said as his golden body began cracking, revealing lava surging within his body.
His aura turned so fierce even the battleships couldn’t get close. Without hesitation, the deity race lady began fleeing. Seeing this, Kyle and the sky demon man didn’t ask questions, instead, they began running as well. It was better to stay safe than sorry!
“Hahahaha! Think you can flee? I would like to see that happen! Big Bang explosion!” Alex growled furiously as his body lit up with immense power and a fierce explosion reputed.
............
From a distance, the energy revolvers meant to extract Alex after the mission saw Damnation shooting at them. Their eyes carried a hint of confusion but what happened next shook them to the core!
A fierce explosion erupted, blowing Damnation who was already far away! Without hesitation, these energy revolvers piloted their seeds and quickly attempted to flee the area! The explosion was so fierce even people on the planet could see it causing everyone’s hearts to sink.
The members of the culture in the underground chamber yanked their eyes open with a fierce look in their eyes. Without being told they could tell something was wrong!
Boom!
The fierce explosion consumed the entire carrier spaceship and when it finally died down, nothing else could be seen. The other seed pilots quickly gathered around Damnation in jubilation as they assumed Alex had destroyed the enemy but they soon realized Damnation powered down after the explosion, and the open cockpit revealed the empty space within.
Alex was not there!
Without a second thought, they all looked toward the explosion site with a grave looks on their faces.
If Alex wasn’t here, doesn’t that mean he was caught in the explosion?
Can he really survive something that powerful?
.........
The explosion died down and a figure completely necked and roasted beyond recognition floated in the empty space. It seems lifeless but if one had strong sensory skills one would notice the feeble life force still struggling within the body.
Alex could feel his vision fading and everything else shutting down. He was prepared to accept death if it meant taking down the enemy. These Suicidal tactics were unexpected and unnecessarily effective, forcing him to do this.
This was the only way he could win even in death. He found it shameful to admit that he would have lost the fight without doing this.
For the first time in his life, he had been thoroughly defeated.
All he could do now was wait for death and pass on silently. He had done his best and even though he knew things would have been easier if he brought the members of the culture with him, he changed what has been done already.
All his life, he has been fighting alone. After his betrayal, he found it hard to believe in anyone again or rely on anyone.
Even if given another chance he may still end up coming here alone. The enemy was just vicious and diabolical. It’s not something even a team can defend against easily.
“I will be leaving the rest to you... Silver...” Alex said with the last strength he could muster
