Chapter 242
His words left the room silent, making the elders and the members of the culture understand why Alex was adamant about not joining the alliance. Looking at their activities now, it was quite similar to that of the Danites. The thought of working for such people suddenly felt a bit repulsive. In fact, they didn’t fancy the idea of working with them either!
Everyone watched with a confused look on their faces as they tried to understand what was happening clearly but it seemed only Alex had the full picture.
If he had his way, he wouldn’t even bother speaking with these people in the first place! The thought of having people like these as allies has always been a very disgusting thought to Alex but he needed it! If he is to progress with his martial techniques he needs more information from them but if they are not going to cooperate with him, there is no reason for him to be polite either.
“Do you really plan to go against the alliance? War in space is an entirely different affair! There is a limit to what you can do as you are alone. You are a lone wolf but in this case, what you need is an army! You need a capable leader to put your talents to good use!” The Danite lady argued.
“When did Alex Briggs become a tool that just anyone can use? Are you dumb?” Alex asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Since the alliance will not be a part of my scheme then it’s truly sad to say this but I will meet them on the battlefield,” Alex said to Kyle of the shaman race with a casual yet terrifying look on his face.
“As for the sky demon race secret and the deity race secrets, I will get my hands on them as soon as I get your army to surrender to me” Alex snorted disdainfully before dismissing them.
Alex and the elders would soon be seen standing atop the council tower as they watched the spacecraft of the alliance hovering in the distance. His eyes were stern and cold as he knew life was about to get twice as hard as usual.
.....
The Estos race can be used as his primary force but they are too little in terms of numbers!
“Are you really going to let them go like that?” Emperor finally spoke up after the massive spacecraft had vanished into the distance.
Refusing the alliance is no different from making an enemy out of them and also leaving themselves open and prone to future attacks.
“They are not needed” Alex said with a stern look which made it obvious he wasn’t honest here.
“Warfare in space is quite different from what you think” Jalic Gale said to Alex.
His eyes rippled with strange emotions as he leaned forward and spoke up without hesitation.
“While you may be strong or even invincible, it would be useless in space since battles will take place in aircraft. This is why both the Danites and alliance are not battling each other. Right now they are gathering more manpower to operate more spacecraft. Even if we decide to become your independent force, our little population will limit the number of spacecraft we can operate. Forming a complete crew for over fifty spaceships would be close to impossible” Jalic Gale protested but Alex didn’t seem moved.
Instead, his eyes shone strangely as he shot Jalic Gale a bright smile before turning to the rest of the team.
“We have seeds and this is something they don’t have... at least a Seed is far more effective than the average spacecraft. Things here are more complicated than you think but where there are complications, there is also a bountiful harvest to be reaped. All we need to do now is think” Alex said calmly, making it very clear that his plan is not yet complete so he cannot voice it out.
While Alex didn’t voice out his intentions, he knew what he was saying. Spacecraft were nice and all that but they were nowhere as good as a seed! Should a battle commence and the enemy is going against a Seed, Alex would consider this another form of suicide.
The seed is more versatile and easier to operate. With the connection made between pilot and seed, it wouldn’t be too shocking if one seed is equivalent to ten spaceships!
The others may be blind to this earth shattering strength and importance of a seed but Alex could see it.
Till today only members of the council knew how to construct the seeds. With the information about their trump card hidden from the universe, how can they lose?
A spaceship requires at least thirteen or more people to form a crew but a seed is far different!
All it needs is one pilot. If they can mass produce seeds for every member of the Estos race they should be able to make up for the number of disadvantages they suffer!
“Warfare is more intense than you think young lad. Even if you have an army, you will need to have knowledge of military formations and strategies before you lead an army into battle... There is so much that needs to be put in place and we are invading, not even defending. It’s definitely not going to be as easy as you make it look” Jalic Gale said coldly and everyone else nodded in agreement.
They felt like Alex was undermining how difficult it was to prepare an army for war and that you as something they found really frustrating. The calm look on his face when talking about it, as if it was nothing was pissing them off.
“Can it be done?” Alex asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Yes, but it will take time” Jalic Gale said with a. Grown.
“Then begin preparations.... I think with the coming of the alliance, we shouldn’t be expecting visitors any time soon.... So time shouldn’t be a problem” Alex said casually.
