Chapter 210
The entire space around Damnation shattered like glass as its fist drove right through the body of the black death, appearing at the other end! They all watched as the black death struggled fiercely before it finally gave up!
[Black death Killed successfully]
Pffff!
Instantly, Damnation’s cockpit opened up and Damon fell out of it. His body was blinking like a dying light bulb. He felt extremely lightheaded and terribly weak. With his current level of strength as an energy revolver, it turns out that he can only use Damnation for a short while. Luckily he was caught by the Damnation so he didn’t get hurt.
Bang!
Finally, the students and the instructor called their seeds and jumped into the battlefield. With Jaric Gale killing black death, wiping out the Purgatory hounds wasn’t too difficult. In mere minutes the small hordes of baron-level beasts have been wiped out without issues, once again proving how effective the seeds are. Even if they were thrice the number of students here, they wouldn’t have been able to achieve this much without the seeds.
While they set up perimeter barriers and the instructor found the power source in the area where she could set up the teleportation platform, Alex remained silent and just meditated while recovering slowly.
He sat on Damnation’s hand while it stood next to the corpse of the black death. Other classmates often stole glances at him! But right now it wasn’t just fear in their eyes but admiration. No matter where you go as long as you have the required power, you are bound to be hated and loved. Even though he ran out of power to pilot Damnation, no one tried to do anything funny. After seeing his performance without Damnation, many concluded that he may even end up beating them without his seed.
.....
Suddenly Alex opened his eyes and frowned. He stood up and gazed into the distance catching the attention of everyone else including instructor Kas.
“What’s wrong?” the instructor asked.
“To take back this world, you all will have to raise a united army and fight together because what you are going against are not wild beasts, instead it is an army!” Alex said with a frown
“More mutant beasts approaching our location. They are trying to surround us!” A student cried out while gazing at the screen.
How could Jaric Gale notice their presence before their sensory equipment?
“What do we do?” Tyron Tane asked Jaric Gale and the rest of the class ignored the instructor and gazed at him.
Many have acknowledged his skills so it isn’t too shocking that something like this happened.
Alex remained seated as he pondered on what to do next. His eyes were cold as he gazed at the distance and frowned. He has recovered some energy but that won’t be enough to pilot Damnation for a long while, outside that he could sense more viscount level beasts coming this time around.
“Alex Briggs doesn’t fail” he mumbled as got on his feet and nimbly jumped around his seed before sliding into the cockpit.
“Prepare your selves for the fight of your lives....” Alex said coldly.
“I need roughly, thirty minutes to complete this” Instructor Kaz said.
“You will get forty... All descendants of the twelve elders will be the main fighting force of the team, the other will form a circle around the instructor and provide support...” Alex said with a frown.
The perimeter set up was a circular barrier similar to that of the city while it can only let things bearing the badge of the city out and in, that’s why students can come and go without any restriction, while mutants beasts can’t!
Without hesitation, the class quickly jumped into formation. While Damnation and other seeds belonging to the kids of the twelve elders stepped outside the barrier, the other students surrounded the instructor and switched to ranged weapons. As long as they can set up this teleportation formation, reinforcement from the city can arrive instantly and they will be able to leave without issues.
“I will charge in and get the attention of the enemy, Your duty is to protect this barrier with the help of those behind. No matter what don’t fall in too deep and if you can’t handle the horde anymore retreat into the barrier!” Alex commanded.
“Understood!” Everyone responded all at once.
His eyes were calm and strange as he gazed into the distance. He leaned forward and considered how to deal with this problem but then a screen appeared inside his cockpit and he saw Jalic Gale with a few elderly Estos men whom he considered other elders.
“If you can complete this mission, your request will be granted. That is the decision of the council!” Jalic Gale said with a frown.
A strange yet fierce smile bloomed on Alex’s face which sent shivers down the spine of the elders. It looked like Alex had lost his senses!
“Say no more!” Alex grinned.
“Don’t forget, after this, you will return to your identity as Alex Briggs. The world needs to know you and what you have done for them to believe in our actions and decisions” Jalic said firmly.
“Yes, yes... Now I have a war to win. We will talk later” Alex said with a cruel smile and Jalic nodded, turning off the screen.
Alex exhaled as thoughts flooded into his mind. With this gene linkage, he can regain his deviant abilities, and that way he will be able to push his martial techniques to their peak once again! All he has to do is hold out for half an hour and minimize damage on their side.
“I am one step closer to becoming myself again and even stronger. With this power I should be able to reclaim what was lost...” Alex muttered as images of his past life flashed through his eyes.
It finally stopped when he remembered his son Alex, someone born with immense strength and power and under the Danites. When the time comes, he may have to kill that boy before he will be able to reach the Ainsworths!
