Chapter 122
“Why are all those around me too impulsive?” Alex sighed as he staggered forward while accumulating more breathing power.
If he had a beast core, recovering wouldn’t be much of a problem but that didn’t matter either. It will only prolong the inevitable.
Hiss!
Meow!
The serpent’s eyes fell on the cat as it raised its head proudly and hissed the cat meowed bad leaped forward shooting towards the serpent!
At first, the height it could jump to was ridiculously high but suddenly it was engulfed in dark red flames, surging dangerously!
Both Alex and the serpent beast were stunned and a bit slow in their reaction, giving the cat an opportunity to reach the serpent and strike viciously with its massive claws!
Hissed!
.....
Dark red flames surged uncontrollably in the right eyes of the serpent and it let out a massive cry while retreating!
Bam!
The massive hellfire cat which was about Alex’s size now stood proudly beside Alex gazing at the enemy fiercely. Its body had turned Gray as it enlarged with black stripes now. Its whiskers were made of flames just the same way its hair and paws were covered with flames.
The eyes of the cat now were blood red, extremely intimidating but when its gaze switched to Alex, it didn’t look so scary.
“Hahaha! For this, I will call you, Little beast!” Alex laughed madly
Meow!
The cat let out an annoyed cry as if to let Alex know the name is terrible. It.
“Let’s leave here first then we can argue about your name later” Alex jumped on the back of little beast and had it carry them away. The first thing he needed to secure was his provisions. He assumed his team left his bag and tent behind just in case he survives. As long as he can get something to eat, they recover their strength and leave this place.
By the way, he had a small first aid kit there.
While they ran he kept looking behind but the mighty serpent had disappeared into the darkness again. He felt fortunate the tiger threat level mutant beast underestimated them so much it didn’t use its true abilities.
Meanwhile Mr white and the rest heard the painful cry of the mutant beast leaving them stunned. Did Alex somehow manage to hurt it?
Melissa’s video caught the beast jerking back and screaming in pain. Making them wonder how Alex managed to hurt the beast.
“He is far stronger than we thought” Kung Jun commented and everyone nodded in agreement.
It’s a pity, fighting a tiger threat level beast at this stage of their life is a death sentence. In their opinion, there is no way Alex will survive that encounter.
Meanwhile, Alex returned to the bank and staggered all the way to the second floor with the small cat running beside him. It returned to its original form once again.
Upon reaching there, Alex found his tent, makings massive smile bloom on his face. He ran into his tent and there he could still see his backpack.
Alex didn’t hesitate to pick it up only to leave the tent and see a massive green eye peeping into the building through the destroyed wall!
His soul left his body for a brief moment but he quickly recovered.
“Run!” Alex screamed as he and the cat began running in the opposite direction.
Hiss!
The serpent quickly withdrew its eyes the moment it saw its prey fleeing and spat out a massive quantity of green gas into the building. Its string corrosive capabilities enabled it to melt everything in its path as it raced towards Alex and the cat!
“Shit!” Alex cursed as he scooped the cat off the ground and jumped through the nearest window, jumping off the building!
His eyes turned black as his body was surrounded by an invisible force and he shot into the air, flying as fast as he could.
Boom!
Boom!
The building crumbled as the serpent smashed through it, chasing after Alex!
“The fuck did I do to you to hate me this much?” Alex complained as his eyes flared up with power and his speed doubled bit even then the beast kept chasing after him!
Meow!
The cat let out a cry to inform Alex that the serpent was gaining on them!
“Good! Very good! Don’t blame me for being ruthless!” Alex growled as his eyes turned pure white!
He stretched towards a building and gripped the empty space and pulled!
Pfft!
Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Alex’s power surged madly as an entire three-story building was ripped off the ground and sent flying towards the serpent!
Boom!
Getting hit from the side, the serpent flee into another building, crushing it while its body sank in!
“IT’S NOT OVER!” Alex growled viciously as his invisible aura reached for two more buildings this time.
Puti!
Alex coughed up blood as he gripped the space and pulled violently. With much resistance, the old buildings got pulled off the floor and thrown at the serpent!
Bang!
Bang!
The two buildings fell on it, pinning it to the ground! Alex’s body shivered before he could regain control over his weak body and fly off.
The military base wasn’t too far from sector H and in an hour or so, So it didn’t take long before Mr. White and the rest of the team returned.
They were quickly summoned to the general’s office to report, and there they narrated the story. Melissa submitted the recorded video of the battle that occurred! Even without seeing Alex, the fact he survived that long was even stunning.
General firestorm gazed at the video coldly, considering whether it would be worth the effort searching now since even he believed fighting a tiger-level mutant beast at this stage is suicide!
He was about to give an order but then a soldier ran in with a shocked look on his face!
“Sir! Alex Briggs has returned!”
