Chapter 118
“It saved me, didn’t it? So what reason do I have to go kill it?” Alex said calmly while playing with the energetic cat.
“It is still a mutant beast, keeping it by your side will only put you in danger the moment it wishes to strike and catches you unawares” Mr. White stepped forward and said. His eyes were pinned on the cat strangely but Alex and the cat ignored him
“Like I said before... If you believe you can win against me... go ahead, try to kill it. If not I suggest you all calm down” Alex said before walking towards the collapsed part of the building. The bright sun rays nourished his body as he approached with a strange look on his face.
Everyone watched as Alex reached the edge and turned to them saying.
“I’m going out for a little walk... hopefully I can find a few mutant beasts on the way and deal with them... I will be back in an hour or two” Alex said calmly before jumping off.
“Is he under the cat’s control?” Blaze asked but Kung Jun shook his head.
“I don’t think so... He’s still the same and I believe he has his reasons for acting this way” Jun said stunning people.
This is like the first time Jun has spoken since they came to this place so they found it strange.
.....
Meanwhile, Alex walked across the empty streets with his hands shoved deep in his pockets. His eyes looked dull and for some reason, he felt restless when he was around those guys.
Alex called Tracy and informed her of all that happened and she promised to look into the mutant beast database and find out what kind of mutant beast the cat is.
Right now no matter how much he tried he couldn’t sense the strength level of the cat. The cat walked calmly by his side while gazing at him curiously too.
Knowing how animals are, Alex never remembered cats to be the submissive type or well behaved so even without the others raising suspicions he could tell the cat wasn’t that simple.
“What are you?” Alex asked and the cat paused and looked like it was thinking before turning to Alex with a bright look on its face.
Meow!
“That’s not what I asked...” Alex cried in his heart but he kept walking.
With the cat leading the way, he soon realized the cat was quite familiar with this area and it was leading him somewhere.
Alex hesitated a bit but then threw away his worries and followed it.
The cat led him on a thirty minutes walk, after which they reached an old wooden shed that seemed strangely intact and had no plants on it.
Following the cat into the shed, Alex was stunned to see something entirely unexpected!
Outside the shed, one would believe there isn’t enough space in here for barely anything. Even a small living room was bigger than the building but when he went in, he was greeted with a massive spacious room with numerous advanced machines present.
All of them were so high tech, Alex couldn’t tell what they are made of! Even the Ainsworth family didn’t have something like this impressive.
At the other end of the room was a massive metal ring with numerous metal wires the size of a human body, plugged into numerous generators! Alex quickly pulled out his phone and took photos of what he saw but then he noticed something that made him freeze.
The cat ran over to a small space between two generators and in there was a being, definitely not human.
It had Gray skin color two long tendrils sticking at the back of its head but it was tied together like an average man would tie his hair into a ponytail.
The man wore bright blue battle gears but there was a hole in his chest and blue blood flowing. Its blue eyes dimmed and it looked incredibly weak, making Alex frown.
“Human?” It said with a deep yet weak voice. Anyone could tell this being was tired.
Alex was too stunned to even consider taking a picture. He wondered what type of mutant beast this thing maybe.
“You can speak English?” Alex asked skeptically while he watched the cat run towards the man and lick its wounds.
The cat seemed sad and distressed making Alex relax a bit.
Did the cat really bring him here to save its master?
Does that mean it got caught in the vines while searching for someone?
“Human language isn’t all that advanced... it only took me a few days to learn it perfectly” The being said casually while gazing at Alex in a familiar way.
A way in which only higher beings would look at lesser beings!
This is the first time he is getting looked down on by someone!
Alex was going to say something but he paused. No matter who it is he believed no one is qualified to lock down on him.
“What the hell are you and why are you here?” Alex asked a look of disdain in his eyes.
“I came to warn your race of the impending danger looming over your heads, yet your people did this to me... Do you think you have the right to act this way?” the being said calmly.
His hand opened and he revealed a piece of disk-shaped mirror equipment. It lit up and what Alex saw shocked him.
It was this being standing against the heads of the big four and the president of the United States! There was no audio but it was trying to convince them and after a while, the president had a thoughtful look on his face before sighing.
He gave an order and left the room! That’s when Wilder struck First!
To think all heads of the Big four would join hands against a person? How strong is this being?
