Chapter 710 - 710 Ragnarok
Ten total huge green crescent arcs of condensed light soon appeared from the jaws of the earth. Each and every crescent arc slashed the earth like a hot knife cutting butter.
One after the other, each arc shot from the jaws of the earth and moved a considerable distance before fading. Some landed on the wall of the mountain, some slashed the earth spike wall, and some landed on the undead bear, causing deep unrecoverable lacerations.
Because of the ten green crescent arcs, the stability of the huge earth spikes became almost zero. As the seconds passed, the hardened earth became brittle from the weight and cracked.
All it took was a single jump for Vincent to exit the intimidating jaws of the earth like a bird breaking out of its cage and becoming free.
While Vincent was up high in the sky, he looked all around him. He observed most of the Cefeyes had escaped, and only a few of them remained. They were just a short distance from the exit while they hurried.
“Hmm. It is time to do the crazy plan.” He said while descending to the ground.
*Bam* Vincent landed. As soon as he lifted his body to stand straight, he felt the ground under him tremble.
Vincent swiftly sidestepped and dodged an earth spike. He felt another was incoming. He punched the ground with great force and cracked the ground underneath him.
.....
Similar to how Awa used the power of the impact to force cancel the spell, Vincent managed to do that with swiftness and ease.
*Tsk* “I am starting to hate the ground.” He complained.
*Sigh* Vincent touched his body and said, “Please tolerate the pain you will have to experience soon. This is the only way all of us can survive.”
Vincent lowered his body. His green bulging veins shone brightly, his muscles became firm, and two large wind sigils appeared under his feet.
*THUD* Vincent jumped high up in the sky. He glared at the undead bear. Its head was fixed in place as if it had almost recovered, and its right leg was halfway healed.
Vincent gritted his teeth and extended his arms. His body began to quiver as if it was experiencing excruciating pain.
His skin started to crack, and steam escaped from his new wounds. The steam became thicker, and it started to sheen the more injuries accumulated on his body.
The air became colder, and the night sky was illuminated green. The colder the temperature became, the less heat from Vincent’s body could remain.
Vincent’s head faced the undead bear, yet he didn’t see the colossal monster. In front of his eyes was a bright notification window with a lot of words. Additionally, it kept updating and displaying new notifications.

Notification after the other appeared. The more Vincent used Ice Lance, the more the notifications repeated themselves to the point of annoying him.
Being in pain while Overload was tolerating some of his pain was enough to distract him. Thus, Vincent quickly forced the notification window to stop appearing. He needed to accomplish his plan at all costs.
The more Vincent’s body became riddled with cuts, and his body became covered in green steam, the more Vincent tried his best to tolerate the pain.
*Far away from the Dullahan ruined village*
After Awa followed the footsteps of the snow left by her people, she found them resting and looking at the sky.
Awa placed the Cefy, Plow, and Zero on the ground. She expected her people to greet her, yet they barely noticed her. What was illuminating the night sky had taken all of their attention.
Awa moved her gaze. Her eyes opened wide the moment she saw what looked like a bright green sun illuminating the night sky.
“Is that Vincent?” Awa questioned in awe.
*Pho!* “Plow wants to see. Please lift Plow up.” Plow requested curiously.
Awa lifted Plow and jumped up high. She landed on top of a tree and balanced her body.
In front of their eyes was a mysterious sight. In the sky, illuminating the darkness of the night. It was a bewitching sight.
Both Awa and Plow could not move their gaze away from the supernatural light above the colossal body of a bear standing on its two hind legs.
The more they observed, the more Awa and Plow could see what appeared tiny green stars appeared all of a sudden. These tiny lights appeared one after the other, and their number was multiplied by the second. It was like a sun bringing stars into existence.
“Vincent can bring Ragnarok!” Awa exclaimed. Her face showed signs of astonishment and amazement.
“Is Ragnarok tasty?” *Pho?* Plow asked since most of the things Vincent gave to Plow were food.
“Ragnarok means the end of the world. It means Vincent can bring enough destruction to destroy the world...”
Awa paused after realizing why Vincent could not let his secret be known. The bringer of Ragnarok was a threat to anyone marked as his enemy. Any greedy person might choose to take care of Vincent permanently if he does not submit to them.
“I need to become stronger. I need to become worthy of Vincent.” Awa murmured while looking at the mystifying view in front of her eyes.
The more Awa looked at what Vincent was capable of, the more her eyes lit with the determination to improve and become stronger.
Awa learned a lot today. She was still powerless to save her people from the tragedy her people had to suffer from. She didn’t want to face another crisis where Vincent had to gamble his life to save everyone.
‘Vincent. I promise to find you no matter the time I have to spend looking for you.’ Awa promised before jumping down.
Awa saw the Dullahans look and point at the green light illuminating the surroundings green. She also heard most of the Dullahans mention, “Ragnarok!”
‘Vincent. I hope my people will accept you in open arms after witnessing your power.’ Awa hoped.
Awa looked around and saw her mother wiping the sweat from her fainted father’s forehead. His condition wasn’t good.
Awa went to her parents. “Mother. How is father?” She asked, hoping to her he wasn’t suffering too much.
Amie gently shook her head. “I think Lamin will go to Valhalla today or in the morning of tomorrow...”
Awa fell to her knees while tears welled in her eyes. With so many things going on and so many responsibilities falling on to Awa, she began to feel emotionally exhausted.
Awa wanted to remain with her father. She wanted to lead her people. She wanted to look for Vincent as he requested. She needed to let her people stay out in the open while she took Vincent home. And lastly, she needed to request the people who knew Vincent to rescue her people from the cold as they had no shelter and little food now.
Plow became sad to see Awa give the impression she was about to cry. She snuggled her head in Awa’s chest and moved her tails to give Awa a hug.
“Thank you. ” Awa said in a low voice.
“The Cefeyes are coming to attack us!” A Dullahan exclaimed.
“Daughter... please do one thing at a time. ” Amie told Awa after having the hunch Awa knew about the Cefeye escaping from what they called Ragnarok.
“Plow. Please look out for my family.” Awa requested while placing Plow on her father’s lap.
Plow nodded. “Leave Awa Awa father to Plow.” *Pho!* She reassured Awa.
Awa stood up and rushed to the commotion.
She saw dozens upon dozens of Cefeyes. Most were injured and were being carried by others.
She also saw both sides staying on the defensive. As if when the first attack was made, a large fight between the Dullahans and the Cefeyes would start.
“Wait for a moment! Both sides have suffered enough. We are both the victims of the same enemy. We should help each other instead of harming each other.”
The Dullahans had Awa, a Dullahan they knew could kill the Cefeyes with ease, yet she desired peace instead of a fight with the possibility of casualties.
“I hope everyone can understand that we should not abuse power when those in front of us have suffered with us.”
Awa looked at her people and asked, “How did we survive? Why are we all here at this place and at this moment? Who saved us from death?”
“Clan leader.”
“Clan leader appeared and saved us all.”
“Clan leader saved our clan from ceasing to exist.”
Awa nodded. “That is right. Vincent saved us, and he saved them. They are the fellow living beings who Vincent saved.”
Awa turned around and walked away. However, the tension was still not completely gone.
*Step, step* Awa appeared with Cefy in her arms.
“Your leader is alive. She needs some time to become better.” Awa told the Cefeyes, hoping what Vincent told her would not come to fruition.
The moment Awa was about to place Cefy on the ground, bright green light forced everyone to close their eyes.
