Chapter 377
This area was intended to see check the stats. If the teacher brought them here, the possibility to reveal their stats was high. Darwin’s words to wait for the first class to finish now made sense. It was most likely to help the students form five-person teams without being lied to.
The teacher stopped in front of the Inspection Gemstone and sighed again. She looked at the students and said with an annoyed tone, “So this is how it’s going to be. You will have to reveal your stats to your classmates.”
*Sigh* “This is the best method not to receive any complaints of being lied to and request to join a different team. The teams you will later form will be permanent. Only a member not attending anymore from expulsion or death will allow the possibility to change your teams. So it is your choice to kill or expel each other to change teams.” The teacher annoyingly said.
The lustful stares of male teens were getting on her nerves. She placed her hand on the Inspection Gemstone and revealed to them her stats.
.
[Name] Maria
[Race] Human
[Age] 31
.....
[Condition] Healthy
[Traits] Mana Tempered Body Stage Four, Mana Body
[Class] Witch
[Stats] Strength 18 || Agility 12 || Perception 20 || Mana 4203
.
[Class Witch]
*Ice Wall
*Ice Shard
*Ice Lance
*Ice Coat
*Ice Manipulation
.
“Keep staring at my chest or my ass, and I will frostbite your eyes.” The teacher Maria displayed her unshakable will not to care if the students were nobles or not. She spoke so clearly without the faintest stutter or delay.
The dangerous teacher Maria might actually do it as her glare had a faint glint of bloodlust. She might have had some students harassing her and grew hate for noble students from thereon. However, the biggest mystery remains, why is she still a teacher if she acts spitefully towards her students?
*Gulp* Both male and female students became afraid after both genders kept looking at the cool voluptuous beauty ice witch Maria.
[Now, this is unexpected. Haha. Lessons in this world aren’t going to be so boring after all. Haha.]
-...-
Kazumi laughed and rolled. She has another way to tease Vincent now. ‘I will frostbite your eyes’ felt like a catchy phrase to her.
Maria walked to the side and continued, “All of you know the rules. You will have to form a team of five after we leave this little garden, take the physical with another teacher, and go to your class.” *sigh* “Afterwards, I will have to show you how to link the keys. Your servants will be able to join shortly after with the master teleportation key.”
“Now. Who wants to go first.” Maira asked.
Vincent, Lilith, and Nick were at the back because of Nick’s infamy. They could hear the classmates in front of them grunt. It appeared they didn’t want to show their stats, skills, or spells to the rest. Some wanted to keep it a secret if possible.
Vincent had no problems since his hero class was only detectable to his Inspection born from the union of both his hero and mutation classes.
However, his only worry was Lilith’s Divine Blessing trait. It was an ability Darwin and Teresa knew she had. Lilith told only her mother, as her father can’t be trusted with an important secret.
“I will go first!” A female’s voice said. The teenager walked to the front, and soon, she could be seen. It was none other than the prideful and boasting Melissa Griffionheart.
Vincent slightly shook his head and sighed. She didn’t change even after she suffered a humiliating defeat.
Melissa placed her hand on the large Inspection Gemstone, and her stats appeared on a large hologram. She smirked and glanced at Vincent for some reason. She looked prideful of her stats.
Vincent felt strange as it was nothing the be proud of. Sakura could slap her face and possibly kill her with one hit. However, Kazumi soon realized how Melissa now had two hundred twenty mana. She raised her mana by twenty-one stat points.
“No wonder Melissa is the daughter of the headmaster. She is a strong mage. ” Nick said. He looked at Vincent and continued with a smile, “Well, not as strong as my friend, though. The show was fun last time, hehe.”
“I want to be in her team. Not only Melissa is a strong mage, but she is the daughter of the headmaster.”
“She is so strong and beautiful. I hope I can be in her team.”
“My parents won’t approve, but I want to be in her team.”
The students, sons, and daughters of the two factions wanted to be on Melissa’s team.
[Look at her puffing her chest after being complimented, heh...]
-I don’t think she will join our team, so I don’t mind really.-
Shortly, the students revealed their stats one after the other.
Soon, a tall elven beauty with white hair, pitch-black eyes, and a modest chest stood before the Inspection Gemstone.
“Is she an elf? I didn’t notice her ears were pointy when we were walking.”
“An elf? She must have been kicked out then. I wonder what her class is to have joined a human academy.”
“Could she be an elf that goes against her spiritual teachings?”
The students chatted while keeping their eyes on the elf and the status hologram that should appear soon.
Vincent, Kazumi, and Lilith were interested as well. They met with her, but she didn’t give the best impression.
.
[Name] Jun Ye Rim
[Race] Elf
[Age] 18
[Condition] Healthy
[Traits] Mana Tempered Body Stage One
[Class] Soulmancer
[Stats] Strength 9 || Agility 9 || Perception 22 || Mana 330
.
[Class Soulmancer]
*Soul Servant Bond – Blemish
*Soul Servant Authority
.
Everyone was surprised to see her class. The elf named Jun Ye Rim had the taboo class the elven kind hated the most. The reason for her attendance to a human academy became unmistakably clear.
Vincent and Kazumi were interested in her class the most. The ability to control souls could help with Kazumi’s situation.
Vincent used Third Eye to see the two skill’s descriptions, but the result wasn’t good. Her skills stopped them from becoming excited.
.
[Third Eye activate.]
[Soul Servant Bond description.]
[A Soul Servant will be born from the soul of the Soulmancer. The soul born takes features of the Soulmancer’s personality or their desires.]
[The ability of the Soul Servant depends on the Soulmancer.]
.
[Third Eye activate.]
[Soul Servant Authority description.]
[The Soulmancer will be able to order and materialize their Soul Servant.]
[The control varies based on the nature of the Soul Servant. The Soulmancer’s soul needs to be strong if the Soul Servant is aggressive. Otherwise, the risk of possession becomes high.]
.
[And here I thought I had a lead on how to gain a body...]
-Do not lose heart, Kazumi. Many classes have an additional awakening. There might be a Soulmancer upgraded class that can help us.-
[Yeah...]
Kazumi felt a little better from Vincent’s supportive words. Jun Ye Rim’s skills were only for her Soul Servant and not other souls. She couldn’t help with Kazumi’s situation to materialize for everyone to see her at any time.
.....
Like those before Jun Ye Rim, she was asked to display her skill since her’s was on the magic side. Many gazes stared at the Jun Ye Rim with intrigue. It was a rare sight.
Jun Ye Rim wanted to be left alone and to stop being at the center of attention. “Blemish, appear.” She said.
A visible soul materialized after her command was heard by the Soul Servant inside her Soul Domain. A white wisp materialized and later changed shape into a small serpent about the length of one meter.
It had three distinct features that gave it a mysterious feel. It was floating with two pairs of wings, occasionally flapping to remain hovering in the air. On its forehead was a third eye, and on its head were two horns.
It gave Vincent and Kazumi, who saw the detail of the Soul Servant Bond spell, a little about the elf.
The first time Vincent saw her, he immediately guessed she had a lonesome gaze. Now he could understand why she was acting like this. Each part of the Soul Servant’s body can be interpreted differently. Freedom, intimidation, flexibility to adapt, and keen eye.
[Heh... everyone is seeing the Soul Servant. That thing and I are different. Only you can see me while everyone can see that floating snake.]
-Don’t lose hope, Kazumi. We will find a way to communicate with everyone at least.-
[Thank you.]
“So cool. A soul servant is awesome.”
“I wonder if it is at least strong.”
“Strong? I heard how they can’t fight.”
“I heard how Soulmancers are only good to scout.”
“If she can’t fight and her pet can’t, she won’t be a good teammate.”
“Yeah, I want to win a lot and hope my team can be chosen as the representative of the first years in the Grand Noble Tournament.”
The reception was more on the bad side. However, not because she was an elf that has a class taboo to her race, but because she could only be a scout.
It appeared the students wanted to form a powerful team to become the best of their year bracket out of the twenty in total teams split between Class A and Class B.
The students desired to participate in an event called the Grand Noble Tournament and make a name for themselves.
