Chapter 154
- Good morning Peter - Nadia whispered to my ear.
I was already awake but didn't move to not disturb her sleep.
- Morning.
She then climbed on top of me and kissed me. Her lips were soft. I returned the kiss, and some asshole knocked at our dors ending the fun.
- Peter, I know you are there. Wake up, and come to Hatta's office - I recognized Amit's voice.
- I'm busy, fuck off.
- As much as I would like to, I cant. So move your pale ass, and get out.
- Morning Amit! - Nadia shouted, sliding off me.
- Morning Nadia. I'm sorry.
- It's ok. He will come soon.
- He needs to come now.
She looked at me and smiled.
- Fine. I'll go. What does he even want from me this early?
She shrugged her shoulders.
- Something important.
I sighed, and got out of the bed, then dressed. I looked at her in the bed for the last time, and opened the door, to slide outside.
p
- I'll wash up first, and grab breakfast, then I'll go.
He sighed but didn't say a thing. Instead escorted me all the way to the bathhouse. I washed, dressed again, and started to head to the cafeteria, but he stopped me.
- Your food is waiting in Hatta's office.
- Fine.
We went together to Wuxia headquarters. Boris, Nobuo, Will, and Hatta were already waiting, but there was also somebody I didn't expect. Jayadeva. Sitting on the couch, behind the table, next to the guys, with a glass of water in hand.
- Morning? - I asked more than just said it, a bit confused with an unexpected guest.
- Good morning Peter-san - replied Nobuo.
- Good morning - said Jayadeva, standing up to be polite.
Boris just waved at me, the rest didn't even bother replying.
- So? What was so important that you had to practically kidnap me from my bed.
- Nadia's bed - Will corrected me, with a wide smile on his face.
- We would like to get a bit more detailed report than what you told me yesterday. Jayadeva is joining us, as he decided to join our fraction, but that's something we will be discussing later. Let's start with the hunting ground first - said Hatta.
- Where is my food?
He just pointed at his desk. There was a bowl filled with curry rice. I grabbed it and shoved the full spoon in my mouth. After swallowing I started talking:
- Behind the rats is a swamp. Big one probably, but didn't check it as the place is just terrible for hunting. There is no dry ground to set up the camp, and monsters there, lizardmen, are very well organized. They are strong, but not as orcs, although faster. They utilize tactics as fighting, to the point I doubt we could trick them to make it easy for us. To summarize, it's a big no.
As I was talking Boris pulled a piece of paper and a pencil then started taking notes.
- What about the bears you mentioned yesterday? - asked Hatta.
I didn't answer right away, too busy showing the food into my mouth. They gave me some time.
- Bears are tricky. You need to be able to hit hard. We here probably could take a stab at them, but the rest not. They need more time in the canyon. Two or three months I think.
- But you could do it, alone? - asked Amit.
- Yeah. I just need a proper weapon, because punching them... It fucking hurts. Even with my skills...
- You went full emo on them? - asked Will, with a smirk.
- No, and it's called Shadow fusion. I just used Ki. It was enough.
- We need Will at the canyon if we want to keep wiping out the camp - said Boris. - Right now Aisha is there, but she will be back.
- About that... - started Hatta. - We found a solution, probably, to the dog problem, and with Blue really keeping his word, we decided to take a bit of risk.
- Ok... Tell me about it.
- So after Aisha's return we will be sending a group to the canyon, with Will, and the rest of our strongest people. Hailwic and Martin will also go, as they proved themselves, but for you, Peter, we have a different plan.
- You have a plan for me? - I smiled as I found his words a bit ridiculous.
My ego got the better of me, I have to admit that, but I quickly put myself together.
- Yes, we do. We talked with Jayadeva, well... Amit did, and we all think they both came up with a good solution, as I mentioned before, to the dog problem. We cant share the power with our soldiers, like Blue, but we can equip them.
I looked at Jayadeva. He probably thought that I'm expecting him to speak up, so he started talking.
- At the previous meeting I mentioned my idea of letting the craftsmen get access to class points, so they could maybe find a way to create better equipment, and everybody agreed, but unfortunately, that was the end of it. Amit proposed that you might be able to change that, and I, and people working with me, would be happy to return such favor with our crafts, but this requires a bit of an investment first.
- Wait... You guys want me to get craftsmen class points? - I looked at Hatta while asking this question.
- Not only that, but we also want you to provide them with crystals, to improve their class skills - he answered.
- How the hell I'm gonna get them class points? All spots are taken, and I won't be able to kill other bosses. At least I doubt I will, and that's enough for me to not try.
- We have a plan for that. We just need your agreement.
- A plan? Well... Then let me hear it.
- Jayadeva, I believe you should be the one explaining this - said Hatta.
- Yes - he stood up, putting the glass on the table.
Then he cleared his throat and finally started speaking....
