Chapter 298 - Awakeeee!
A female servant entered the room where Sylvia's son has been lying in the coffin for many years to clean the room.
She noticed something in the coffin, the cover was already open! Who opened the cover?
Madam has been strict with the rule not to open the coffin unless it's feeding time!
She slowly walked towards the coffin and look inside.
Her eyes widened in shock because the body inside the coffin was already wide awake, his eyes were staring at her. She screamed at the top of her lungs, "THE YOUNG LORD IS AWAKEEEEEEEEE!"
She bolted towards the door and exited, running towards the exit of the basement going upstairs to inform Madam that her son is already awake!
The other servants rushed towards the room and looked at the coffin. They witnessed the phenomenon in their own eyes, the young lord was fully awake, staring at them.
"Lord Nathan is finally awake! This is incredible!" one of the servants gushes.
"Let's leave the room! Madam will arrive soon! She will get mad that we crowded the room!" said one of the servants.
They finally left the room and waited outside.
Upstairs.
The servant was running towards her mistress's room in the hallway. She stopped outside the door and knocked loudly. "Madam! Madam, please open the door! Something happened in the basement!" she said excitedly.
The door was opened by the annoyed Sylvia. "Why you are knocking so loud? What happened in the basement?" she asked.
"Madam, he finally awakened!" the servant said.
Sylvia's brows furrowed and asked, "The guy opened his eyes already?"
The servant shook her head. "No, Madam! It's Lord Nathan! Your son finally opened his eyes after a long time!"
Sylvia's eyes went saucer-like. "WHAAAAAT!? My son is awake? Are you sure?" she asked in disbelief.
"Aye, Madam! Lord Nathan is awake!" she repeated.
Sylvia's heart was bursting with happiness. "Go, find my husband and son! Inform them that Nathan is already awake!" she said.
The servant obeyed and left the room.
Sylvia can't contain her happiness, she teleported to the basement. She appeared outside the room of her son.
"Madam, Lord Nathan is finally awake!" the servants exclaimed in unison.
Sylvia entered the room and rushed towards the coffin. And there he is! Her son Nathan, very much alive! His eyes were wide open, staring at the ceiling of the room. "Son! You have finally awakened after a long time! I feel so happy right now!" she said bursting into tears.
Nathan stared at his mother's face for a long time.
Ten minutes later.
"I'm feeling thirsty, give me water, Mother," he finally spoke for the first time.
Sylvia smiled happily, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Anyone, give me a glass of water!" she said loudly.
"Aye, Madam!" one of the servants replied.
A few minutes later.
The servant arrived with the glass of water.
Sylvia holds the glass and gives it to her son.
"Mother, I can't sit. My body is weak...I can't hold the glass. I can't drink the water," Nathan said sadly. "I want to get out of his coffin, it felt so stuffy," he grumbled.
"Don't worry, son. I will send the men to get you out of the coffin and transfer you into the bed," she said and motioned the servant to get the men into the room.
Nathan smiled at his mother. "Thank you, Mother," he said.
Sylvia's tears of happiness never stop falling from her face.
"Why are you crying, Mother?" Nathan asked, confused.
"Because you've been in a coma-like condition for a long time. When you're young you suddenly died and you've been living in a coffin for a long time. We kept feeding your body virgin women's blood regularly. Your body didn't rot, instead, it kept growing through the years. But you never woke up, only now! That's why I'm feeling so happy right! Your father and your brother Corbin will come soon, they will feel happy after seeing you alive again!" she said.
The men arrived in the room.
Sylvia instructed the men. "Take my son out of the coffin and put him in the bed, be careful!" she warned them.
The servant girl went to the bed and arranged the pillow and blanket properly.
The four men slowly lifted Nathan's body and transferred him into the bed.
The transfer was completed.
Holding the glass, Sylvia went to the bed.
"Mother, I can't move my body, why? My hands were like tons of bricks," he said.
"It's because your body is not used to moving and was confined to the coffin for a long time. You need to learn how to walk again. Don't worry, everything will return normal again once your strength comes back to your body," she explained. "I'll just feed the water to your mouth using the glass, okay?"
Nathan nodded his head.
A servant comes forward and gives the spoon to her mistress.
Sylvia began feeding her son with the water using the spoon.
Nathan finished drinking the whole glass of water. "That feels good! I feel so thirsty for a long time!" he said.
"What else do you need, son? Do you need a virgin's blood?" she offered eagerly.
Nathan shook his head. "No. You've been feeding me virgin blood through the years. How about human food, I miss eating those!" he said.
Sylvia smiled. "Do you still remember your favorite human food?' she asked him.
Nathan grinned. "Fried chicken!" he gushes.
"Oh, my! You still remember!" Sylvia squealed in delight. She looked at the servant nearby. "Go to the kitchen and inform the people there to cook a delicious fried chicken right away!" she ordered.
"Aye, Madam!" the servant replied and left the room.
Nathan smiled. "Thank you, Mother," he said. He looked at the coffin. "Mother, can you please order your men to removed that coffin from my room? I would like to sleep in the bed rather than in that coffin, it feels so stuffy!" he requested.
"Sure!" Sylvia responded and looked at the two men near the door. "Removed that coffin and bring it to the storage room," she ordered.
"Aye, Madam!" the men replied in unison. They lifted the coffin and left the room.
A few minutes later.
Zalvo and Corbin rushed to the room.
Nathan looked at the newcomers.
Zalvo and Corbin wore a shocked expressions on their faces.
"My son! You finally awakened! This is amazing!" Zalvo went to the bed and gazed at his son's face tenderly, his eyes flashed with happiness and affection for him.
"Father..." Nathan said.
Corbin smiled happily at Nathan. "Brother, did you still remember me?" he asked.
Nathan smiled. "Bother Corbin... you're so grown up now!" he said.
Corbin grinned. "And so are you! Welcome back to the land of the living! Where have you been? Why did you sleep for so long?" he asked.
Nathan shook his head. "I don't know. I have been sleeping for a long time," he said and grimaced in pain. He touched his head and winced in pain.
Sylvia looked at her son worriedly. "What's wrong, son?"
"Why are you in pain, son?" Zalvo asked apprehensively.
"Can I drink some water again? I feel so thirsty and my head hurts," Nathan winced in pain again.
Sylvia looked at the servant nearby. "Bring me another glass of water!" she shouted.
The servant comes forward holding a glass of water.
Using the spoon, Sylvia began feeding the water to her son's mouth.
"Mother, maybe he's thirsty for blood. Should we feed him blood now? I'll get a bottle of blood upstairs," Corbin suggested.
"Okay, you do that, son," Zalvo replied.
Corbin left the room and went back upstairs.
Sylvia began massaging her son's forehead.
"Mother, Father... I'll sleep for a while," Nathan said.
"Go to sleep, son. Your father and I will watch over you while you were sleeping," Sylvia said.
Nathan grinned. "Wake me up when the fried chicken is done, Mother," he said.
Sylvia and Zalvo laughed, remembering that their young son before he dies, always acts like this, addicted to fried or roasted chicken. The first human food that he loves eating frequently.
Nathan closed his eyes and went to sleep.
A few minutes later.
Corbin returned to the room holding a bottle of fresh virgin blood in his right hand. He put it on the table after seeing his brother sleeping soundly on the bed. "He's sleeping again? He just wakes up!" he protested.
"Shhh...lower your voice!" Sylvia reprimanded her oldest son. "Guys, let's keep quiet, let him rest a bit," she said.
"I'll go outside and breath fresh air," Corbin said and left the room.
Zalvo also left the room to join his son outside.
Fifteen minutes later.
One of the servants entered the room carrying a platter of fried chicken. Its delicious aroma floated in the air.
"Madam, young lord's fried chicken is ready to eat!" the servant said cheerfully.
"Put it in the table and bring more drinking water here inside the room," Sylvia ordered.
"Aye, Madam!" the servant replied and put the platter on the table, then she left the room.
Sylvia looked at her son, hesitating to wake him up but the fried chicken is best eaten when it's still hot. She touched Nathan's arm gently and wake him up. "Son, your fried chicken is ready!" she whispered in his ear.
Nathan slowly opened his eyes. "Mother, w-what is it?" he inquired, blinking his eyes a few times. Then the mouth-watering aroma of fried chicken drifted into his nostrils. "The smell of my favorite fried chicken! Where is it!?" he asked excitedly.
Sylvia smiled and rose to her feet. "Let me get the chicken for you," she said and went to the table. She went back to bed and put the platter in the bed.
"Mother, I still can't move my hands! It's too heavy," Nathan grumbled.
"It's okay. I'll cut the chicken into small pieces and put them on your mouth one by one," Sylvia said. "Only one piece at a time, son, so as not to upset your stomach. You haven't eaten human food for a long time. You might get sick," she warned him.
"Okay. Just one fried chicken for the moment, Mother. Then after one hour, I'll eat another one. With a few hours interval in between. This way, my tummy won't get upset..." Nathan agreed cheekily.
"Good!" Sylvia smiled happily, very much pleased with her son's statement.
A few minutes later.
Nathan was happily eating his delicious fried chicken assisted by his mother.
