Chapter 266 - The Three Villainesses
Chapter 266 - The Three 'Villainesses'
'How dare he mock me!' Yvonne snarled and narrowed her eyes at the boy who had disrespected her.
Damien had long felt her dubious gaze thus he spoke up to prove his innocence and to taunt her at the same time.
'Don't mess with me, kid!' He smirked after receiving another nod from the Royal Tutor.
It was clear to everyone present here that the jab in Damien's words was meant for the little girl.
'She doesn't socialize with others so how will she ever learn these facts which are considered as common knowledge here?' Topher was with his friend on this matter.
The last time when he had quizzed Yvonne St. Claire and Rika Kiron to judge who was better suited for the playmate position for the Princess, the same had occurred.
The only times that this girl had failed to answer or answered incorrectly was when questions related to such matters were asked.
Topher had advised her to mingle with others to help increase her knowledge by conversing with them but it appeared that she had failed to do so.
Yvonne continued to glare at this annoying young boy who had mocked her but could do nothing further as he refused to look at her.
'Don't let me catch you alone!' She glowered a threat in her heart as she could never say those words out loud.
Calming the raging waters inside her, Yvonne took a couple of deep breaths to toss away all thoughts about the little miscreant who could only mess with her.
There was a reason why she had inquired about the present location of these ancient tablets that were discovered.
'If I remember correctly, there was a scene in the script about these tablets!' Her eyes brightened when she recalled this part of the story.
According to the script, when the female lead Hilda meets the Prince, they begin their whirlwind romance almost instantly.
Prince Fritzen would often find new places to take his lady love on a date.
One such place in the Royal Palace where no one would disturb them was the Royal Library.
Just when the Prince was about to kiss this fair maiden in one scene, there was a noise heard from one of the aisles.
Being a brave young man, Prince Fritzen had gone to check what could be the source of the noise after leaving Hilda behind to stay in the same place.
Ever the curious little cat, Hilda did not sit still where the Prince had left her.
Instead, she chose to venture to the top floor of the library and climbed up the staircase to reach it.
Seeing the shelves filled with books whose only copies were present in this room, her eyes marveled as she took in this glorious sight.
However, before she could move any further to take a look at all of the books placed here, there was a loud crash that could be heard.
Hilda ran to the source of the crashing noise only to find broken pieces of stone scattered on the ground.
Under the sounds of footsteps rushing her way, Hilda bent down to pick up the pieces on the floor.
"What have you done!?" A loud scream filled the silent library.
Coming out of her thoughts, Yvonne did not have to waste her brain cells to think about who it was.
'Prince Fritzen with Glennise Brodie arrive at the scene to find Hilda holding the broken pieces of the ancient tablet.' She scoffed at the dumb woman who had been caught red-handed when she did nothing wrong.
Considering Glennise's big mouth which Yvonne also had first-hand experience with, the news about the female lead destroying the ancient relic reached the King in no time.
With a few sobs from Glennise and Princess Felicia backing her words, Hilda was forbidden from ever entering the Palace.
But there was something that no one knew, not even the blameless victim, Hilda.
The one who had smashed the tablet was none other than Princess Felicia who sneaked away after completing her task.
The one who had distracted the Prince earlier was Glennise who created some excuse to talk to him while her accomplice did the deed in secret.
When the loud crash was heard, Fritzen rushed to check on Hilda and Glennise followed him to fulfill her remaining task.
Upon witnessing the broken tablet in the innocent Hilda's hand, Glennise created a huge ruckus to attract everyone's attention whoever was in the Palace.
Fritzen could do nothing as the evidence was right before them but he refused to believe that she had done so on purpose.
"It must've slipped out of her hands." He had pleaded with his father who refused to listen to a single word of his.
Standing there, witnessing the entire scene unfold according to her well-thought-out plan was Yvonne St. Claire of the story as she tried to comfort her friends in this stressful situation.
No one could have doubted that the intelligent and pretty Yvonne had used her wits to get someone else in trouble.
The three 'Villainesses' of the story watched as Hilda was escorted out of the Palace
Yvonne rolled her eyes at the thought of what happened next.
Just like any other story, the male lead, Fritzen, and the female lead's well-wisher, Draco help her out.
Though they could not find the culprit of this incident, they helped Hilda earn a better name for herself which forced the King to revoke his earlier orders.
Thus, allowing her to move in and out of the Palace under the supervision of the Crown Prince or Grand Duke which they were happy to oblige.
'I must say though, Yvonne from the story thought of a brilliant scheme in this instance.' She commended her wit and planning to achieve success even if it lasted only for a little while.
"Pay attention!" Marquess Samed's loud scowl brought the little girl back from her wandering thoughts.
Turning her gaze around the table, she found everyone staring at her.
"Even if my Uncle's lessons are tedious and dull, you should at least pretend that you are paying attention." A whisper was heard in her ear, making her chuckle at the strange advice.
Taylor was proud that he had managed to garner a chuckle from the cute little girl as he turned to his uncle and gave him a nod.
'Such a caring nephew I have!' Sullivan exclaimed with love overflowing from his heart.
Yvonne rolled her eyes at the clueless man and nodded as well, indicating that her attention was now on him.
"Now, I shall hand it over to the Captain to explain further." He announced and glanced at the man who sat next to him.
'Did he have to yell at me if he was going to pass the task over to Captain?' The girl sneered at her tutor who most certainly was an oddball.
Captain Desmo Reel had a similar look of annoyance with a hint of mockery on his face after hearing the Marquess' words.
However, he did not waste his time in dealing with him as he had something to explain to his pupil.
"Everybody is born with a small amount of power residing in their bodies." He expressed the first detail about his explanation.
"The moment when one can access that power, it means that he has 'Awakened' his dormant powers." Desmo revealed the phenomena that the St. Claire siblings had experienced.
