Chapter 239
When they got upstairs, Yuuma saw Miss Kim holding a bowl of water and rushing toward the bathroom. Wait, was it not Miss Kim and Rina who are in trouble? She looks absolutely fine! I think the system should have been integrated properly with the way she’s moving around freely! But who is the one in trouble then!?
Miss Kim immediately stopped once she saw Yuuma and she sighed in relief!
“Yuuma, come on. We don’t know what happened to Rin. She just fainted when they were clearing a floor! I think she’s sick but her fever isn’t going down at all! We don’t know what to do!”
Miss Kim didn’t even bat an eye at Dyana and she dragged Yuuma over to the room where Rina was sitting beside the bed Rin was lying in! There was some sort of light coming out of Rina’s hand and covering Rin and Yuuma guessed it was an ability from her system. At least they really integrated the systems properly. That was good.
But what happened to Rin. She’s sweating like crazy!
Lily was standing to one side with Yue and they both looked worried as they watched Rin lying so still on the bed. Everyone looked toward Yuuma once she entered and she quickly moved closer to see what was wrong. She touched Rin’s head and she became worried about the high fever Rin was running. How can she be this sick? Wasn’t Rin very strong? She shouldn’t be getting mortal sickness anymore!
“What are you all doing?”
The voice of Dyana broke Yuuma out of her worry and Yuuma looked back at Dyana. Dyana walked inside and she wondered why none of them already figured it out. It was so easy to see exactly what was wrong here!
“Can’t you all stop and listen for a second. Isn’t it obvious?”
Yuuma blinked in confusion before she finally calmed herself down and listened. Everyone concluded at the exact same time about the problem and their eyes widened. Two heartbeats are coming from Rin!
Dyana was the only one who wasn’t too shocked to speak, and what she said finally made the reality sink into all their heads!
“This woman is with a child!”
Lily chuckled happily. Looks like Han finally knocked up his secretary.
……..
Quinthreath was a mage who lived on floor fifty-five. He was a giant of a man with purple hair and eyes. He always wore various artifacts on his body. Rings and necklaces that he got from the system to help him boost his power. Unlike Han, this man looked like a true mage.
This entire floor was his territory and everyone else on the top floors knew that it belonged to him. Even those stronger than him respected the territorial laws. They could have easily invaded him and taken the land from him, but when you live as long as these people, you will eventually realize that things like territories weren’t important.
They decided that instead of fighting all the time and killing each other they would divide their lands among the top ten strongest in the Temple. These ten people would be the leaders of all the other weak ones and their words were basically the law.
Quinthreath knew that the new addition to the Temple did not know about these laws. Han Luo was still a mystery to everyone and nobody knew who he was. He hasn’t come out to tell anybody what he wanted, but everyone knew it was only a matter of time before he did.
Quinthreath lived in a castle in the middle of the fifty-fifth floor. The castle was humongous and it could house more than twenty thousand people! There were more than thirty thousand rooms in the castle, and it would take a normal person almost two days to go from one end to the other end.
Quinthreath was the literal king of this castle and he had ten thousand subjects, soldiers, and servants living in the castle. On the day when he was pushed out of the top ten by Han Luo, he called an immediate meeting with his ten generals. There were all high-ranking white Stars who were already close to breaking into the black Star level. Each one of them was strong enough to defeat three dragons on their own.
They spoke about what they would do now that they were in a situation like this. It was bad for them not to be in the top ten because they now lost their right to this territory. If Han Luo ever found out about the treaty they signed all those years ago then he has every right to come here and try to push them out of the land.
They decided that it would be best if they can find this Han Luo and defeat him before he gets any funny ideas. His main priority now would surely be to find some followers so they had to catch him off guard before he starts to set his sights on them.
That was three days ago and Quinthreath told all his generals to prepare for a full-scale search of all the floors below this one. No matter where Han ran, Quinthreath swore that he would find him and kill him!
Gong! Gong! Gong! Gong!
Quinthreath sat up from his chair in his bedroom when he heard a loud sound echoing through the fifty-fifth floor! He looked towards his window and he saw many people running around down there. He could clearly hear people shouting various things like
“We’re under attack!!! We’re under attack!!”
“Man your stations and grab your weapons!”
“Move to the shoreline and prepare for battle!”
What? How dare anyone attack his castle!?
Boom!
A punch from Quinthreath took out the entire wall in front of him and he floated out of the room and into the sky. He activated his magic eyes and the view on the other end of the floor became visible to him.
It was a legion of black soldiers gliding on ice! The entire ocean was freezing over and there were thousands of black knights marching on top of the ice! In front of all of them was a boy with a scythe in his hand that was riding on a dragon.
Quinthreath didn’t know why, but his guts told him that this boy wasn’t the one that was leading this charge so he looked even further and he finally saw him. Han Luo was floating in the sky above his army with his hands folded in front of him and he was looking right at Quinthreath. He mouthed something to Quinthreath and Quinthreath squeezed his fist in anger.
‘Hello, Junior’
This was what Han said and it made Quinthreath mad with anger! How dare this greenhorn think I am his junior!!
The generals were already on the ground and waiting for the army to come. There were ten of them but only six were standing with their army behind them. The other four were making sure they didn’t get attacked from the other side of the ocean.
One of the generals, a Dragonborn with blue horns on his head, took a cigar and put it between his lips. His name was Pryne and he is an archer class. His eyes could clearly see the army on the horizon and he breathed a long sigh. He hated fighting. He had no idea how he even became one of the generals in the first place. He never really bothered to become strong before. He just kept getting stronger without intending to.
The woman beside him bumped his shoulder. She had a bubbly, infectious smile as she prepared her long lance. This man was always a bummer.
“You could at least pretend you are interested in the fight. We’re going against a pretty strong mage you know”
Her name was Mappa and she was Pryne’s wife. She had cat ears on her head and a cat tail behind her. She is a spearman and the third strongest general here. She could tell that her husband didn’t like fighting but they didn’t really have a choice here. This was their home as well.
Pryne sighed before he asked his wife a question.
“When was the last time we got a report back from the guards at the portal? I don’t think they wouldn’t warn us about Han Luo coming, right?”
Mappa shrugged as she answered
“The last report was three days ago and they didn’t report anything other than some wild beast getting too close. If they didn’t report this, then they’re definitely dead”
The person standing beside Mappa was a short girl known as Gryle. She was a Dragonborn as well and her face showed just how bored she was. She had this proud air around her and she didn’t show even a hint of fear in the eye of the coming army. So what if they were in their thousands. She alone was worth a hundred men and she was not alone. They would take care of this problem easily!
