Volume 5, Chapter 2 – The Flame Princess’ Sunny Stage, Part 6
“Oh, you’re back, welcome back.”
When Hiro and the others returned to the mansion, they were greeted by Skaaha.
“Did you enjoy the banquet ― well, looking at how drunk Rosa-dono is, I guess there’s no need to ask?”
Skaaha smiled at the drunken Rosa, whose forehead was covered with sweat-like condensation.
“Did you just practice?”
When Hiro asked, Skaaha turned her face away to hide her embarrassment and nodded.
“I’ve been practicing for a while. When I’m moving my body, I don’t have to think about anything else.”
There were the other guys in the mansion ― Ghada and the others, but they were still not close enough to greet each other. The fact that Liz and the others were gone and she was alone probably gave her time to think about things. In the midst of all this, being in an imperial palace with an enemy who she has a grudge against may have made it difficult for her to be at peace.
Therefore, Hiro couldn’t help but think that she was throwing her unnecessary thoughts out of her mind by moving her body ― no, it seems that there was another person with the same problem.
“Skaaha!”
“Oh!”
Skaaha hurriedly held Liz as she jumped into the air.
“W-what’s the matter all of a sudden, Liz-dono?”
“…..I’m sorry.”
A thin, small voice. But the trembling sound of her voice penetrated deeply into the ears.
“…I couldn’t keep my promise.”
As if she had guessed by that word, Skaaha, who had been rolling her eyes, smiled kindly for a change.
“As I said to you that day… that feeling is enough for me.”
That day is probably referring to the incident where Liz was taken prisoner in Felzen. Hiro had been told fragments of what had happened between them, but he did not know the details.
However, it is clear from the outside that the bond between them was strengthened because of that event.
“No, you can’t. I’ll definitely keep my promise.”
Liz shook her head in disapproval.
“I thought I told you that I wanted you to remain who you are.”
Skaaha’s gentle pat on Liz’s back was full of compassion.
“You should prioritize your own goals. You don’t have to worry about someone like me. You don’t have to worry, okay?”
“Still, I will make it happen!”
“Fufu, I see. Then I’ll be waiting for you.”
Skaaha smiled slightly as if she had lost her patience with Liz, who never bent her beliefs.
A solid bond that ties the two together. It’s dazzlingly brilliant. Just looking at the two of them caring for each other fills the heart with happiness.
“Oh… Liz is cheated on me.”
Even though it was a beautiful scene, strange words shook the eardrums. The owner of the voice was next to Hiro ― the drunken Rosa.
“What are you talking about?”
“No, no, I’m just sad to see my little sister leave me. It makes me sad to think that you are all I have left.”
“Therefore, please don’t use strange words…”
“It’s the ramblings of a drunken freak. Don’t worry about it. Let’s just strengthen our bond, shall we?”
And then, the drunken Rosa leaned on Hiro.
“Wait, it’s hea ― Aah…”
Hiro unintentionally said and was in a panic.
“Did you just say that I’m heavy?”
A fighting spirit rose from Rosa’s body.
“No, it was a figure of speech… or something like that…”
It wasn’t heavy at all. With the blessings of the five emperors of the spirit sword, it can be said that the weight is light now — it just something that comes out of the mouth naturally in terms of the convention.
“Haha, do you want to try suffocating to death by my chest?”
But now that he had said the forbidden words, it seemed that he would not be able to stay safe.
“It’s bad.”
Aura said in exasperation after hearing the exchange between Hiro and Rosa.
“Do you need help getting her to her room?”
Skaaha, who could not bear to see Hiro struggling with Rosa, approached him.
“That’s unnecessary!”
Rosa strongly refused. The resentment of having her sister captured is considerable. Hiro sighed deeply and looked at Skaaha.
“I’ll take this drunkard with me. Isn’t Skaaha going to take a bath?”
The reason why Skaaha was near the entrance was probably because she had finished her training and was on her way to the bath. She happened to run into Hiro and the others who had just returned from the banquet.
Hiro just guessed it, but he wasn’t wrong, and Skaaha nodded.
“You’re absolutely correct. Indeed I do.”
“Then you should go. Liz and Aura, too.”
Hiro looked at Skaaha meaningfully and suggested. It was only a momentary gesture, but Skaaha seemed to understand and nodded her head deeply.
“I understand. Liz-dono, Aura-dono, shall we enter together?”
Skaaha put her arm around Liz and Aura’s shoulders and pulled them close.
“Eh, wait! What happened to you suddenly, Skaaha?”
“Mmm…!?”
The two who were forced to walk rolled their eyes in surprise.
“No, it was quite a while ago that I had the bath heated. If we don’t hurry, the water will get cold. And it’s better for the three of us to take a bath together, so the water doesn’t go to waste.”
After watching their backs as they hurriedly walked down the hallway, Hiro lent Rosa his shoulder and began to walk.
The room that was assigned to Hiro was located in the middle of the second floor. In the room, there is a bed, a desk, and a separate chair, and on the wall, there is a flag with the Kelheit family’s crest on it, as well as the flag of the black dragon that Hiro raises.
Rather than an assigned room, it would be more accurate to say that it had been prepared in advance.
When Hiro came back to the room, he said,
“That’s enough.”
Hiro returned to the room and called out to Rosa, the woman who was acting drunk next to him.
