Chapter 129 Entering The Crimson Gate
Sitting inside a luxurious restaurant, two individuals could be seen before a large table filled with piles of empty plates.
"Sweet Jesus... Is that guy has a bottomless stomach or what?"
"I-I have no idea... How many plates did he eat so far? 50? 60?"
"Perhaps it was 70."
"Damn... Just how is he not exploding after eating all that food?"
People around the two murmured with both awe and shock, their eyes fixed on the figure of Raven who even at this moment stuffed a whole pork chop into his mouth only to throw the bone to the side.
"You... Are you sure you will be okay?" Luna, who sat beside Raven looked at her brother with utter disbelief, hardly believing that the one next to her was really Raven.
Hell, she even believed a gluttonous ghost possessed him hence why he was eating so much!
Placing the bone from his hand onto an empty plate, Raven grabbed the handkerchief from the side and cleaned his mouth.
"Phew... Damn! The food here is truly heavenly! I'm fully satisfied!" letting out a soft sigh, Raven leaned back into his chair and closed his eyes.
Although it was true he was not starving or getting thirsty within that eternal darkness, the same couldn't be said once he was freed.
'Hell, I have really thought I will die in starvation...' Raven thought to himself as he recalled how his stomach began to hurt right after he received his Avatar ID.
Damn, if it weren't for Master Ansell who had great authority and influence, he would have simply ignored everyone else and ran here right away!
'But almost 70 plates of food? Even I am surprised.' Raven placed a hand on his stomach, wondering just where all the food he ate had gone.
After sitting still for a few minutes, enjoying the refreshing feeling throughout his body, Raven slowly opened his eyes and glanced at the young man standing beside their table.
"I would like to pay."
The young waiter upon hearing Raven's voice snapped out of his daze and after swallowing nervously he nodded and quickly ran away before a few seconds later appeared with a bill in hand.
"Here you go. Also, tell your chef he knows what he is doing. His food was wonderful." after using his credit card to pay for the food while also leaving behind a large amount of tip, Raven stood up and walked out of the building with Luna following him closely behind.
"I'm actually impressed. After eating all that and you still can walk around as if you have done and are nothing... I wonder if one of your Avatar Imprints increases your appetite?" Luna muttered under her breath.
However, soon her eyes flashed, and even before Raven could have reacted she grabbed his hand and pulled him back.
Whoosh!
[Your Luck Energy had been boosted by 5%!]
'...'
Watching as a vehicle zoomed by the spot where he stood just a second ago, Raven swallowed nervously and looked at Luna.
"Thank you... You saved me there." Raven showed a wry smile as cold sweat rolled down his forehead.
"Your welcome, but next time please be more careful. You have almost crossed the road despite the lamp being red." Luna said softly as she pointed down at the ground.
Raven followed her finger and noticed that now the lamps for crosswalks were not on poles but instead on the ground.
"I see... I will try to get used to it." Raven sighed, however, his eyes suddenly noticed something on the ground.
"Hm? What's that?" raising a brow Raven picked up a shiny silver card from the ground, quickly attracting Luna's attention.
"A credit card?" Raven asked as he turned the card around, however, he found no name on it not any number.
The only thing on it was a small gold star in its middle.
"It's..." Luna showed a soft frown before her eyes widened and said, "That is a Luminary Card. With that, you can get into the VIP section within the Star Treasury with no problem and you even get a 2% discount for every bet you won during an auction!"
"Huh? Then doesn't that mean someone is searching for it? We should go and find its owner or at least hand it to someone within the Star Treasury." Raven said quickly.
"The last thing I want right now is to get into trouble."
"Yeah, you can do that. However..." Luna nodded before a sly smile appeared on her face, making Raven feel something ominous.
'I don't like that smile.'
"Luminary Cards are given as gifts to people and they don't really belong to anyone which means..."
"It is actually no one's and whoever holds it has the right to use it," Raven muttered to which Luna nodded like a little fox.
"In fact, dad has one too. However, as he fears losing it he never hands it to anyone except for Thomas."
"Not even you?"
"No. However, with a Luminary Card, one is allowed to bring a single individual along with them when there is an auction, so whenever Thomas goes I usually go with him." Luna said calmly.
"Is that so?" Raven hummed before he asked, "Auctions are every two weeks, right? When will be the next one held?"
"Well, actually, now auctions are held every week, so the next one will be on Sunday evening."
"So in four days, huh?"
"Why? Do you want to go?" Luna asked curiously.
Raven glanced at his little sister and for some reason, he felt as of he could guess her current thoughts.
"I have never been on an auction before, so I am a bit curious."
"So is that a yes?" Luna asked with a little too much enthusiasm.
"Yeah, I guess. Do you want to co-"
"Yes!"
Feeling a little surprised even though he expected that answer Raven nodded before he put the card away into his Void Ring.
"It is settled then."
"Yep!" Luna's smile grew wider as her joy increased several levels, and just as the red light on the crosswalk turned green she clung to Raven's hand tightly.

After getting back from Nova City Raven decided to take a rest, which he did and literally slept through the whole day until it was morning the next day.
"Let's take a bath first before I go and eat," Raven mumbled after a big yawn and went into his bathroom and took a quick shower.
However, his shower was not peaceful at all as not only did the showerhead fall on his head during he washed his hair but he also slipped and fall on his way out.
'Argh... What a way to wake up...' Raven groaned with pain as he watched how his Luck Energy got increased by 20%, increasing it almost up to 60%.
'I wonder if 100% is the maximum amount of Luck Energy I can possess or if there is any limit to it.' Raven thought in his heart as dressed up and walked out of his room.
However, just a second after he stepped outside he was immediately welcomed by Luna, who jumped at him from the side and clung to his body with both hands and legs like a koala.
"Good morning~!" showing a happy smile Luna kissed Raven on the cheeks and jumped down.
"...Good morning." Raven was dumbfounded but seeing as his little sister began to giggle and ran down the stairs like a little kid he couldn't help but smile too and shook his head helplessly.
Although Luna sometimes was a little too clingy and hyperactive when with him, he has missed her.
'No, not only her but everything else too.' Raven thought to himself as he walked after Luna.
After eating his breakfast Raven and Luna went back to Nova City and waited inside the Realm Association as Master Ansell told them.
There, they had to wait for half an hour before they finally watched as the rest of the group finally arrived.
Dax, Arthur, Canwin, Felix, Helena, and Min Chen. All six of them attracted the attention of everyone, but as they were already used to it they just ignored it.
"Ready?" once Master Ansell was present he looked at the right of them, who only nodded to his question.
"Good. Then follow me."
And just like that, the eight of them climbed into a large vehicle which after close to 4 hours of travel brought them to the edge of a large desert.
"So that is what a Crimson Gate looks like?" Raven muttered as even from several miles away he could easily see the massive crimson gate with the 6 golden rings carved onto its surface.
"Just looking at it I feel like I have become an ant," Arthur exclaimed after swallowing nervously.
Once the vehicle halted the eight climbed out of it and stood before the Crimson Gate.
"When will we enter?" after starting at the humungous thing for several minutes in silence, Raven decided to ask.
"Now," Canwin stated with a serious face and placed his hand onto the gate's surface before his body vanished.
The rest quickly followed after him, even Luna too, making Raven take a deep breath and nod.
"Here we go then, I guess..." Raven mumbled and placed his palm onto the cold surface of the gate, only to vanish the next second.
As for Master Ansell, he just stood calmly next to the vehicle, his hand holding a small watch.
"Good luck, kids. I wish for the best."
