Chapter 202 Celebration
Ace glared at Dimitri, gritting his jaws furiously. His gaze darkened in anger.
“Dimitri, it’s a no. I have told you before, I couldn’t do it. It was too dangerous. Why are you still in touch with them? I told you to stop seeing them.” There was a clear tone of disappointment in the words that came out of Ace’s mouth. However, Ace remained calm, and he did not scold Dimitri at all.
“I didn’t see them, but they did come to me many times. Come on, Ace, by allying with them, we will become invincible players in the Last Shelter Online. NightFall isn’t even anything.”
Even though Dimitri admitted that he didn’t meet them, the tone of his voice made Ace arched an eyebrow when he looked at Dimitri. He was suspicious because his friend actually seemed pushy.
“I beg you, you can still consider it one more time,” he added, still not giving up.
Ace took a deep breath and shook his head firmly.
“No means no, Dimitri. Run away if they come at you again. I’m afraid you’ll be killed at their hands. You don’t even know who they are!” This time, Ace sounded like a good friend, not like a guild leader.
Dimitri clenched his fists tightly. His jaws hardened. He looked like he was going to lash out his anger, but the man tried his best to calm himself down. Meanwhile, Ace remained calm while looking at him..
“They are WynterRain fans! They are the same as me! We are very solid and they will never betray us. With WynterRain’s help as our ally, an ordinary class player like NightFall is nothing!” Dimitri growled, hot steam rising through his nostrils.
Ace closed his eyes. He was silent for a few seconds, trying not to be provoked by Dimitri’s increasingly forcing words.
“Don’t you know that WynterRain and NightFall are brothers? Did you just say that we’re going to use WynterRain to beat his own little brother? Do you think that could happen?”
Dimitri didn’t answer.
“Stop talking nonsense. If you really want to beat NightFall, you have to work hard and make yourself much stronger. If I were WynterRain, I’d probably prefer to kill you over my own brother. Even though you are my ally,” Ace explained while massaging his dizzy head again.
He then walked past Dimitri and back into the room, leaving his aggrieved friend alone.
“Shit! Shit! Shit! What should I do now!?” Dimitri slammed his bare fist against a nearby wall after Ace entered the room. He looked restless again. He even started biting his fingernails like a frightened person.
“If I still can’t convince Ace by this weekend, I’m dead.”
…
Finally, the second match was announced. And that night, according to what BigShow shouted when he lifted his beer bottle a few minutes ago, Everlasting really came out as the winner for the second and third matches against the guild from the Asia Pacific server.
Everlasting celebrated by holding a massive victory party again. This time, they didn’t limit the number of bottles of beer they could drink until they got drunk and lost consciousness.
Meanwhile, Hiro, who was still not used to consuming alcohol, decided to focus on reading the translation that Noah had given him.
He wanted to get The Forbidden One set of costume armor hidden somewhere in the game right away.
“It looks like some of the quests can’t be done alone. Let me know if you need help,” said Noah, who was sitting near Hiro while fiddling with the empty beer bottle in his hand.
“Without you asking, I will force you to help me.” Hiro’s reply made Noah laugh reflexively.
In the bar, Jacob seemed busy drinking with the other Everlasting members.
Meanwhile, Cara, who was already half drunk, walked like a cat woman to Hiro. She suddenly stroked Hiro’s thighs with a wistful look on her blushing face.
“NightFall, you are so strong.” Her words were interspersed with hiccups. The girl staggered and tripped over the heels of her own boots, and Hiro caught her before falling to the floor.
“And you’re very drunk. I’ll take you inside,” Hiro muttered as he stood up while lifting Cara’s body, which felt very light in his arms.
Hiro brought Cara into the girl’s room in the guild base. The room wasn’t locked. When Hiro walked in, the room had a feminine scent of a woman that made Hiro feel like he had entered the wrong room.
“Get some rest, Cara. You’ve worked hard tonight.” Hiro muttered as he lowered Cara on her warm bed.
The girl still opened her eyes and looked at Hiro. He didn’t know what Cara whispered to him. Cara suddenly wrapped her arms around Hiro’s neck and pulled Hiro’s body closer. It was so close that Hiro could smell the strong alcohol scent from the girl’s breath.
“What are you doing, Cara? Are you seducing me now?” Hiro chuckled. He was eager to record what had just happened and show it to the girl when she came back to her senses later.
“Hmmm Hiro, I really feel sorry for you. You really are unlucky to be born in this world,” Cara muttered, rambling more and more words that didn’t fit her character. Yet, the girl hugged Hiro tightly while patting Hiro’s back many times, as if she was being possessed by another side hidden inside her all this time. Another side of Cara who really cared about other people. This side of Cara was very gentle, like how a girl should be.
“Thank you, Cara. But it looks like you should rest now.” Hiro said, not evading Cara’s statement. He even let Cara hug him. Hiro actually enjoyed the attention given by the girl. It was a very rare moment.
Cara pulled her body away, but the girl suddenly acted up once again. She pressed her lips to Hiro’s for a second, then smiled broadly.
Holy shit! What the hell was that? Hiro reflexively let go of Cara’s body, who was leaning on him before. He touched his lips, which had just gotten a kiss from the drunkard girl in front of him.
“I’m half French, Hiro. And that’s how we say good night!”
Cara fell on the bed with her eyes closed. Now, she had completely lost consciousness.
Hiro immediately shook his head, which had been thinking nonsense. He pulled the blanket to Cara’s chest so the girl would feel warm.
He rushed out of the girl’s room right away before his mind wandered further when he saw the girl’s sexy body looking helpless lying on the bed.
“That was scary, but … will she remember that?”
Hiro leaned against Cara’s bedroom door. And a short girl looked at him questioningly. It was Wheelie.
“What are you doing here, Nightfall?”
“Uhmm… Cara was drunk, so I have to move her to the room,” Hiro explained calmly. He had gotten back his usual self.
“Is that true? Strange, I don’t think she drank too much tonight.” Wheelie looked doubtfully at Hiro’s answer.
“You can check her for yourself, Wheelie. I have to finish reading a book before going to bed. Good night.”
Hiro walked past Wheelie while taking out a book from under his cloak. He went back to the bar to read it there.
