Chapter 161 - Continue This Struggle Till The Day We Die I
Huo Yunting thought she went to take a shower, but in fact she continued to pack her bags...
Bang!
He flipped the luggage bag, spilling its contents all over the floor. Lu Zhaoyang looked so pitiful right then.
She looked up at him and did not say a word. She stooped down to pick up the luggage bag.
Her hand was just about to touch the handle when Huo Yunting kicked the bag even further away.
“Are you crazy? I said I want a divorce! A divorce!” Lu Zhaoyang stared daggers at him. Her entire body was shaking.
“So what if that’s what you want? Don’t try to escape anymore, it’s useless.”
Huo Yunting towered over her like a monument, blocking her view.
Lu Zhaoyang’s crouching figure was completely hidden under his shadow.
She picked up the clothes on the floor, stood up, and threw the clothes at him!
She exploded in anger. She even tried to throw the luggage bag at him.
However, her energy was already depleted.
“Ah...”
Lu Zhaoyang hit her arm on the bag, leaving a bruise on her fair skin. The luggage bag was too heavy, and it made her stumble toward the side and hit her head on the dressing table.
Her consciousness was receding. Her eyes eventually shut.
She really wanted to just lay there and never wake up again...
Huo Yunting caught her by the waist before she fell onto the floor. He carried her to the bed and tucked her in with a blanket.
He sat by the bed and studied her quiet figure, with a frown on her face. His own expression was unreadable.
Her face looked blushed, and he could not help but reach out to touch her.
The heat he felt at his fingertips surprised him.
Huo Yunting pressed his palm against her forehead.
It was burning hot.
He quickly went to get his phone, and noticed the mess on the floor. His eyes narrowed.
Since Huo Li was prone to blabber, he contacted another trustworthy doctor. Then, he got an ice pack and returned to bed to put it on her forehead.
The doctor arrived promptly, and immediately noticed the clothes strewn all over the floor.
He ignored them with utter discretion and went to see the patient.
Lu Zhaoyang had a fever, at 39 degrees. She needed an IV immediately.
The doctor took out the IV bag he prepared earlier, but where could he possibly hang it?
He wondered what his options were.
“What are you waiting for? Give it to me!”
Huo Yunting understood his concern. He stood up and snatched the bag away from him.
The doctor was astonished by his reaction.
Since when had Mr Huo ever treated a lady so well? This... This was a miracle!
He assembled the IV quickly and left without the room a word, leaving the man holding an IV bag and standing beside the bed.
The room became quiet. Lu Zhaoyang laid on bed, sleeping. Her long eyelashes were as delicate as a dragonfly’s wings. Her eyes moved occasionally underneath her eyelids.
Was she dreaming?
What was she seeing?
A divorce with him?
The thought made Huo Yunting heave a quiet sigh.
Don’t even think about it, Lu Zhaoyang.
Let us continue this struggle till the day we die.
He stood there without moving, not because there was nothing else to hold the IV bag, but because it gave him a reason to stay in the room.
The doctor came in twice more to switch the medication, and noticed that Huo Yunting did not move an inch.
