Chapter 588 - A King And A Bunch Of Losers - 2
Chapter 588: A King And A Bunch Of Losers – 2
Fu Zhi did not know what she should say.
“When you go out, don’t tell others that I taught you, I can’t afford to lose that face. Say that He Ming taught you two, alright?”
Song Fang and Wang Yu did not know what to say.
‘If you guys pay attention in my class, there’s no way you can’t answer the question. Or could it be that you guys have taken the memory loss pills, and you have forgotten everything that I said? I don’t want to criticize you two in the class because I don’t want to waste other students’ time. If I spend one minute criticizing both of you, I’ll be wasting one minute each of the other 33 students in the class, and 33 minutes is about the time for one lesson.”
“Pfft! What kind of excuse is that?”
The rest of the students broke into a great fit of laughter.
“Don’t you feel she sounds like Lao Fan?”
“I still remember his classic quote: Class monitor, go and switch off the light. People like you guys don’t deserve to waste the country’s resources!”
“And this one: Do you guys think I don’t know what you guys are talking about behind me?”
“So are we the lousiest bunch of students Sister Zhi has ever taught?”
Fu Zhi threw a glance at them, and they all fell silent.
After she had collected all of their answers, she then began to explain the question on the blackboard. Towards the end of her explanation, she said, “Song Fang and Wang Yu are going to copy the answer for this question 100 times. In case you guys didn’t get it just now, I’ll make myself clear again. The school is not going to pay me for this. It’s up to you whether you want to pay attention in my lesson or not, I don’t care. Just don’t come and cry in front of me when you can’t do well in your later life.”
Fu Zhi continued her lesson for several minutes straight before splitting them into several small groups. They were going to discuss amongst themselves, and they would only come to her if they could not solve a certain question.
She sat on the chair and she felt extremely thirsty after finishing the lesson.
In the meantime, Director Liu approached her with a bottle of water in his hand. “Drink some water, FU Zhi. How do you feel about these students? Do you think they can perform well in the exams?”
Fu Zhi took a sip from the water and glanced at Director Liu. “Of course, they are going to score well in the upcoming exams, but the main point of me having a tutorial session with them is to prepare them for the college entrance examination. If they can’t do well on that exam, they’ll be ruined for the rest of their life.”
Director Liu scratched his head and replied, “Alright, then. Please take care of them. I know they’re good students. It’s just that they’re too lazy and they need someone to push them. I hope you can tell them that the school will never give up on them if they really try their best, and we want them to perform well in their exams as well.”
Fu Zhi looked at the four groups. All of them were working on the questions, and some of them were asking their group leaders about the things that they did not understand.
She let out a chuckle and took out two documents for Director Liu, “This is a summary compiled by He Ming. Distribute to the rest of the students in the school. I think it’ll be very helpful in the upcoming examination.”
Director Liu’s eyes lit up. He took over the documents and went away with Ma Mingquan.
The schooling session for No.1 High School ended at 6:30 pm. Therefore, the students in Class 21 had to inform their parents about the tutorial session.
If they were students from Class 1 or Class 2, their parents might not let them attend the tutorial session as they were worried that it would be too tiring, but the situation was different when it came to the parents of the students in Class 21. Right now, all of them just wanted to bring them to the hospital and check if there was something wrong with their kids or not.
“Fu Zhi, I… I need to tell you something,” Zhou Zihuai said as he walked up to Fu Zhi.
“Yes? Go ahead,” Fu Zhi nodded.
She had no idea why but she had a feeling that Zhou Zihuai was afraid of her.
‘I’m not a monster, why does he look like he’s so afraid of talking to me?’
“I…” Zhou Zihuai stammered, “I might not be able to attend all of the tutorial sessions. I can attend on Saturday and Sunday, but not the other days. Also, since the school didn’t issue the relevant instructions, if possible, can you… can you help me to talk to my mother?”
“Ah? Sure, that’s not a problem,” Fu Zhi replied readily.
It was just that the apprehension on Zhou Zihuai’s face did not go away. He pressed his lips thin and said, “She’s outside right now. Can you come with me to see her now? You don’t have to tell her much, just let her know that we’re having a tutorial session.”
“Sure.”
Fu Zhi packed up her stuff and exited the classroom with Zhou Zihuai.
The security room was not far away from Class 21, and Fu Zhi could see a woman inside the security room from afar.
The woman was wearing a yellow down jacket. Her hair was long, and she looked like a gentle woman to her.
When they opened the door, the woman turned her head. When she saw her son and Fu Zhi, the smile on her face froze. In the next second, she pulled Zhou Zihuai away from Fu Zhi and measured her warily.
Zhou Zihuai did not expect his mother to have such a big reaction. Just when he was about to say something, his mother shouted, “Did I not tell you that you have to focus on your studies and to stay away from other girls?”
“No, mom. Didn’t you see my text message? She’s…”
Zhou Zihuai tried to explain to his mother, but his mother did not give him the chance to do it.
“Don’t interrupt me when I’m speaking,” the woman interrupted forcefully as her expression turned ugly, “Zihuai, you’re now in your senior year. It’s not that I want to interfere in your life, but you have to know what you should do and what you shouldn’t do. I don’t like you to mingle with some nondescript girls. If you don’t listen to me, I’m going to—”
“Mom!” Zhou Zihuai shouted, cutting his mother short, “She’s Fu Zhi. She’s one of the best students in No.1 High School, and she also transferred from Class 1 to Class 21. We would only discuss our homework together!”
Fu Zhi was now standing outside of the security room. She was pretty surprised to see that Zhou Zihuai’s mother would have such a sharp gaze that did not go very well with her gentle appearance. She scratched her nose and greeted her, “Nice to meet you, madam.”
Zhou Zihuai’s mother did not say anything in return. She ignored Fu Zhi and took a look at her watch. Then, she asked, “If she’s from Class 1, then why have I never heard of her before?”
Zhou Zihuai’s mother was a traditional housewife, and she rarely paid attention to various things on the Internet. Besides, she did not attend the last parent meeting, so she did not know about Fu Zhi as well.
Fu Zhi said, “I was transferred from another school in the countryside not long ago.”
‘Countryside?’
Zhou Zihuai’s mother’s expression changed.
“Mom, Fu Zhi’s really a good student. Do you still remember the International Physics Competition? She’s our leader.”
The guard also chimed in, “That’s right, Mrs. Zhou. Fu Zhi is the best student in our school, and every teacher adores her very much. Hold on a second. I think I have their results somewhere around here. Let me get it for you.”
Although Zhou Zihuai’s mother was still skeptical about it, the tense expression on her face relaxed a little bit. “Really? Well, it’s good to see a girl that’s so outstanding.”
