Chapter 87: Buddy, Go Back and Ask Your Dad
“Rollin, you fatty! You’ve finally straightened out your mind!” After a moment of being stunned, Qian Jin walked into the room with a big smile on his face as he held the Zhanmadao that was covered with a cotton cloth. He leaned the Zhanmadao vertically against the wall and then sat on his bed carelessly to observe this pretty girl more carefully. He said, “That’s right! Like I said earlier, a girl like Julius doesn’t fit you. This girl is much better! She is a hundred times prettier than Julius, and you can’t say anything bad about her temperament! If a girl like Julius was standing in front of her, it would be like comparing a toad to a beautiful swan!”
“Oh?” Rollin squinted his small eyes. He looked at the girl who blushed and lowered her head as Qian Jin complimented her. Then, he moved his eyes back to Qian Jin’s face. “Buddy, do you really think she is that perfect?”
“Of course!” Qian Jin slapped his bed. “She really is perfect! There is no way for her to be more perfect! Look at her appearance... look at her temperament. Let me tell you, if you weren’t my buddy, I would fight you just to get to her...”
The girl lowered her head so much that it was about to touch her fully-grown chest. Her white face was also turning hot red due to her bashfulness. The redness on her face even extended to her ears.
“Really?” Rollin’s face told Qian Jin that he couldn’t believe it.
Qian Jin was afraid that Rollin couldn’t tell which girl was better and go back to chasing Julius, so he nodded earnestly as he said, “Really! I can’t express how serious I am anymore!”
“That’s great!” Rollin grabbed onto the girl’s hand despite the fact that the girl was trying to dodge his hand. Rollin also grabbed onto Qian Jin’s hand and placed the two hands together forcefully. “Sister-in-law! Since you are this satisfied after seeing my little sister, then I must ask you to take really good care of her!” he said as he saw the confused expression on Qian Jin’s face.
“What did you say?” Qian Jin suddenly jumped out his bed. The shocked expression on his face was more than a hundred times more serious than all the shocked expressions that he had caused today. He stared at Rollin as he said, “Buddy! Don’t joke with me! She is your little sister?”
Rollin raised his chin as he laughed proudly, “The most important trait for a merchant is his or her integrity! She is my little sister Rosella.”
The girl named Rosella sat there and lightly nodded her head bashfully. She peeked at Qian Jin with the corner of her eyes, but she didn’t say anything.
“Impossible!” Qian Jin shook his head repeatedly. “You are so ugly! How can you have such a pretty little sister? Come on buddy, tell me the truth. Do you guys have the same father, but different mothers? Could it be that she is adopted?”
“Bullsh*t!” Rollin was so agitated that some of his spit got onto Qian Jin’s face. “She is my biological sister,” he said.
“How is that possible...” Qian Jin continued shaking his head as he couldn’t believe that he was seeing. “She is so pretty, yet you are so ugly...”
“Buddy, I will tell you this one last time.” Rollin stared at Qian Jin seriously, “Among all fat guys, I’m considered handsome.”
“Qian Jin...” Rosella finally raised her head, but she was still very shy. She said timidly, “Rollin is my biological brother...” She didn’t even dare to look at Qian Jin in his eyes.
Rosella’s voice was very pleasant to hear; it was soft, yet crisp. It was very different from Gabriella’s timid voice.
Qian Jin stared at the two of them desperately. “You have to find a way to get your father drunk next time. Maybe you guys will hear shocking news, such as you guys not being real brothers and sisters...”
Giggle... Rosella lightly laughed. She said, “Qian Jin, you haven’t changed...”
“Changed?” Qian Jin looked at Rosella with surprise. “Have we met before?”
“What do you think?! Sister, I told you that Qian Jin couldn’t remember you... That’s okay. After he marries you...”
“Brother!”
Rollin quickly coughed as Rosella threw a little tantrum. “Buddy, do you still remember the time when you just arrived at Oakland? Do you remember when you kicked a few hooligans’ butts for bullying a little girl?” he asked Qian Jin.
“Of course I remember... Ah?” Qian Jin opened his eyes widely as he stared at Rosella. “The girl that I saved was you.”
“Eh...” Rosella nodded bashfully again.
“After that, my little sister had... towards you...”
“Brother!” Rosella dragged Rollin’s sleeve as she said, “Walk me home. It’s getting late. If I don’t go back now, father will be upset...”
“Oh...” Before Rollin was dragged out of the room by Rosella, he didn’t forget to turn his head around and tell Qian Jin, “Brother-in-law, when are you free, please come to my family to propose a marriage...”
“Brother!”
“Hey... My little sister is being bashful again... Brother-in-law, don’t forget, you must remember...”
Rollin’s voice gradually quieted down in the hall outside of the room.
Qian Jin smiled bitterly as he shook his head and got up on his bed. “This is too coincidental. I beat those hooligans because I was in a bad mood. I never would have thought that I had saved Rollin’s little sister. What is more puzzling is that Rollin actually has such a pretty sister. They could never make others believe that they are real biological siblings.
The room had once again become quiet. Qian Jin got up on his bed and crossed his legs. He started his long-standing habit – Meditation.
“Phew...”
It was another long and exhausting night. Qian Jin stretched his body that had bathed in the anti-fatigue hot spring in the Endless World, and he felt unbelievably good.
He turned his head and looked at Rollin’s bed. Rollin went to walk his little sister home, so it was obvious that he wouldn’t return anytime soon. Qian Jin carefully wrapped the hat with his bed sheet and put it on his back. He also left a note on the bedside table for Rollin. It read, “Buddy, I’m going on complete my test in the next few days. Prepare some good food and wait for me to come back and celebrate my successful journey.”
While walking under the sky that had not become dawn yet, Qian Jin looked up at those gem-like stars in the sky.
“He... Hello...”
A huge black mage hat, a loose and fat black mage robe, a timid voice, that close to ninety-degree bow, and the bag that could be considered big.... all these were characteristics of Gabriella, who was going to take the test with him.
Qian Jin looked at the bag that was about one-fourth of the height of Gabriella and asked curiously, “Good morning. Don’t you feel heavy with all these things on you?”
“...”
Gabriella didn’t say anything, but she nodded. Her big black mage hat also shook up and down as she nodded.
After waiting a while, Caeller dragged his fat body onto the open field and wanted to do a sudden check up just like Rodriguez had predicted.
His face clearly stiffened after he saw both Qian Jin and Gabriella there.
Except for surprise, Qian Jin could see a sense of defeat in this Managing Director’s eyes; Caeller’s trap didn’t work after all.
“Here!” Caeller took out a piece of black craft paper and handed it over to Qian Jin. “This is your map. The mission for your test is simple. First, collect a sample from each of the identified points. Second, student from the Warrior Branch have to take a strand of hair from the Golden Haired Monkey King’s forehead...” he said.
“Golden Haired Monkey King?” Qian Jin had a question he really wanted to ask Caeller. “Why don’t you go and kill yourself already? How could a Grade One Warrior Student get a strand of hair from a Golden Haired Monkey King’s forehead? When I come back from the test, I will make sure to break into your house and give you a good beating at night. I will let you know that young people are impulsive! Don’t mess around with young people easily!”
Golden Haired Monkeys was a type of animal that lived in groups. Although they were monkeys, even wild wolf packs wouldn’t mess around with them. They were a bunch of agile monkeys that were vicious at the same time. They also had a very strong body; they could fight a wild wolf alone without losing. Their claws were also as sharp as knives.
