Chapter 74 - No Need to Envy, Everyone Will Have His Share
REASONABLE!
The word fell on Pei Zhen’s ears like a roar of thunder. He felt as though he were suffering a heart attack and almost passed out.
“Let me go, you scum!” Once again a pair of hands reached out and lifted him. Pei Zhen hated himself for being a cat. No matter how much he struggled, he was unable to escape from Fu Sichen’s grip.
Arghhhh!
Angry.
Seriously angry.
Completely misunderstanding Pei Zhen’s fury, Fu Sichen assumed that he was just jealous. With a smile and twinkle in his eyes, he laughed. “I kissed your daddy, are you envious?”
“Envious my foot,” thought Pei Zhen.
“No need to be envious; everyone has a share.”
After saying that, Fu Sichen walked up to the cat. At the prospect of being subject to the terrifying ravage again, Pei Zhen froze.
It was worse than before.
Fu Sichen had just stepped out of filming and hadn’t even removed his makeup. Although he only had a light application of lipstick, the Persian cat was thoroughly white. Right smack on the white was an imprint of Fu Sichen’s lips. Subtly sexy.
Pei Zhen fumed.
Pei Zhen the cat was stiff as a board, his spirit broken and life gone from his eyes. All he wanted to do was commit suicide.
Fu Sichen!
The stinker!
The pervert!
“Alright, are you happy now?” Fu Sichen had no idea how angry Pei Zhen was; he had been taken advantage of by Fu Sichen and still had to be on his best behavior. “It’s late. Go to sleep.”
He tucked the cat into the bed sheets once more and covered him with a blanket. Then he softly cooed, “Why can’t Pei Zhen be like Sleeping Beauty and wake up when the prince kisses him?”
Pei Zhen the deity was stunned yet again by the remark.
Oh.
So that kiss at the hospital was really inspired by Sleeping Beauty?!
To sacrifice a kiss for a childhood friend is so unbelievably touching… is that what you’re hoping I’d praise you for?
My ass!
Fu Sichen!
Are you stupid!
Pei Zhen was so angry he was on the verge of a heart attack. He completely ignored Fu Sichen, flipped his body around so that his back was to Fu Sichen, and shut his eyes.
The Persian cat was quieted.
Fu Sichen felt that perhaps his kiss was working. He reached out and pinched the cat’s ear. Then, feeling satisfied, he turned around and headed back to the bathroom.
He vowed to himself that he’d take good care of the cat.
He also decided that he’d confess his feelings to Pei Zhen, when the latter woke up.
In the past, he worried that his feelings would affect Pei Zhen. However, after Pei Zhen’s accident, Fu Sichen realized that he was afraid—afraid that things would never progress, afraid that they would be separated, afraid to live in regret for the rest of his life.
Pei Zhen, Fu Sichen prayed helplessly, please hurry and wake up.
When work started again for Fu Sichen, his schedule was packed full of assignments.
Amidst the non-stop filming schedule, Fu Sichen had to squeeze time out for the recording of the War of the Pets variety show.
After news leaked that Fu Sichen was going to take part in the variety show, the hot search hits wouldn’t go down. Many fans excitedly made the assumption and claimed that in the days to come there would have no lack of their idol’s pictures.
Of course, there were speculations over the reason why the man was taking part in a variety show. Fans of bestiality took up on that point and had a field day.
“It’s definitely because of the cat!”
“Oh no, this is the end—the man I love does not love me back.”
“Hahaha. There’s no need to be sad my friends; we can eat cat kibbles together.”
Netizens anticipated the frenzy, but they would never have thought of it as a prophecy. There was no one there to dry their tears.
Of course, there was good news and bad news.
Lin Yousu had also taken part in War of the Pets.
The stir caused by the previous incident of Lin Yousu taking advantage of the Persian cat’s owner had yet to die down. And now hearing that Lin Yousu was also taking part in the variety show, Fu Sichen’s fans were agitated once again.
The big commotion before the variety show naturally pleased the programme crew. They didn’t actually give two hoots whether the audience was happy. On the contrary, they developed an evil scheme before recording the show, to assign Lin Yousu and Fu Sichen to the same team.
