Chapter 114 Killing The Orc Tribe Members, The Undead King Actually Does Something
In less than three seconds, he was back in the village square, looking around for any signs of these orcs.
It seemed like he arrived just in time to hear the soft tapping sound echoing in the air.
Turning towards the source of the noise, Alex\'s sharp eyes caught sight of three towering figures.
They were orcs, massive, brutish creatures, standing at least two meters tall.
Their green, hulking bodies were covered in tattered armor, and their tusks protruded menacingly from their lower jaws.
The orcs were circling the village\'s protective barrier, tapping it with their weapons and inspecting it.
One of them raised a large battle axe, swung it in an arc, and slammed it against the barrier with a deafening thud.
The impact sent ripples across the shimmering barrier, but there was no damage.
"W-What the hell?!" Alice\'s voice cracked through the tense silence.
She was standing beside Alex, her body tensing with unease.
The sight of the grotesque creatures sent a chill down her spine.
The orcs weren\'t attacking, but their presence alone was enough to make the air feel thick with hostility.
They were trying to understand the barrier, testing its limits as if they already knew they couldn\'t break through it with their current numbers.
"We found it, it seems," one of the orcs muttered, its voice deep.
"Yeah, but this barrier\'s sturdy, though less than the one we have in our city," another smirks, "Bring a hundred orcs, and we\'ll manage."
"Nice one," the third orc laughed. "The chief will surely reward us for our work!"
The orcs\' conversation did little to settle the rising tension in Alex\'s chest.
Each of them was a level 400 elite, just as powerful as a boss of the same rank.
Alex didn\'t need to be reminded of how strong these creatures were—he could sense it in their auras.
This was just how strong specific races of this world were.
"Let\'s go," one of the orcs spoke to his two companions, "We\'ll inform everyone, and by next week that village\'s gonna be done for."
"This is bad," Alex muttered under his breath.
But even though they were stronger than Alex, the man wasn\'t about to let them go.
If he killed them before they could spread the information, then he could prevent another useless attack on the fox village.
Without hesitation, Alex dashed forward.
His agility, honed through countless battles, allowed him to close the gap between him and the orcs in mere seconds.
But just as he was about to strike with his dagger, a sudden force of magic hit one of the orcs from the side.
A massive shard of ice pierced through the air, slamming into one of the orcs with bone-shattering force.
The orc flew back, crashing into a nearby tree with a deafening crash.
-2,746,218!
The force of the impact created a hole in the trunk, but despite the damage, the orc didn\'t die.
Instead, it staggered back to its feet, furious but not defeated.
"Do not EVER think you can come close to my village and scare my daughter," a voice rang out, cold and commanding.
Alex\'s eyes darted to the source of the voice.
Standing tall and proud was Alera, her silver fur shimmering in the moonlight.
The Queen of the Fox Tribe had apparently received the same news of the intruders, and she wasn\'t about to let these orcs make a mockery of her village.
"Heh~ A beautiful fox girl," one of the orcs leered, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "Can we use her before killing her?"
"Shut up," the most serious orc among them snapped, his voice tinged with annoyance. "Just eliminate these disgusting beasts and report back."
Alera\'s eyes narrowed as she gripped her [Frostborne Spear], its icy aura crackling with energy.
"You ugly bastards won\'t live long enough to inform anybody of anything!" she shouted, dashing toward the orcs.
The orcs seemed amused.
"Little fox lady seems confused," one of them sneered, drawing his weapon.
[Orc Tribe Member - Level 400 Elite]
[HP: 25,000,000]
Each of them was immensely powerful, maybe even more so than Alera herself.
"Male human, hehe~ Meat for the orcs!" one of the orcs let the other two deal with the fox tribe queen, instead facing Alex, "Ready to die?"
"Shut the fuck up," Alex pointed his staff at the orc, ready to conjure his spells.
Fire Meteor!
Boom!
The meteor instantly crashed on the orc\'s head, coming from above.
-219,983!
But even with all of that damage, the orc wasn\'t even fazed as he received the damage.
On the other hand, Alera\'s ice powers exploded to life.
She conjured a barrage of [Ice Shards] and [Ice Spikes], launching them at the orcs with deadly precision.
Iceberg Emerge!
The ground around her shifted as a massive iceberg emerged from the earth, crashing into the orcs with tremendous force.
Ice spread outward, freezing the very ground beneath their feet.
But despite her strength, the orcs were no pushovers.
Even as ice engulfed them, they pushed forward, their endurance and strength allowing them to break through the ice with ease.
One of them raised his weapon and swung it down, catching Alera off guard.
She dodged the blade, but a kick after that blow sent her flying.
"FOOL HUMAN MALE!" the orc Alex was facing bellowed as the meteor hit him, swinging his cleaver toward Alex.
Fwish! Slash!
Alex barely managed to step back in time, but the blade still grazed his cheek.
Blood welled up from the wound, dripping down his face.
"Thanks for the help, asshole," Alex muttered under his breath.
Thanks to his [Blood Arts], even getting hurt was an advantage to Alex.
With a wave of his hand, Alex summoned three [Blood Blades], the crimson weapons materializing from his blood.
He sent them flying toward the orc, who arrogantly stood still, convinced they were too weak to matter.
The blades struck with pinpoint accuracy, slashing into the orc\'s thick hide.
-438,321!
-512,940!
-487,283!
This time, the orc staggered back, clearly feeling the damage, and his arrogance faltered.
"Nice try, fool," the orc grunted.
"Undead, help me out!" Alex rose his hand upward, a dark energy hitting the nearby area, and his army emerging from the ground.
[+80 Skeletons, +13 Grand Skeletons, +4 Bony Knights, +3 Spectral Wraiths]
"Let\'s see you handle this," he smiled.
Meanwhile, Alera was still holding her own against the other two orcs.
Despite her best efforts, she was being overwhelmed.
The orcs were powerful, their attacks relentless.
They shrugged off her ice attacks, their endurance outmatching her magic, and they closed the gap with terrifying speed, forcing Alera to retreat.
Alera was being thrown around, and despite her strength, it was clear she was struggling.
Alex knew he couldn\'t wait any longer as he watched.
He needed to end this before things got worse.
With a surge of determination, he finally used his [Death Call].
[Death Call: Once a day, you can summon the Undead King to aid you in battle.]
The air around him shimmered as the dark energy enveloped him.
And from the depths of the earth, a powerful presence stirred.
The Undead King had been summoned.
Having not summoned the king for a while, the ancient being had already grown to level 350, advancing on his path to conquering his land again.
The ancient being, tall and skeletal, rose above Alex, with a commanding presence.
His eyes, hollow but filled with ancient power, glared at the orcs.
"ELIMINATE THEM," Alex commanded, his voice unwavering.
"Haha, look, weak skeleton!" one of the orcs laughed, taunting the Undead King.
But the insult only fueled the king\'s rage.
He snapped his fingers, and from the ground beneath the orcs, dozens of skeletal arms emerged, grabbing hold of them with unrelenting strength.
The orcs struggled against the grip, but the skeletal hands were too strong, holding them in place.
He stood silently for a moment before releasing a deep, rumbling groan.
The orcs\' struggles became futile as the skeletal arms tightened their grip.
The King had made his presence known.
"Do what you want now," the Undead King muttered, his voice dripping with disdain.
With a wave of his bony hand, he disappeared, leaving the orcs to their fate.
Alex didn\'t waste any time.
He ordered his undead army forward, and with his dagger in hand, he moved in.
The first orc fell quickly, the undead swarming around it, overwhelming it with sheer numbers.
Alera, seeing the opportunity, acted fast, using her powerful ice magic to dispatch the remaining two orcs.
And within moments, the battle was over.
The orcs were dead. Their plans thwarted.
Thanks to the Undead King\'s intervention, the village had been saved.
