Chapter 49: Power of the Legendary-rank Class
-Effect:
—> Conjure a Grimblade only you can see. This blade is able to cut through anything up to a divide, physically and ethereally, including the attributes you see via your Riftveil Eyes and ethereal aspects of mystical things, and harvest the cut-off parts. You can use the harvested attributes or aspects for yourself if you wish.
-Cost:
—> Dividing any attributes or aspects above 80 will cost 100 + 10% Mana and 20% of your mental stamina.
—> Dividing any attributes or aspects above 50 will cost 50 + 5% Mana and 10% of your mental stamina.
—> Dividing any attributes or aspects below 50 will cost 30 + 3% Mana and 5% of your mental stamina.
"Holy moly!" Natalia screeched. "This is way too scary!"
It could indeed slash everything by half with every use of the skill!
Almond immediately used the skill as an ethereal black grimblade with pale white aesthetic patterns on its blade manifested and slashed Lily.
Lily immediately felt something and saw that her Mana capacity was divided by half!
"Crazy," Lily muttered. "So this is the power of a Legendary skill. It’s broken."
"It’s awesome," Almond nodded, extremely thrilled, as one could see in his eyes.
He suddenly thought of something and wondered, "I can also cut things physically…more specifically, divide them. What does that mean?"
"Don’t tell me," Almond muttered as he looked at the girls. "Can I try it on you two?"
"What?!" Natalia demanded, uncertain and confused, feeling a cold chill. "What are you trying to do?"
Lily blinked as she thought of something, "That…would be interesting. Do it."
Almond grinned as his eyes glinted, reflecting the ethereal grimblade as it cut both of them.
In the next second, Natalia’s height shrank by half, including her clothes and everything she had worn, because Almond thought of dividing her height by half and everything else to be proportional to her height.
On the other hand, Lily’s C-cup melons, well, it could bet between C and D, shrank by half!
He decided to use the harvested aspects of the girls on him as his bust grew, but not in the woman’s way, and his height also became taller.
"Fuck, this is insane," Almond muttered, and he quickly removed the harvested attributes from him while Natalia and Lily returned to normal.
"That was so fucking weird," Natalia was dumbfounded. "Everything looked so big to me…."
"Indeed, it was a bit weird," Lily dryly chuckled.
"Well, I am going to mainly use this to divide the target’s stats and boost myself," Almond grinned. "That alone is crazy powerful."
"Yeah," Lily nodded.
"Almond is getting crazy powerful," Natalia was dazed. "Feels like the protagonist of some movie."
"Nah," Almond wryly shook his head. "Though I can’t deny I am getting a windfall here, I still have some desolate feeling I can’t explain. Anyway, all I know is getting powerful is my priority, and there’s no stopping it no matter how strong I get."
"With that said, let’s get moving," Almond said, smiling as he stood up and stretched his arms. "It’s time to finish our 1st floor’s journey."
"Sounds good," Lily grinned. "So, what are we going to do? Trigger the Floor Boss or go through the trial?"
"Floor boss with just three of us? No way," Natalia sprung up on her feet and firmly shook her head.
"I did consider triggering Floor Boss, but yeah, it’s not worth it right now," Almond said, rubbing his chin. "I mean, I’m pretty sure I can use my Divine Divider’s Harvest on it, weakening it while empowering myself. But that would still be dangerous."
"I don’t mind taking the risk, but you are right," Lily nodded. "We also need around three hours just to get to the center of the labyrinth and then collect the materials required to trigger the Floor Boss."
"Yep. If we fail to defeat it by the time the exit gate appears, it will vanish, wasting our efforts. As such, let’s go through the Floor Clearing trial. That’s best for now."
There were two ways one could go to the next floor.
Either by defeating the Floor Boss of each floor, which is massive in size with tons of Health and various attack patterns with multiple phases.
The ideal party to defeat the 1st Floor Boss was 50 Silver level 10 Adventurers.
Moreover, defeating Floor Bosses gave rewards according to contributions on the leaderboard that the Labyrinth generated each time a Floor Boss triggered.
Any action done by an individual that contributed to the damage on the Floor Boss would count, including healing other Adventurers who were focused on attacking, defending, and everything else.
The three of them could try, but frankly, there wasn’t enough time.
Up to the 5th floor, the floor boss would vanish every 3rd day’s end (and it would spawn stronger every three-day cycle), but from the 6th floor onward, new types of rules applied where the entire floor would change once the Floor Boss appeared. All other monsters would vanish, and the floor Boss would remain perpetually active until it was defeated.
It would also get stronger every three days as long as it wasn’t defeated, making it a tough ordeal since as long as the Floor Boss remained on the floor, nobody would be able to level up by defeating monsters as there would be no monsters to kill.
This incident happened on the 6th floor, and it caused a high death toll where even some talented and promising rising adventurers and frontline adventures of that time died since the floor would shrink and it would be hard to escape from the Floor Boss.
Exit would appear every three days for five hours, but it would be random while the Floor Boss would roam the floor, so only lucky ones could escape.
From then onward, a rule was applied where GAA and top guilds would first discover the Floor Boss triggering condition and keep an eye on it so that no one would trigger the Floor Boss of the new floor without preparation.
Unless top guilds’ core members reached the maximum possible level to be reached on the new floor, nobody was allowed to trigger the Floor Boss.
…
"Let’s check our new Class Specialized quest before moving up," Natalia said as she looked at the new quest.
