Chapter 2454: Mission 134

“You didn’t deceive me. You mentioned it’s at the foot of the mountain, and indeed, it is. It’s just that you’re not a member of the Huang Clan,” she acknowledged, addressing Adams.

Camilla detested dishonesty, and if Adams had lied, no matter how attractive he was, she would have rejected him. However, given the absence of deception, she seemed willing to forgive other details, including his non-membership in the Huang Clan.

“What clan do you belong to?” Camilla inquired.

“Adams is the Tribe Chief of our Thunder Fire Clan,” interjected Percy from the Thunder Fire Clan before Adams could respond.

Adams shot Percy a cold look, feeling that Percy had overstepped his bounds, almost as if betraying the Thunder Fire Clan.

“Tribe Chief, you’re quite remarkable. It’s rare to find someone as brave and resourceful as you in the Huang Clan. I, Camilla, have excellent taste. Consider following me. You don’t need to join them,” Camilla offered graciously.

“No, I’m the Tribe Chief of the Thunder Fire Clan. My duty is to my clan. I won’t abandon my clansmen for anything. If my clansmen are there, so am I,” Adams insisted. How could he abandon them?

Camilla hadn’t anticipated such firm resolve from him.

“Elder Miss, perhaps we should just eliminate him,” suggested the man beside Camilla.

He considered Adams too exceptional, and his presence might disrupt the clan. If he were to stay, it could create complications.

Camilla shook her head.

The situation was becoming rather intriguing.

While the men of the Huang Clan were typically eager to follow Camilla’s lead, the current display of reluctance among them was unusual.

Thunder Fire Clan?

Camilla assumed it was likely just a small clan with a limited number of members. Considering this, she made an offer.

“I, Camilla, will safeguard all the clansmen of your Thunder Fire Clan. Will you follow me now?” she proposed.

Adams wore an unpleasant expression.

As a man and a Tribe Chief, he felt insulted by the Elder Miss of the Huang Clan.

This wasn’t what he had intended, and now, he found himself in this predicament because of her.

Adams was displeased.

Remaining unwilling, he had no intention of agreeing.

“You’re unwilling?” Despite Camilla’s novelty, she lacked patience. Having already conceded on several points, she expected reciprocity. If he continued to resist, it indicated he wasn’t taking her seriously.

If he didn’t take her seriously, she wouldn’t maintain her temper.

Camilla looked at Adams. “If you’re unwilling, it’s simple. Don’t expect any mercy for your clansmen.”

“Guards,” Camilla called.

Members of the Huang Tribe assembled, ready to subdue the Thunder Fire Clan members.

“Tribe Chief, for our sake, please agree. Consider the situation. If you refuse, we may lose our lives,” pleaded Percy, clearly anxious and fearful for his life.

Adams remained unwilling. He glanced at Gu Chaoyan, poised to take action.
