Global Game: Ten Billion Spirit Energy Coins From The Start

Chapter 200: 200. The Third Wave of Monster Siege_1

One and a half hours later, Su Yu returned to the game.

By this point, almost all structures within the village have been upgraded at least once.

The Recruitment Team players brought back the latest batch of 242 displaced people, all of whom returned to the village.

When Su Yu logged in, he first checked the property panel of his territory.

The current territorial properties were:

[Aphi Village]

Level: Giant Village

Population: 811/1000

Prosperity: 86/100

Livability: 68/100

Resources: Food 2568, Wood 17569, Stone 2567, Gold 624, Iron 426.

The village’s resources were very plentiful, alleviating any short-term worries about a lack of construction material or gold for technology upgrades.

Both [Prosperity] and [Livability] took a sharp hit with the arrival of the new batch of displaced people.

But this wasn’t an issue.

After all, there was a good two hours before the next arrival of displaced people. That was more than enough time to restore both values to over 90.

As the population of the territory increased once again, Su Yu received a system notice:

“[Aphi Village] population exceeds 600 successfully promoting to [Giant Village]. The enlargement of the village’s area pressured the surrounding monsters’ living space, so, 30 minutes from now, a new group of monsters will attack Aphi Village. Prepare your defenses.”

“The average level of this siege monster ——[14], total number of monsters —— [1557]. Among them, normal monsters —— [1400], elite monsters —— [140], leader monsters —— [14], superior leader monsters —— [2], rare leader monsters —— [1]. Countdown begins: 29:57.”

The average level of the monsters laying siege this time was 14, matching the average player’s level within the guild.

Inwardly, Su Yu reckoned, “We should be able to defend this wave of monsters if guild players work together. They can also gain some experience and equipment. But we must call for external assistance for the next wave, and we need to prepare in advance for that.”

With this in mind, he opened a private chat window to connect with [The range is the truth]: “Are you guys ready? It’s two-and-a-half hours until the next monster attack. The next wave will likely be 17 or 18 level monsters, numbering around 2000.”

Snow Leopard was offline dealing with issues in Lingwu Mountain Spring Eye, and hadn’t logged in yet, so Su Yu could only get in touch with Range is the Truth.

Range is the Truth readily agreed to help Su Yu defend the village. Upon receiving the private message, he promptly replied: “Alright, we’ll be there in two hours. If the monsters are level 17 or 18, then we’ll have to take this seriously.”

The average level of the “Relevant Department” guild’s Elite Team was also around 18. The monster’s levels weren’t far off from theirs, and their numbers were significant. They definitely needed to approach this seriously, otherwise, they might end up in danger.

“Great, looking forward to your arrival!” replied Su Yu, before closing his private chat with him.

Then he opened the [Monster Siege Command Headquarters] chat room: “Nuclear Waste, the five of you get ready, your moment of challenge has arrived.”

“Understood, Chairman. We have already grouped the guild players by profession and would be rallying outside the village in 15 minutes.” Nuclear Waste answered.

Half an hour later, a faint yellow halo spread outward from the centre of Aphi village. It continued to expand until it reached two kilometers outside of the village and remained hovering in that state.

All wild animals and birds vanished under its influence, and Aphi Village fell into an eerie tranquillity.

The tranquillity before the storm.

“Is this it?” Many players inside the village perked up, they knew a faint yellow halo symbolised the imminent monster attack.

System Bulletin: “Aphi Village Monster Siege will soon initiate ”

Rumble

A low, resonating sound rumbled in from the distance, and the ground under the players’ feet began to tremble slightly.

Shortly after, a large number of monsters spawned at the location of the halo and started advancing towards Aphi village’s wooden wall.

[Fire Bunny lv13], [Spiky Hedgehog lv14], [Forest Bear lv15], [Dew Elf lv16], [Shadow Anaconda lv16]

The formation of the sieging monsters was meticulous.

[Forest Bear] with its high defense and substantial hit points was at the front, serving as the tank of the monsters; [Shadow Anaconda], in stealth mode, wrapped around the bear and rushed towards the targets, launching swift and ruthless attacks with its sharp fangs, thus functioning as the assassin among the monsters;

[Fire Bunny] cast [Fireball Skill], and the [Fire Bunny Elite] even cast [Rain of Fire] and [Firestorm], playing the role of AOE mage among the monsters;

[Spiky Hedgehog] could fire its poisonous heaps towards its enemies, functioning as the archer among the monsters;

[Dew Elf] could replenish life points of surrounding monsters using the dew it carried, acting as the priest amongst the monsters.

The players’ formation was similar to that of the sieging monsters, with tanks at the front; warrior assassins were mixed with tanks; priests, archers and other ranged professions were either stationed at the back row or on the wooden wall.

As the monsters slowly approached, the atmosphere started to tense up.

Players struck first. Arrows and spells cut through the air, focusing fire on the [Dew Elf] and [Fire Bunny] in the back row – the two monsters posing the greatest threat to the players.

The monsters did not yield either.

The spikes from the Hedgehog and the fireballs from the Fire Bunny continually flew towards the players’ back row and the walls of the city, taking away beams of white light; the colossal Bear crashed into the densest area of players and began rampaging, while the Anaconda lunged at the players’ throats like lightning.

The battle heated up.

Both sides had similar levels, but the players had far more teamwork compared to the monsters; however, the monsters had the numerical advantage.

Thus, once the battle reached a boiling point, it was surprisingly difficult to determine the outcome.

Su Yu quickly found himself in the role of a “Fire Fighting Captain”.

He used the [Invisibility Skill] to approach the rare Boss [Spiky Hedgehog Leader lv18 (Rare)]. With one [Lesser Fireball Skill], he managed to kill it instantly.

Before he had time to catch his breath, he received a message in the chat room.

Nuclear Waste: “Boss Ke! A Fire Bunny boss with tremendous spell power appeared on the east side of the village, where a single spell killed over twenty players and ripped a hole in our eastern defense.”

Su Yu: “Alright, I’ll be right there.”

One minute later.

Godzilla: “Boss Ke, a huge snake appeared on the west side of the village, and many players are terrified.”

Su Yu: “Let them cry for a while, I’ll be right there.”

Another minute passed.

Nuclear Waste: “Boss Ke, a Dew Elf appeared on the north side of the village, and it’s really hard to deal with because it doesn’t lose any health.”

Su Yu: “I’m on my way ”

A few dozen seconds later.

Mutant: “Boss Ke, based on the players’ report, a group of sahaguin has appeared in the river to the south of the village. There were never any monsters from this direction before.”

Su Yu: “I’ll go check it out ”

“Boss Ke ”

“Boss Ke ”

For the next ten or so minutes, Su Yu constantly darted around the village, putting out fires and engaging in combat. It was so frantic that he began doubting whether he had become a nanny.
