Transmigrating as the Younger Sister of a Bigshot with Multiple Identities

Chapter 823: Psychology Society

On the weekend, Xiao Yize invited Gu Jin out on their first official date since becoming a couple.

Xiao Yize had meticulously planned everything and even sought advice from Gu Yang. Eventually, he settled on a shooting club in the capital.

Gu Jin found the idea quite intriguing.

However, the outing didn’t turn out as romantically as Xiao Yize had envisioned.

Gu Jin enthusiastically dragged him into competitive shooting for half a day, determined to win and insisting he give his best effort.

Xiao Yize found himself both amused and delighted by her competitiveness. He hadn’t expected his top ranking on the Dark Net Divine Spear List to come in handy like this.

Meanwhile, Gu Yang had joined the Psychology Society.

Initially, Ji Minghui had facilitated Gu Yang’s entry, but some members of the society were not pleased with her presence.

With an academic conference scheduled for the weekend, Ji Minghui invited Gu Yang to attend.

Most attendees were older men, with Gu Yang being the youngest, followed by Ji Linbai.

Despite benefiting from Ji Minghui’s connections, Ji Linbai had earned his place in the psychology field through his own achievements, fully meeting the society’s criteria.

Ji Minghui, accompanied by his son and Chen Fengqing, approached when they spotted Gu Yang.

Introducing the others, Ji Linbai said to Gu Yang, “Gu Yang, this is Professor Pang Xun, a distinguished professor from Capital University’s psychology department.”

Professor Pang Xun, a stout elderly man with white hair and an upturned beard, stood with his hands behind his back, his expression serious as he faced Gu Yang.

Most of the present individuals were elders. After Ji Linbai’s introductions, Gu Yang greeted them respectfully.

Pang Xun’s expression darkened as he scrutinized Gu Yang. “Gu Yang, right? Despite Principal Ji’s endorsement and approval from our former president to join the association, you still need the recognition of us elders before being officially accepted.”

Gu Yang nodded politely, exuding an air of deference that left Pang Xun momentarily at a loss for criticism.

Pang Xun and the other experts and professors who initially opposed Gu Yang’s exceptional entry into the society exchanged glances. They proceeded to test Gu Yang with professional questions.

Gu Yang answered methodically and confidently, offering several unique insights.

As Pang Xun and the others observed Gu Yang’s responses, their demeanor gradually shifted. They no longer regarded her with skepticism or condescension.

Seeing that Pang Xun’s line of questioning was veering off course, Ji Minghui furrowed his brow. “Professor Pang, isn’t this question beyond our current investigation scope?”

Chen Fengqing, known for his clashes with Pang Xun over academic matters, seized the opportunity to mock him. “We haven’t even resolved that issue, yet you’re picking on a young woman?”

Pang Xun remained silent, his gaze fixed on Gu Yang. “Don’t stop, continue.”

“Alright,” Gu Yang replied softly, proceeding to articulate her views.

Ji Minghui, Chen Fengqing, and the others listened intently, their expressions growing increasingly serious.

Ji Linbai couldn’t contain his excitement. “Exactly! Why didn’t we think of that!”

Chen Fengqing applauded Gu Yang and looked at her with newfound admiration. “Excellent! The younger generation surpasses us indeed! Pang Xun, nothing more to add?”

Pang Xun was genuinely taken aback. While he knew Gu Yang’s acceptance by the former president indicated her academic caliber, her professionalism still surprised him.

Though Pang Xun refrained from responding directly to Chen Fengqing, his silence implied his acceptance of Gu Yang’s membership in the Psychology Society. However, he furrowed his brow and inquired, “I heard you chose the Physics Department at Hua University?”
