Chapter 216: The Beast Kings vs The Celestial Heavenly Armies.
Instantly, a heavy and tense silence settled among the beasts. The once jubilant atmosphere, filled with laughter and visions of feasting on delicious human flesh, morphed into an air thick with dread.
The kings among the beasts, who moments ago reveled in their imagined victory, now exchanged uneasy glances.
The centipede's human form froze mid-laugh, the monkey's joyous expression twisted into a frown, and a palpable sense of unease swept through the gathering.
The first inkling of realization dawned upon them as distant sounds, muffled but undeniable, reached their sensitive ears—the trudging march of disciplined footsteps.
In addition, the clinking of armor, and the ominous resonance of a vast army moving with unwavering purpose.
"H-H-ow…is…this possible?" The monkey asked, his voice shaking.
Their leader, the elusive rat, regained his calm and said seriously. "I don't know… but that's not why I'm worried."
"If you're thinking about those three. They are dead." Roaring Eagle dropped another bombshell.
All the beasts rolled their eyes and looked at the eagle with shock etched on their faces. "A-Are you telling the truth?"
"Do you think I will joke with such a sensitive matter?"
"Why don't you tell us when you know they're dead?" The Bone Crushing Hyena asked, his voice dripping with anger.
"Are you an idiot?" Roaring Eagle retorted, her voice echoed like a roar. "How would I know if they are dead or not if my people did not send the message?"
The Bone Crushing Hyena glared at Roaring Eagle for a couple of seconds with fury etched on its face. To him, he believed the eagle must have known earlier and didn't warn them.
Since she was an aerial beast, she had the highest possibility of escaping among them if the humans proved to be too powerful for them. Though, he didn't believe they would be too much to handle.
"This is not the time to fight among ourselves. The real enemies are the humans; we must find a way to stop their advance right now before we lose our precious home," The Monkey king said.
"What else can we do than to fight them? They are already here, are we going to hide once again?" The Bone Crushing Hyena responded.
"The Hyena is right. We can't avoid this battle. All our race have been deployed to wipe out the humans. Now, the forest is almost empty, and this fight depends on us," the Elusive Torment Rat said with a grievous tone.
"Since they dare venture deep into our home, we must make sure none of them return alive."
With that, all the beast kings rushed toward the direction of the powerful vibration. Among the beast kings, the weakest among them was an early grade-3 beast that just promoted to grade-3.
Each grade-3 has a territory they rule like kings, and realizing their territory is under attack. The battle had become personal.
As for the Elusive Torment Rat, he was the leader of this side of the forest apart from the Grade-4 beast that was the overlord. Killing three of his people under his watch showed how a weakness in his rule.
And such weakness only meant one thing. His reign was about to end, and death awaited him.
Meanwhile, the Celestial Heavenly armies were a killing machine, killing everything in their path.
Every time they crossed a region, the region turned into a dead silence and what lay behind them was dead bodies of beasts.
No matter what tricks the beasts used, it was met with an overwhelming force.
The terrifying army of five hundred thousand soldiers sliced through the dense vegetation of the Dreadshade forest with an unstoppable momentum.
The twisted trees and ominous shadows yielded to the might of their presence, creating a path where no humans had ventured before.
In just one hour, the relentless march led them to a region untouched by the footprints of humanity.
As the soldiers penetrated deeper, the once foreboding atmosphere began to shift.
A breathtaking scene unfolded before their eyes—the vibrant colors and elusive wonders that had eluded the gaze of mankind for centuries.
The rare grass underfoot crunched with an otherworldly freshness, a stark contrast to the dense and dark ambiance of the forest they had traversed.
Monstrous mountains, standing proud and ancient, towered above them like guardians of a hidden realm.
The soldiers couldn't help but crane their necks to take in the majestic sight.
Awe painted their expressions as they marveled at the sheer grandeur of the landscape.
The soldiers moved forward, drawn by the melodious symphony of waterfalls that echoed through the newfound expanse.
Crystal-clear cascades, glittering in the filtered sunlight, cascaded down rocky cliffs, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.
The beauty of the waterfalls was a stark contradiction to the ominous reputation that had shrouded the Dreadshade forest for generations.
Valleys unfolded like blooming canvases, each one a masterpiece adorned with a kaleidoscope of flowers that carpeted the ground.
Precious fruits, glistening in a spectrum of colors, dangled from the branches of trees, inviting the soldiers to partake in the bounty of nature.
The astonishment among the ranks was palpable.
The soldiers, prepared for a war against the unknown, found themselves in the midst of a surreal paradise hidden within the heart of the Dreadshade forest.
Furthermore, the verdant landscapes, the harmonious blend of flora and fauna, and the wealth of rare resources surpassed their wildest expectations.
They walked through valleys full of exotic flowers, their vibrant hues contrasting against the rich greenery.
The air was filled with the intoxicating fragrance of blossoms that seemed to have bloomed solely for their arrival.

Amidst the whispers of leaves and the distant hum of nature, the soldiers stood astounded, witnessing a side of the Dreadshade forest that defied every tale of darkness and danger.
The precious resources, the stunning scenery, and the untouched beauty around them left the soldiers in a state of awe and disbelief.
However, all their shock and wonder was cut short when they heard a loud, piercing howl.
Quickly, the army became alert and looked in the direction of the howl.
From the depth of the forest, a massive centipede crawled out. Its thousands of legs were intimidating enough to make one's legs turn to jelly.
As the army focused their gaze on the massive centipede, a loud shriek came from the sky.
A massive black eagle appeared in the sky with a wingspan close to ten meters; its sharp claws were deadly sickles that would reap life out of any human in seconds.
Its deep black eyes with a small white dot at the center glared at the humans and opened its mouth.
Instantly, a powerful roar came out of its mouth. The powerful roar was a sound that would make its enemies stunned and weak for a couple of seconds.
The armies cried in pain under the deafening roar. They held their ears as blood gushed out continuously.
Watching the humans bleeding continuously under its first attack, the eagle's confidence soared, and it looked back as if telling its comrades how fearsome it was.
The Centipede was furious and quickly rushed toward the humans to devour them.
Right then, all the hidden grade-3 beasts came out of their hiding and rushed toward the armies.
Their gaze filled with fury and excitement. The thought of having a human felt in their mouths made their mouths water.
Whoosh!
The Roaring Eagle did not want to be outdone and dove down, ready to pick its target.
Among those on the ground, the Bone Crushing Hyena was the fastest.
It was only a couple of feet from the armies, with its eyes burning with hatred.
It was ready to crush as many bones as possible, ready to turn their grassland into the graveyard of bones.
But then, things took a drastic turn.
"Formation!" A voice shouted from the back of the army.
Instantly, the soldiers that were covering their ears stood straight and began to rearrange themselves.
Their movement was fluid and synchronized that it only took them three seconds before they restructured themselves into a battle mode.
"Trident Battle Tactics," the voice shouted.
At once, a group of battalions separated from the army and formed a separate formation.
But that was not all; the voice continued to give commands after commands.
When the beasts finally realized what was going on, their there were five deadly battle formations waiting for them.
Still, the beasts didn't care. They were kings of the forest. Why would they care about the command of a Qi Refinement warrior?
When the Roaring Eagle was only a couple of feet from its target; it spread its sharp claws to harvest its prey.
But then, the soldiers reacted.
"Bloodline Suppression!" The commander of the battalion shouted.
The Roaring Eagle that was ready to feast on her prey only heard those words before everything around her turned upside down.
