Beast Taming: I Can Evolve Indefinitely

Chapter 132 - 131: Attacking the Valley

Hearing the name Bai Qi gave to the Slime creature, Husky couldn’t resist expressing some distaste.

The names that Bai Qi had originally given them were already bizarre enough, but somehow, he had managed to trump himself with an even more peculiar name.

“Don’t like it? I was thinking of trying a different style.”

Bai Qi sighed with some disappointment, “In that case, you can be called

Gamma.”

Calamari Calamari?

(I have a name?)

The Slime creature was clearly very pleased with its name, bouncing around the cave in delight.

“I’m all packed up, when do we set off.”

Nicholas appeared from the depths of the cave, but as Bai Qi looked him up and down, he could see no signs of any packed items.

Could it be that Nicholas had actually mastered a Space Skill?

“Where is all your stuff? Did you eat it all?”

Nicholas shook his head, then spread out his dragon claw to reveal a slowly opening green flower. Nestled within the flower’s petals, were the things the Green Dragon had stashed away in the cave.

“This is my skill, the Jade Flower Realm, I can use it to store some things.”

So it was indeed a Space Skill.

Envious, Bai Qi licked his lips then checked the time. “Alpha should wake up in about three hours, let’s wait a bit longer.”

Nicholas nodded, “Perfect, you can tell me about the outside world.”

Bai Qi patted his chest, “Not a problem! Just make sure to remember what I tell you, otherwise people will trick you outside.”

“Mmm, I’ll only believe you, Bai Qi! I won’t believe a word anyone else says!”

“Good, then let me start by telling you about…”

Valley Snake Cave.

Countless giant snakes lazily lay in the valley, their crimson tongues flicking in and out, greedily absorbing the unique aroma of the valley.

Without predators, they could comfortably absorb the dragon aura within the Dragon Blood Grass to enhance themselves. The only pity was that they were not qualified to enter the cave, otherwise their rate of evolution would have been faster.

Roar!

A roar sent the entire valley shaking. The giant snakes raised their heads, looking at the sky.

A massive green dragon was hovering above the valley, releasing its terrifying draconic aura without restraint, instantly crushing some of the weaker poisonous snakes into mush.

Hissss…

Seeing this, the giant snakes all entered combat mode, opening their mouths and spewing a massive wave of venom at the skyward beast.

But Nicholas was flying too high, the venom couldn’t reach him and just fell back to the ground.

“Let’s start.”

Bai Qi slapped Nicholas, who immediately understood. He turned towards the valley and spewed out a green dragon’s breath, directly enveloping the entire valley.

[Skill Name]: Jade Breath

[Skill Level]: Super Level

[Skill Effect]: Ability of the Green Dragon. Can purify any abnormalities, infiltrate enemies with the power of jade, and drain all of their energy.

To avoid any mishaps, Nicholas directly used the Super Level skill, and its effect was indeed significant. The valley’s poisonous snakes exploded on contact with the Jade Breath, transforming into streams of green light that merged with the Jade Breath.

“Even though it’s a Super Skill, the effect is quite different when used by a legendary creature.”

This was the first time Bai Qi had seen a legendary creature using a Super Level skill and at such a close distance, no less.

No wonder legendary creatures were revered as guardian deities by the Federation. Before a legendary creature, those below legendary status indeed had little power to resist.

And this was when Nicholas was not even giving it his all. If he went all-out, the scene would have been even more shocking.

Soon, all the poisonous snakes in the valley disappeared under the Jade Breath. Yet the Dragon Blood Grass and other plants within the valley were completely unscathed, even appearing more lush than before.

However, such a massive commotion woke up the Giant Python. Its massive body slithered out from the cave. Upon seeing Nicholas in the sky, it immediately let out an angry roar.

Looking at the huge python below that seemed ready to rush upwards, Nicholas instinctively wanted to retreat.

The fear of the Eastern Dragon, which had been ingrained in his mind for hundreds of years, was not something that could be forgotten so easily.

“Don’t be a coward, we’re with you!”

Seeing this, Bai Qi immediately began to reassure Nicholas. He signaled askance at Alpha, who immediately got the message. Switching into machine gun mode, Alpha started to attack the python like crazy.

Because he was held by Nicholas, Alpha didn’t need to worry about the recoil, so he focused entirely on the assault. His attack rate was significantly faster than when he was previously fighting the Earthshaking Bull Demon. Combined with the addition of the Withering Power, the initially ferocious python was instantly caught off guard.

Roar!

Seeing itself being hurt by a small skeleton, the python was once again enraged. It whipped its tail and countless scales shimmering with dark green light spun toward Alpha.

Seeing this, Nicholas instantly gained some altitude, but the python didn’t seem to want to let them go, matching their attack height.

“Alpha, let’s see that new skill.”

Click-click-click.

(Okay.)

Alpha nodded and was instantly covered by a stream of earthy yellow power which gradually concentrated, finally converging onto the bones of his right hand.

Then, with a flick of his finger, Alpha launched the phalanx, causing all the scales of the poison snake that it passed to deviate from their trajectory.

Gravity Amplification.

Because it was a recently mastered skill, the proficiency of Gravity Amplification was only at the beginner level. Therefore, unlike the Earthshaking Bull Demon, Alpha couldn’t condense a gravity ball out of thin air and could only use some mediums to perform.

Although the power was less, it was enough to interfere with the physical long-range attack of the poison snake, it wasn’t as potent as the Earthshaking Bull Demon to explode the star-effect.

The attack from Alpha seemed to have encouraged Nicholas, he could also clearly sense the difference in power between him and the poison snake.

So, not every insect with long horns is capable of fighting.

Finally, the shadow that had existed in its mind for many years gradually disappeared, replaced by the confidence that a legendary creature should have.

With his feet in the Void, Nicholas coldly looked at the poison snake still roaring below, and said, “If thou dost not leave quickly, don’t blame me for being ruthless!”

Puff!

Hearing Nicholas’s words, Bai Qi couldn’t help but laugh aloud, immediately contacting Husky in the Beast Control Space, swearing, “You stupid dog, what did you show him again!”

Woof! Woof!

(Nothing much, just showed him some mythological TV series.)

Just as I thought!

Bai Qi’s eye twitched a little, however, seeing Nicholas gradually overcoming his fear of the giant snake, he remained silent.

It’s okay to be eccentric, as long as he can win.

The giant snake didn’t understand Nicholas’s actions, but this didn’t prevent it from noticing the disdain in Nicholas’s eyes. It was instantly filled with rage and its energy began to converge towards the lump on its head.

At the same time, a dense green cloud gradually appeared directly above the heads of Bai Qi and the others, the putrid smell could even be smelled from afar.

Is it, calling the wind and summoning the rain?

Brother, you’ve run to the wrong film set.

Looking at the thickening green cloud above his head, Nicholas also sensed a hint of danger and immediately took flight towards the valley.

The giant snake seemed to have predicted this result. As Nicholas flew, it also shot towards the sky.

“You guys go down first, so that I can concentrate on dealing with him.”

Nicholas skillfully avoided the giant snake’s attack, set Bai Qi and Alpha on the ground, then flew up again, pulling the giant snake to fly elsewhere.

Bai Qi had no intention of staying at all, he directly commanded Alpha to carry him and ran towards the cave where the giant snake had emerged from.

Nicholas was undoubtedly stronger than the poison snake, but from what this guy said, it seemed he hasn’t really fought properly, so he might not be able to exert his full strength.

So, just to be safe, Bai Qi and Nicholas had planned in advance.

Nicholas was responsible for eliminating the valley snakes and the giant snake. If not, he would first pull the giant snake away, while Bai Qi was responsible for entering and inspecting the situation inside the cave.

If they could find the core, it would be the best. If not, there would be no need for them to continue wasting time with the giant snake.

But before they could run far, poison rain began to fall from the green cloud above their heads.

“Damn, it’s really summoning the rain.”

Looking at the falling poisonous rain above his head, Bai Qi couldn’t help but curse. Alpha immediately summoned the Ice Crystal Barrier to block it above his head.

However, the poison snake’s level was much higher than Bai Qi’s. The Ice Crystal Barrier only held out for a while before showing signs of being corroded by the potent poison. Some that fell on the ground quickly evaporated, turning into dense poisonous mist floating towards Bai Qi.

Seeing this, Bai Qi immediately summoned Gamma out. Gamma instantly transformed into an armor, completely enclosing Bai Qi and blocking the poisonous mist outside.

“Phew… It was indeed a correct decision to contract with the Slime Monster.”

Looking at the valley that was also covered in poisonous mist, Bai Qi quietly sighed a sigh of relief, then told Alpha to speed up and run towards the cave.

Although Gamma had toxin resistance, his skill level was too low and could only protect him from being poisoned by the slightest.

If the slime monster couldn’t hold it, and as before, decomposed on its own, with his small physical stature, he could boast to the King of Hell that he had survived for five seconds.

Fortunately, the place where Nicholas set them down was not far from the cave. Under Alpha’s full sprint, they quickly ran into the cave.

As soon as Bai Qi entered the cave, he sensed an unusual aura, and the pervasive toxins seemed disturbed by this aura, hovering only at the entrance of the cave, unable to enter.

“It seems that this place is most likely the core area of the secret realm.”

Seeing this scenario, Bai Qi further affirmed his suspicion, summoned all three of his pets, and carefully proceeded deeper into the cave.

Woof! Woof!

(What kind of creepy place is this? Everything is so slimy! It’s disgusting!)

Beta shook off the sticky substance attached to his paw and didn’t hide his dislikes, while Schuck activated the cleaning device to wash off the surrounding slime.

“This is a snake’s den. Did you think it was your home? Hurry up and find the core.”

Bai Qi kicked the hypersensitive Husky and started carefully inspecting every corner of the cave.

Finally, after passing through a sticky tunnel, the cave started to broaden.

And what came into view was a huge skeleton.

The owner of this skeleton had been dead for a long time, some parts of it had already started to rot.

But even so, Bai Qi could still sense a profound dominant aura.

It was the aura he had seen on Alpha and Nicholas.

The Dragon Majesty.

Then, is this a dragon bone?!
