Chapter 482 Dragon Mainland
Chapter 482 Dragon Mainland
"Tell me what you want," Alex said, surprised to hear Evangeline mention such big names, something he was certainly not expecting.
"You will need to bring a group of individuals to the Demon Continent," Evangeline said, but before she could say anything further, her figure was frozen, an unseen force gripping her.
'Little one, If you believe that Watcher can protect you, then you are gravely mistaken, so choose your demands wisely,' A female voice, so cold and laced with such blood lust that it could break a fragile mind and make even the bravest want to run for their life.
Alex was surprised by the bold demand because while he expected Evangeline to have ties with the demons, he knew that she was not a fool to not understand his value to the domain and should know that trying to lead him into such a blatant trap was worse than a fool's errand.
So it only meant she had some other plan of her own and believed that she could convince Alex to accept her request, something that carried the risk of his very life.
While the Elders understood that they were not dealing with an idiot, Lady Margaret felt the need to remind Evangeline with whom she was dealing and what the consequences of her actions could be.
"As I was saying, you will need to bring a group containing a maximum of six individuals to the Demon Continent, and you need to do it two years at the earliest, and once you have taken them there, your part of the deal will be fulfilled,"
"This is my only request, and if you can not fulfill it, then we have no deal," Evangeline calmly said, her expression not changing even for an instant.
'Domain Ruler, there is no need to consider this proposal because it carries too much risk, and if it is just the information, then it can be gained without any issue,' Elder Darrien said, making his stance clear on the situation.
"Before your guardians try to threaten me, I want to tell that lady, yes, the Watcher will protect me from any harm from powerful figures like you because I am special, but you are welcome to test my claim," Evangeline said with a bright smile.
Alex watched as a crimson aura manifested around Evangeline before her pale white skin began to crack, blood leaking out from eyes gem-like eyes, nose, and ears, while she experienced pain so horrible it could break the toughest of minds.
Alex was about to tell his guardians to stop when the crimson aura vanished as a protected dark aura enveloped Evangeline like a cloak, restoring her body back to its undamaged condition.
An aura that was only felt by the guardians permeated the room while a simple message confirming the bold claim of Evangeline was delivered to the two guardians.
'The Watcher will protect this young lady from anyone who aims to torture her or erase her immortal avatar, so forcefully extracting information is not an option,' Lady Margaret said, sharing something that any player would consider a big lie, but Alex knew it was the truth.
'If Zero can keep the truth of the Ancient world hidden from the world for three years, he surely can also grant special favors to the world leaders who helped him set up everything,' Alex thought, a bit surprised but not really surprised by seeing one of his theories proven true.
"If you can prove that you are not working for the demons, directly or indirectly, and the trip you want me to make is not a trap, then we might be able to agree," Alex said after moments of silence.
"I have ties with the demons, but I can assure you that no outsider from my side, meaning besides me and the six individuals who will make the trip, no one will know about this trip, and there will be no trap waiting for you on the demon continent, and you can leave that place the moment you can,"
"However, I can not guarantee that everything will go smoothly because there is always the possibility," Evangeline said as she snapped her figure, and a agreement detailing all the points and the associated punishment appeared before Alex.
Alex read the contract, and everything from each player needing to go through a thorough check until he was satisfied to them taking a law oath to keep the information a secret up to two days after they were taken to the Demon continent was mentioned.
Evangeline would also take the law oath to ensure no outsider would find out about the trip, and anyone who already knows about the trip only from her side would take the same oath right after they agreed to the deal.
It was a well-thought-out contract containing everything Alex wanted, so after some thinking, he made up his mind to accept the deal but decided to first have a discussion with the elders.
"I will give you my answer in a few days," Alex said, and after a silent nod, he disappeared from the room.

(Three Days Later)
'So this is what the air of the Dragon Mainland normally feels like.'
'It's much different than the last time I breathed it,' Alex thought as he stepped out of the towering teleportation building, his eyes looking at the sky painted in shades of crimson clouds, a scene reminiscent of a sunset.
Alex agreed to the deal with Evangeline, and as promised, she told him about three Cult high elders and two Sin champions and how he could locate all of them.
One of the Elders was a wandering Monarch not associated with any powers except the demons, and while he was easiest to find, he was the hardest to deal with, so it was decided to leave him alone.
The second elder who could be easily found belonged to the Sanctum of Everflow, an Order that had its presence on all Seven continents, an order that had influence similar to the Human Empire, and the Elder that worked for the Cult was one of the three Arahat, a peak Eight Rank individual, and a man with vast influence.
But it was not a problem to deal with him, so Draknar, with his regiment, was sent to capture him while only clues were given about the last Cult Elder, so Lady Araneth was sent on his trail to find him and capture him alive.
The two figures about whom Evangeline gave detailed details were Sin Champions of Sloth and Wrath, and while the former was a enigmatic person named Fabian, a cunning yet twisted scientist and very hard to find, the latter was the current champion of the Gladiator Arena of the Dragon Mainland.
It was not going to be easy to locate Fabian because the only feasible method, besides sheer luck, was to pique his fascination enough for him to approach you.
This could only happen if you possessed something of great interest, like a specimen that captured the attention of his twisted scientific mind, and furthermore, one needed to be cautious about how this details reached him because he was a very, very cautious individual.
So that only left Alex with the option to meet with Voragor, the Wrathful Conqueror, and kidnap that bastard when everything was in place.
