Chapter 386 Event Announcement
Chapter 386 Event?Announcement
Boras's shock only grew hearing the name of the Monarch, but seeing Alex leaving him behind, he swiftly rushed after him, his heart rate racing as he thought about both the possibility of success and failure.
In four days, the year would come to an end, and on the very next day, the Continental Auction, in which Alex planned to participate, would be held.
Alex planned to buy the third heart of the Beast Monrach, a couple of other legacies and rare items, and hopefully more, as he knew little about the catalog of items, especially the ones sold in the VIP section.
It took a few minutes for them to reach the lake, and minutes later, they were inside the hidden space, standing before Elder Ana?lle.
Boras stood mesmerized by the beauty before him with a silly smile on his face, as with a smile, elder Ana?lle placed her hand on his shoulder to check if he met the requirement.
Alex had informed Elder Ana?lle about Boras the day he found him and also shared about the condition of the Human Emperor and what his death would lead to, so if she had her own revenge planned against the elves, she should refrain from executing it until he successfully rescues the Emperor.
After spending weeks monitoring the few elves who could enter the space, Alex realized that the risk of being caught was too high, and without the help of an insider who could lead him in, there was no other way, and none besides Boras could do that job.
"I extend my profound gratitude for your assistance, and should the need arise in the future, consider me at your service to offer my aid." Elder Ana?lleerly said, a bright smile gracing her face.
"The evolution of his race will take at least six days, but I can take more time depending on how well his body adapts to the process, so he receives the best of benefits," Elder Ana?lleerly said after a small pause.
"I just got lucky," Alex said, returning the smile as he heard the system notification ring in his mind, adding a gold-grade wish to his arsenal.
Alex tapped Boras on the shoulder, bringing him back to reality, and told him about the good news before instructing him to log in and inform his family about his absences for the following two weeks.
After confirming he was not needed, Alex took his leave and returned to the elven city, repeating his daily routine, with the only other thought besides saving the Emperor in his mind being the event of Mythical Beast Continent.
Alex knew that after seven months, the Emperor was going to die or reach a state beyond recovery, and that would lead to a disaster that would take the lives of 80% of the humans, but he was unaware of how long before the disaster would come or what even the disaster would be.
Alex's best guess was that it was related to demons, and it could be that instead of letting loose the plague of Devourer Beast on the elven continent, the demons would start with the human continent.
However, it didn't matter what it was because if it was a big enough threat, Zero would surely make a move to strengthen the players as a whole, as he did in his previous life, pushing thousands into the Fourth Rank and making many talented individuals stronger, right before the Devourer Beast invasion.
Alex spent the following days repeating his daily routine, with nothing eventful happening besides the city getting decorated and many elves regularly talking about the upcoming auction.
The yearly continental Auction was less of an event and more of a small-scale festival with hundreds of thousands of attendees, with the bulk going there just to enjoy various forms of entertainment or trying to earn a fortune selling things not available on other continents.
--------------
(The Present Day)
Alex, like billions from all over the world, stopped what he was doing and shifted his gaze toward the sky as the last seconds of the year passed, and with them, the various celestial bodies aligned in a rare cosmic dance, creating various phenomenons all over the world.
The sky above the elven continent was clear, devoid of both sun and moon. The ambient light was cool, striking a delicate balance between brightness and subdued tones.
Yet moments later, waves of a kaleidoscope of colors swept through the sky, crafting a mesmerizing spectacle that painted the sky with an ever-shifting display.
The continent erupted into cheers of elves, demi-humans, and roars of beasts, all welcoming the new year, hoping for an abundance of prosperity, blessings, and pleasant days ahead.

As we embrace the dawn of another magical year, it brings us immense joy to announce that this year's much-anticipated annual auction will be held on the historical island of Euphren Isle in twenty-four hours.
Please contact your relevant authoritative entities to obtain details about the entry procedure.
------------
Alex kept his eyes fixed on the sky, seeing the sun appear, bathing everything in its boundless light and warmth, waiting to see if the second announcement he was expecting would follow suit.
Alex was happy about the event as it would strengthen the player base and give them opportunities, but it would also ring the bells of incoming chaos and destruction.
If it was up to him, he would want to push by many years or at least one year later, at the same time as it happened in his previous life, but sadly, he didn't have control over such things.
-----------
[Event?Announcement: Event of the Mythical Beast Continent]
The event will be held on a unique continent filled with wonders of the ancient world with unique challenges.
A Hundred teams, each consisting of five members, will descend upon a unique terrain, striving to claim victory by accumulating the most points throughout the month that the event will last.
The selection trial will start in twenty-four hours and last for three months. Please check the official website for insights into becoming one of the coveted 100 teams and further available details.

'So at worst, I have less than a year and at best, a bit over a year,' Alex thought, taking a deep breath before going to the official web to check if anything was different from what he knew.

Bidding System: Secure your entry through a bidding system using honor points earned through various honorable deeds recognized by the authoritative powers of the Ancient World. Seats Available (20/20).

'Rank promotion potion is available, and so is its superior version,' Alex thought, looking at the two elixirs listed at the top of the best value section, one capable of promoting a Peak Third Rank Player to the Fourth Rank and the other to the Fifth.
While Both of the elixirs only cost a thousand and ten thousand points, nothing that a decently skilled player can't earn in three months with some work, the downside was that elixirs didn't ensure a promotion.
The Fourth Rank promotion elixir only worked 30% of the time, while the Fifth Rank promotion elixir only worked 10%, yet still, they were great odds considering the price, but only if those percentages were true for everyone.
Alex had consumed the Fourth Rank promotion elixir nine times, earning it three times with his own effort and acquiring the remaining six from his two brothers, and the defeat of promised success haunted him to the day he returned in time.
Alex pushed the depressing memories aside and made his way toward the teleportation center as he needed to depart the city so he could come back to the Human continent and meet with the boys.
