Chapter 378 New Time Skills
Chapter 378 New Time Skills
Chrono Sanctuary: Envelops the user in an ethereal cloak, saving their present physical condition for 6 minutes, and when the time ends, the user condition is reverted to the saved state while the condition could also be reverted at will at any time in the 6 minutes the skill is active. This unique ability exclusively shields the physical state, excluding the Spiritual state.
The skill was broken, to say the least, as it allowed Alex to save his physical condition and revert to it at any moment in six minutes, and that meant recovery from all his exhaustion, mana used, injuries, and so on.
While it wouldn't recover him mentally or spiritually, that didn't make the skill any less valuable because, in the battle of life and death, this skill allowed him to return to his peak stage once, which was enough to change the tide of any battle.
The other two skills that were unlocked were also nothing short of valuable, and with them in his arsenal, he was as 100% sure as he could get to take on a peak Sixth Rank Light Elk.
'I can't wait to see what other broken time skills my weapon will unlock as it reaches complete restoration,' Alex thought as he looked at all three new skills.
-----------------
Paradox Pulse: Emits a pulse of temporal energy, creating temporary time loops in the surrounding area that last for 2 minutes, and any individual caught within will experience disorientation, reliving moments repeatedly until the skill ends or they break free from the effect.
----------
Chrono Displacement: After activation, every three seconds, the user at will could shift out of sync with the time and space for one second, rendering him intangible and allowing him to phase through physical or magical attacks with the state staying active for six minutes.

The mana usage was high for all three skills, especially for the third skill, but while Alex was using Ruler Pride, combined with Dragon Might, it would not pose any problem.
The cooldown of the first and second skills was six hours, with the third taking twenty-four hours, and Alex had no complaints, not with the skill or with Umbris, which felt much more alive and strong.
After the last upgrade, Alex had felt that, besides the skills becoming stronger and the edge of his blade and its ability to harness mana and other energies improving greatly, something else had also changed about it. But he couldn't understand what else had changed. However, now he understood it was his connection with the blade, and even though he didn't know how this change would help him wield his sword better, he just instinctively knew it would, and it was a strange feeling, to say the least.
Now that he had the skills, it was time to collect the three cores of the Light Elf, so without any more delay, Alex returned to the human continent before teleporting to the Elven Continent.
Now that his elven persona was gone, Alex took the persona of a dark high elf to mask his dark elements and get past the barrier surrounding the core area of the continent.
The core area of the elven continent was waste stretching for hundreds of kilometers, but Alex's destination was just a few kilometers away from the very center, in the special area of Eldoria Vale.
Besides the core area being the territory of the two Beast Emporers and three of the strongest Elven clans, the area Eldoria Vale was a special place to all of them, and they ensured that no unwanted individual could enter.
Eldoria Vale was special because it was enveloped in a rare mist generated by Eldoria butterflies, gentle and tranquil creatures exclusive to that particular expanse, stretching for a span of twenty-seven kilometers.
Anyone who absorbs the mist not only gains profound clarity of mind, but the laws of light become much more transparent to him, making it easier to understand their mysteries.
The area was open to all high elves, and a small number of clan members were selected each month by various clans, and those who were allowed by the two Beast Emperors, and people from a few special factions.
As for why elves did not discover the hidden area located in the small patch of land that hundreds of individuals visited every month, it was because no one had the key.
The key was the legacy ring of the Elven Monarch, and in his previous life, it was Boras, the player who ultimately acquired the legacy, who discovered the hidden space pocket and pool of rebirth.
--------------
It did not take long for Alex to arrive at the entrance of Eldoria Vale, which was bustling with activity as elves, high-ranking adventurers, and even a few beast kings were present.
The majority were waiting for their time to start so they could quickly enter and make the most of their given opportunity, while others were leaving or entering from two of three entrances.
As a high elf, Alex could enter without question as the barrier just before the entrance would automatically detect if he was an imposter, so without any delay, he walked into the third, mostly empty lane.
However, just as he was about to step through the barrier, a female voice called out behind him, and Alex felt a hand gently placed on his shoulder.
He turned, only to behold a breathtaking dark elf, her piercing violet eyes locked onto him that showed a mix of curiosity and suspicion, with her gentle face carrying a captivating smile.
"I am Xylena from the Draethoria Nighthaven clan," She said as she placed her hand on her chest in the way of an elven greeting.
"I am Edrith Uldrisur, a rogue adventurer," Alex replied as he scanned the cloaked female and male standing a few feet away, staring coldly at him.
"Perfect!" She exclaimed with a cheerful tone.
"My companions and I are going to hunt ten Voidshifter Specters, but we are missing a close-ranged damage dealer, so if you, sir, could be so kind as to join our team, I would genuinely appreciate it and ensure your efforts are duly rewarded," Xylena said, in her cheerful tone.
'She must hold a notable status in the Nighthaven clan to secure permission for hunting Voidshifter Specters,' Alex thought, surprised by this proposition.
The Voidshifter Specters were special creatures, and as their name suggested, they had the ability to freely enter and exit the void, and they could also turn intangible, making it extremely hard to deal with them.
Once killed, a Voidshifter Specter would leave behind just his core that held the purest of darkness, Void, and Space law in small amounts that were not very valuable for an Elemental Ruler, but for an Elementalist, it held immense value as it could help him progress much faster.
But because of this value, the Voidshifters were coveted by everyone who had those elements, which was the reason they were protected by each faction, whether Elves, Adventurers, or Beats, and they all only had a specific number for the whole year that they could hunt.
So it was extremely surprising to know that Xylena had permission to hunt ten of them, and it seemed to be more of an adventurer to her than a hard-earned opportunity.
'This should be a good opportunity to test my skill as Voidshifter Specters are much faster yet easier to deal with than the Light Elks while there is a chance that I could also gain some valuable information,' Alex thought, as he decided to join her team.
Alex had planned to hunt inside the hidden space pocket for at least a day to test all his skills before going for a Light Elk because he wanted to be familiar with his skills before he took on the behemoth of a creature who could rain down tens of light beams and incinerate hundreds of meters of land in a matter of moments.
If Alex had to make a list of creatures that were hardest to kill under Elemental Ruler grade, then Light Elks would easily make the top ten, so he would rather spend some extra time in preparation than lose and run away or outright die.
"I will give you three life essence droplets for your assistance, but only if you are of equal help as everyone else, and if not, then only one droplet would be your payment," Xylena said, her enigmatic tone revealing nothing more as her violet eyes held a hint of mystery.
"So, do we have a deal," Xylena asked after a moment of silence, and seeing Alex nod his head, her smile became brighter before she walked through the barrier with her two companions following behind.
