Chapter 348 Banquet Invitation
Chapter 348 Banquet Invitation
"I heard from Varon that the second piece, The Archaic Ring of the ancient artifact, is on the Demon Continent, and it could be in the possession of someone linked to the Demon King," Lady Elmara said, and seeing Alex nod his head in confirmation, she continued.
"How close is the ring holder to Ahrimon?"
"A Soldier," "His Wife," "Relative,"
"Relative?" Lady Elmara asked again, seeing Alex nod.
"So, The ring is bound to one of his children, and that is a big problem,"
"I can not give any more clues," Alex said after receiving the notification threatening to disable his account for a month if he crossed the line again.
"The Ring Belonging to Ahrimon Son is very bad, but it only solidifies the decision of not letting you go to the Demon Continent, at least not before you have acquired unquestionable means to escape from any harm in case things go wrong,"
"You should already know a barrier is in place that prevents the demons from leaving the continent, but it also prevents anyone from entering, with the only known way to enter the continent being a few known special means,"
"The only method of entry we trust is your Continental teleportation Skill that could make you reach any place in this world without any detection,"
"After your Ruler Athrouty reaches Fourth Rank, the cooldown time would reach Zero, and with it, the skill execution time for yourself would also be a single instant," Varon said, his friendly voice carrying an unusual weight to it.
"I believe that with some preparation, I can go in disguise, alone if possible as it best suits our purpose, and befriend the prince with the ring, and after great research and preparation, one of you guys will come with me, kill the prince, collect the ring and leave the continent the very next moment,"
"I will proceed with a proper plan, and if things don't develop as we want, then I just return without making any noise,"
"The plan could take over a year of preparation as I need to create a name, find information about the price, and then find a way to get close to the price, so it is in our best interest that we start working on it as soon as possible," Alex said, looking around the room to see everyone response.
The plan would take a lot of preparation and time to be executed, so he wanted to start preparing for it as soon as possible so that he could collect the ring in the shortest time possible.
After the promotion, Alex also had decent strength and was confident that he could roam the demon continent freely with a good disguise and knew it was also the best time to start working on his plan.
"All three Guardians would be against you going to the Demon Continent, and now that we know the ring is connected to Ahrimon in such a manner, there is no way you would go there under any circumstances,"
"Because a single mistake could mean your death and, with it, the end of Malefis Domain, and I believe you understand we can't take that Risk," Varon said, making Alex realize the possible consequences of his plan.
'I didn't see things in such an extreme way, but I knew the possibility existed,' Alex thought, calming down his emotions.
Alex wanted to help the Domain inhabitants the best he could because of how he saw them, and now that he had the means to do some good, he wanted to jump at the opportunity, even though he knew about the worst outcome of his actions he was ignoring them seeing the importance of complete artifact.
"We appreciate that you want to help, but even the complete artifact, as good as it would be, can't possibly heal everyone, not even if you reach a level of strength where you can utilize all its abilities to their fullest,"
"So, for the time being, you should just unlock the 'Space Trove' skill and expand the space pocket to 1000 x 1000 meters, which will give you enough space to heal over sixteen thousand individuals simultaneously,"
"For the max number of Mortals, it would be three days, and for Elementalists, the time needed would range from forty-five days to three hundred and sixty,"
"The best thing is that a single batch with enough important people from each clan will undoubtedly earn you their clan favor, so I suggest you get to farming those vast number of energy points needed for this operation," Lady Elmara said, giving him a calm smile.
"Now, with this conversation behind us, I have an announcement to share," Varon said, capturing the room's attention.
"Queen Bellatrix has decided to host a banquet in two weeks to celebrate Lady Cordelia's recovery, and you're the first guest of honor, just as she promised," Varon said as a crimson wooden card appeared out of thin air in his hand which he handed to Alex, and a bit surprised by the sudden reveal, he accepted the card.
The card itself was a masterpiece, a rich, regal crimson adorned with a Pitch Dark crown engraved in its center, beneath it, bold words declaring, "Domain Ruler Hidden One."
Alex felt his blood boil as his hands held the slightly cold wooden card, and his eyes were glued to the dark crown, intricately etched, that stood stark against the crimson backdrop, and the bold words added an air of authority.
As Alex opened the card, a magical symphony unfolded, as instantly, the entire room was ensconced in the comforting aroma of mind-calming essence, a fragrance that whispered of enchantment.
A familiar, ethereal voice emanated from the card that Alex recognized as belonging to Queen Bellatrix, extending a graceful invitation to him for the upcoming banquet.
It wasn't merely an invitation for Alex, but as the chief guest, he was encouraged to bring along as many companions as he desired.
As the words concluded, a mystical red aura enveloped Alex, dissipating into his being and instilling a comforting sensation, and simultaneously, a system notification chimed, revealing that he had received a Fourteen-day, 300% boost to his recovery.
'I forgot Queen Bellatrix wanted to arrange a banquet as it's been close to four months since Lady Cordelia was cured, but I suppose she aimed for something truly special to take such time.' Alex thought, but Varon's following words cleared Queen Bellatrix's intentions.
"Queen Bellatrix purposely delayed the arrangement, waiting for an opportune moment, as she wanted you, her daughter's savior, to be there and knowing it would be your first public appearance before a vast number of influential individuals, she wanted it to be in an atmosphere of respect and recognition."
"Respect not just due to your position but as an acknowledgment of your strength as an individual, which was why she waited for you to advance to the Elementalist Stage," Varon said, surprising Alex once more.
"I will certainly need to express my gratitude for her thoughtfulness." Alex nodded, acknowledging the depth of Queen Bellatrix's consideration
"I also believe that the banquet would provide the best stage for you to announce that you have found a cure for the Devourer Curse and also exchange some details about the number of people that could be cured."
"We can't hide it so revealing it is the optimal choice, and with the added news of millions of Immortal adventurers flooding the domain in the following months, all thanks to you would serve to establish a good image of you among everyone," Varon commented and was about to say some more, but he was interrupted by Lady Elmara.
"Save your discussions for when you're outside my laboratory because it's time for you all to leave. I have a mountain of work awaiting my focus, and I don't need all of you buzzing around," Lady Elmara said, with all her focus on various runes floating around her numbering in hundreds.
Varon opened a portal that took Alex and everyone to the main door of the treasury, and moments later, he was standing next to a mountain of epic-grade treasures, turning them into energy points.
After making some calculations according to the increased speed of material turning to energy points, Alex sent a message to Alden to tell all the leaders to meet at the dwarven hotel in exactly twenty-four hours, as the time to close the deal has come.
Alex also contacted Venedikt and informed him of his plan, and even though he had a bit to exchange with him, ask about the rapid development of the organization and, more than everything, ask him about his legacy, but he decided these things would be better discussed in person.
