Chapter 337 Results (II)
The mage was shocked, like everyone else, by Alex's wild display of strength and how easily he took one of them out, so without hesitation, he went all out from the start, not making the same mistake the archer did.
Alex felt his surroundings get dense as the air felt like a thick, viscous liquid, and the surrounding space caved in on him as gravity forced him to halt his advance and land on the ground.
The tens of meters of land with the mage as the center cracked apart as chunks of earth flew up with the dense gravity not affecting them and without a second of delay, tens of towering boulders and hundreds of fragments of rocks propelled by a wave of gravity moved toward Alex.
Alex kept his calm as he sensed no other individual approaching, knowing they wanted to see what he was capable of, and that was exactly how he wanted things to go.
Alex cloaked his wings in chaotic energy, building and concentrating it on the edges, and as the rocks and boulders came zooming in on his, he moved them forward in the sink and, at the point of contact of both wings, released his control over the build-up energy.
The energy was released in the form of a curved, jagged dark wave that quickly swelled in size as it moved forward as a chaotic pulse wave at an astonishing speed, disrupting and disorienting everything in its path.
The chaotic wave met with the dense gravitational wave, making the boulders and rocks toss and spin, creating a chaotic ballet of destruction as both forces contest for dominance.
Alex created a field of chaos around him as he moved forward to counter gravity's effect and stay prepared for any attack, and as he got closer to the twisted energies, he forcefully made a way using tendrils of chaos.
As Alex created a way forward, an impact happened just before him, instantly creating a small field around him that made the surrounding gravity vanish completely.
It was followed by a silent hum from the dark sphere suspended a few feet before him, exerting an intense pull toward itself while dark stone manifested out of thin air and morphed into spikes numbering in hundreds.
Alex used the air walk to create solid footings and used his wings and sword to push through the barrage of stone spikes while using the tendrils of chaotic energy to trigger the sphere of condensed gravity littering his path.
Alex cloaked his sword in the darkness and sliced through the sphere of gravity suspended in his path before cloaking it with tendrils of chaos to suppress the aftermath of the gravity collapse.
Alex followed by sending weak energy slashes toward the mage, who kept floating back, keeping a safe distance while the sphere of dense gravity around him deflected any attack that reached him.
Alex kept throwing slashes while avoiding any attacks himself, and from the outsiders' perspective, it seemed a useless chase that would make the mage the ultimate winner, but it was far from that.
Alex had tens of ways to get close to the mage and end his life, but that would not only burn through his limited time but also waste a good opportunity.
'Chaos Prison'
Alex came to a halt, and meeting his gaze with the mage, he smiled as he controlled the tendrils of chaos traveling inside the ground to move out and take a form.
A tendril erupted from the ground and moved at astonishing speed toward the mage, and as it approached closer, it was deflected because of the gravity bubble protecting him.
But before he could even scoff at the futile attempt, hundreds of tendrils came out from the ground, surrounding the surprised mage from every direction, moving rapidly toward the sky.
The mage tried to escape through the only route left to him, the sky, but to his dismay, Alex was waiting there, his sword pulsing in energy and ready to slash.
'I would have liked to see the dragonkin and the panda, but they will do just fine,' Alex thought as he slashed his sword.
The sword slash was met with two energy golden energy slashes, and the collision resulted in the two slashes getting sliced through, but it was enough to slow down the sword slash momentum to be stopped by the gravity barrier around the mage.
"I knew you were not a nobody, and my first guess was that you were a young master from the Noble house of Moreberet,"
"But After seeing that you are capable of wielding two elemental manipulations and doing so on such a level while being just a Mortal, I believe I have a pretty confident guess of who you are,"
"You are the new Domain Ruler," The golden beastmen wielding two sickles said with a smile as he met Alex's gaze.
Alex kept silent as he observed the surroundings to see if there was anyone else besides the mage, the merfolk, and the golden panther beastmen, and seeing one coming, he shifted his focus back to the opponent before him.
"I was trying to see what type of individual you are before I killed you, but it looks like you're the silent type," The beastmen said, his aura and bloodlust going wild as he vanished from his location, appearing before Alex, his sickle zooming to claim his head.
Alex vanished, appearing before the merfolk, who stood ready to defend, and so did the mage, who looked a little angry after being lured into a trap.
Alex used the small number of chaos tendrils he kept control over to defend against the attacks from the mage as he pushed toward the merfolk while he waited for the perfect opportunity.
"I would give credit that you are the strongest moral I have seen, but You overestimated your ability by far too much if you think you can fight ten individuals like us," The panther said as his sickle sliced through tendrils that Alex used to hinder his advance.
'Soul Pulse'
Alex smiled as he sensed all three targets in the thirty-meter radius, and without a moment's delay, he released the condensed soul energy he was holding from the moment he killed the archer as a resonating wave that radiated outward in all directions.
A wave of invisible energy naked to the eyes was released with Alex as the center, and in an instant, it traveled fifty meters before dissipating, phasing through all three individuals who, in a moment, felt the damage.
All three individuals who held vigilance in their eyes, ready for any attack as they prepared their own, felt an invisible danger plunging into their minds, a headache so intense they dropped their weapons and clasped their heads with both hands and screamed at the top of their lungs.
Alex moved like a phantom, his sword slicing through the neck of the mage and merfolk in an instant before stopping before the golden planter, who was on his knees, digging his claws into his own skin.
"You Talk too much," Alex said as he claimed the head of the fourth individual.
