Chapter 265 Working on Mana Veins

Chapter 265 Working on Mana Veins

Alex decided to buy all these potions in great quantity while having also picked every one of these potion recipes to make his organization self-sufficient.

Alex also picked the potions and recipes of various rarer potions, namely the Elemental Enrichment Elixir, which temporarily boosted the ability to wield mana.

Titan's Endurance Elixir, which raised defense, Draught of Mental Focus, which sharpened mental acuity and focus; and Rageforge Elixir, which boosted physical strength by making the user experience intense rage.

The few potion recipes Alex wanted but could not take at the moment were the Elixir of Vital Renewal, Titan's Fury Brew, Potion of Arcane Dominion, and Elixir of Cognitive Lucidity.

All four of these potions were of Unique quality except the Elixir of Vital Renewal, which was of legendary grade and every potion required unique material rarely available in the market, but their use case was also only needed in certain situations, except the Elixir of Vital Renewal.

The Elixir of Vital Renewal recovered 50K health, mana, and a portion of stamina every second for 60 seconds while also removing any physical negative conditions, with a meager cooldown of just six minutes.

This meant that in just 60 seconds, the potion recovered 3 million in health, mana, and stamina, which was enough to recover any Fifth Rank warrior to his peak condition and return a sixth Rank warrior back to a healthy condition.

The materials needed to brew the potion were really pricey, even though they were easily available with the expectation of the main ingredient (Verdant Essence Orchid), which was only found on the elven continent.

The main ingredient (Verdant Essence Orchid) was a legendary and elusive ingredient that was known to bloom only under the rare alignment of natural events (the Equinox of the Green Moon), which happened once every year, and the bloomed Orchid needed to be harvested within twenty-four hours.

However, getting the Orchid was not a problem for Alex because it was available for sale in the Ruler shop for two thousand Ruler coins.

Alex's sole challenge revolved around locating a King-grade Alchemist open to concocting the potion for him. At present, besides the enigmatic shop owner or an individual hailing from the Malefis Domain, Alex was unfamiliar with any high-grade alchemists he could connect with.

Alex wanted the potion for his organization members because he knew it would greatly enhance their capabilities and give them a significant advantage in battles and challenges.

While the remaining three potions were not as universally useful as the Elixir of Vital Renewal, they were still extremely useful and, if Titan's Fury Brew was a potion that harnessed the primal power of anger and channeled it into physical strength, increasing all readily available to an organization, could boost their strength significantly.

Titan's Fury Brew was a potion that harnessed the primal power of anger and channeled it into physical strength, increasing all physical stats of the user by 300% for two minutes.

Potion of Arcane Dominion was a concoction that temporarily increased the user's control over mana and their element, which not only acted similarly to a rage boost for the mages boosting their spell casting and power but also allowed any individuals to learn to have better control over his mana and element.

Elixir of Cognitive Lucidity was a potion designed to heighten mental clarity, focus, and perception, which will help an individual learn stronger skills faster, but it also could immensely help a person on a battlefield or in n intense battle.

'I will acquire some of the rare potions and alchemy recipes I know about before visiting this place to acquire these four potion recipes in the near future,' Alex thought as he made his back to Elder Eloria.

Returning to Elder Eloria, Alex told her about the potions and recipes he desired, and with a nod, the elven lady's form faded like a wisp, only to reappear moments later holding a small, intricately designed space ring.

"Adventurer, your chosen items amount to 11 million gold coins," Elder Eloria said, her voice carrying a soothing and gentle tone.

Alex produced a space ring from his pocket and handed it to Elder Eloria, containing the exact sum, which she accepted with a gracious smile.

Before Alex could say a few words of appreciation and leave, as there was nothing more he wanted, Elder Eloria spoke, which took him by surprise.

"Before you leave, I want one more thing from you. Take a Law oath that you won't reveal the location of this shop to anyone." Elder Eloria said.

'If she makes all her customers take such a Law oath, then this explains why there was not much information about her shop, even with players knowing its existence.' Alex thought as he took the law oath.

"Young one, should you require anything pertaining to alchemy, my abode is always open to you," Elder Eloria remarked with a gracious smile.

"Elder, I will pay you another visit soon, and hopefully, I will bring alchemical treasures that might pique your interest," Alex said with a respectful nod.

Alex left the shop and covered the entrance with rubble as he found it, preserving its secrecy, and minutes later, he was back on the streets of Nigth market as he made his way out of it.

As there were still close to fifteen hours before Alex planned to meet Thogrim, Alex went to the hotel with a plan to work on his mana veins, the very first step he needed to complete to get promoted to the fourth Rank.

Alex had the past life experience with creating mana veins, and with his fine control over his mana with the added help from the two elixirs he prepared, he was confident he could complete the first steps in a few days.

Alex laid down on the bed to relax his body from any fatigue he had built up and empty his mind of any unnecessary thoughts because working on mana veins would require utmost focus, as a single mistake would make him start from scratch.

Mana veins were an intricate network of thin elemental veins, built completely from the user element, alongside the circulatory system, all connected to the heart.

They enabled smoother and much faster mana circulation, allowing mana to be utilized more effectively, but until the fourth Rank promotion, they stayed dormant.

Individuals up to the Third Rank utilized their regular circulatory system of veins and blood vessels to move mana through their bodies, while the heart, refined with mana at the very first Rank promotion, acted as a mana vessel, pumping mana throughout the body.

But after the fourth Rank promotion, an individual body goes through changes, and mana veins were the key to said changes.

Upon the promotion to the fourth Rank, an individual's body experiences a transformation under the influence of his elemental flame, his physique will be refined, and strength will be pushed past the limits of a mortal.

But the greatest change is experienced by the heart as it transforms, evolving to feature eight chambers, twice the number of a typical human heart, tranformaing into a Mana heart.

Among these chambers, four are dedicated to pumping blood, while the remaining four serve the purpose of propelling pure mana throughout the body.

The normal circulatory system remained reserved for blood, while the newly formed mana veins took on the responsibility of mana circulation.
