Chapter 255 Guilds For The Clutch
"Yep, We will be using the legendary invisibility potions we recently bought from the Ugly Merchant guild when we enter the fortress to buy us a few seconds of safety," Mike said with a broad smile.
"The plan is extremely risky and will cost us a fortune, but this is the only way we can do something to that damm fortress," Mike said, and in turn, Vlad smiled and permitted him to start the plan.
Mike swiftly went to work and gathered the guild members he selected for his daring mission, choosing a small team of highly skilled and versatile individuals.
While Mike explained the plan to his guild members and worked on the finer details, the frozen flower guild was also preparing to execute a plan to earn themselves some reputation.
-------------------
Inside the hotel room, Guild Master Aster stood before a group of her guild members, with Elder Rosalba and Lluvia by her side.
"Our mission is to infiltrate the teleportation center currently under the control of the human traitors and demons to shut down the teleportation array." Guild Master Aster said, her voice steady and composed.
"The plan involves a multi-faceted approach. First, a team led by me and Lluvia will create a diversion by engaging the demons guarding the teleportation center building in a head-on attack."
"Our main goal will be to create as much chaos as possible to attract as many strong demons and traitors outside as possible and then keep them busy for long enough, creating an opportunity for big sis,"
"While the demons are distracted, Big Sis with her team will infiltrate the building after using the invisibility and intangibility potions and navigate their way to the underground chamber that holds the main teleportation array,"
"Big Sis will use the magic scrolls to handle the remainder of the demons guarding the chamber before starting to work on shutting down the teleportation array," Guild Master Aster said, and then she started explaining the finer details of her plan.
Lady Rosalba moved to the side with her team of three and started discussing the finer details of their roles and responsibilities, ensuring that every step was well-coordinated and synchronized, knowing a single mistake could cost them the whole mission.
As Lady Rosalba and her team strategized, Guild Master Aster addressed the high-ranking members of the Frozen Flower guild who had gathered before her about their roles.
Her voice carried authority as she detailed their tasks with precision and clarity, and minutes later, the plan was laid out, and the roles were assigned.
The high-ranking guild members moved according to orders preparing for the impending cash, and minutes later, thousands of members equipped with various weaponry were gathered near the teleportation center.
The frozen flower guild's forces started their assault facing against the horde of demons as they used Earth cannons launching metal balls infused with various elements, creating explosive bursts upon impact.
In mere minutes the area around the towering teleportation building became a chaotic battlefield, with the building in the surrounding turning to ruble as high-ranking demons rained down destructive attacks.
The frozen flower guild was getting completely dominated by the few hundred demons as their majority third Rank players died by dozens with every passing moment, their weaponry getting crushed.
The earth golems were deployed, their massive forms smashing into the strongest of demons as they took the full brut of their attacks, leaving trails of destruction in their wake.
Aster and Lluvia, at the forefront of the battle, commanded the assault with strategic precision, and with their combined efforts, they were able to kill various weaker demons minutes into the battle.
The frozen flower guild members were dying much faster than the demons, but their numbers were only growing higher as minutes went by as more members rushed to join the clash.
The overwhelming number of players started to put a strain on even the stronger demons, and slowly, more and more demons and tractors left the building to put an end to the battle.
As demons and traitors swarmed towards the chaos, Lady Rosalba's team seized the opportunity, and being invisible, they entered the building and swiftly navigated their way to the underground chamber.
Their plan worked perfectly, as after reaching the underground chamber, Lady Rosalba used the unranked illusion scroll and successfully placed the two traitor humans guarding the chamber in a state of sleep.
Lady Rosalba acted swiftly and destroyed the protective barrier before taking out the tens of giant mana crystals, essentially cutting the energy source for the space array.
The method was crude and would have damaged many of the runes inside the chamber, but it worked its charm, and the space disruption field was gone making their plan a complete success.
While the frozen flower guild faced no problem executing their plan, the Chosen Champion Guild faced one problem after the other as they struggled even to put their plan into motion.
-------------------------
"Mike, you take Azriel and Eremiel with you and start the plan. I will handle these fuckers," Vlad roared, his eyes filled with rage as he swung his spear around, clashing against a hulking fiend demon.
Vlad was in his titan form, his towering figure reaching twelve feet in height and covered in muscles pulsing with vitality, while his surroundings were chaotic as tens of his guild members clashed against a group of demons.
'I don't know if I should curse my luck or be thrilled with it,' Mike thought as he sprinted, followed by two individuals as he remembered how he got his guild mate into this mess.
Vlad, accompanied by Mike and a group of his guild members, had arrived at the city's core near the palace, where it was complete chaos as royal guards clashed against hordes of demons.
Vlad and his group reached as close to the fortress as possible before Mike took out a dark scroll and activated it, and while the scroll slowly came to life, the group stood and watched the chaos before their eyes.
The luxury core area of the city was ruins, and many noble houses were destroyed and turned to rubble, while the white snow-covered streets were filled with blooded corpses of humans and demons alike.
The grand palace of the royalty stood unblamed, but that was about to change very quickly because the barrier protecting it was covered in cracks and would be destroyed by a single good attack.
The Soulreaver cannon of the demon fortress was preparing just that attack, as its massive cannon pulsed with dark energy.
Mike held the scroll as it crumbled to dust, and moments later, a tear in space appeared before him while the second one appeared in the distance, right before the barrier protecting the palace.
Mike, with every person beside him, felt their soul leave their bodies, and without saying a word, they sprinted in various directions at their top speed and moments later heard a massive explosion.
The canon launched its attack, and every demon and human watched in astonishment as the large tear in space devoured the dark beam like thin air, and before someone could even imagine where the energy beam went, a massive explosion occurred amidst the noble houses.
A mushroom cloud rose to hundreds of feet high as every head spun to look at it, and while the humans signed in relief at getting saved, the demon caused anger as their eyes roamed the chaotic battlefield to look for the culprit.
Vald, Mike, and his whole gang survived the explosion, having gotten away in time and felt thrilled, knowing that they had unintentionally saved the royalty, but their happiness quickly vanished as a group of demons saw them and, without a second wasted, sprinted toward them, engaging them in a battle.
Mike sprinted as he chugged down an invisibility potion while his eyes roamed to find a safe place away from the demon's sight, hoping that at least one of the two remaining scrolls could work as he wanted.
