Chapter 138 Selecting Class
----------------
Legacy Promotion Quest Progress:
?-First Rank Elite Monsters. (50/50)+242
?-First Rank Rare Elite. (20/20)+83
?-Second Rank Epic (Or above) Monsters. (10/10)+41
Remaining Time: 1 Minute 43 seconds.
Complete Quest: Yes/No
[Important Note: The designated rewards for the hard difficulty won't be changed in any way, even if the user ends the promotion quest at the last second.]
----------------
In the last twelve hours, Alex had hunted any creature of First and Second Rank he could find, and as he wasn't explicitly searching for just Named creatures like before, the amount of beast he had massacred were in the hundreds.
Alex didn't know if the quality or quantity of the killed creatures would have any effect on his reward, but he chose the option of quantity as the promotion quest didn't have any condition.
Alex wanted to achieve the best possible results, and to achieve his goal, he took the help of his shadow guardians, which was why he was able to kill such a ridiculous amount of creatures in just a little over twelve hours.
Lady Margaret took the role of finding the area with the most number of monsters and made sure that no abnormal monsters like the Yeti were among them, and then Darrien teleported Alex to that location, and just like that, his last twelve hours were spent.
'Let's just hope the rewards will be worth the effect.' Alex thought as he clicked yes to complete the promotion quest.

'I never heard of any Legacy Holder receiving more than 7K skill points, let alone more than 15K.' Alex thought, shocked by the number of skill points.
The skill points were given to all legacy holders after clearing a legacy rank promotion quest, and as their name, they could be used to select new skills or upgrade their existing ones.
The choice to select their skills and upgrade the existing class skill was only available to legacy holders, giving them way more freedom than all the other players.
'I lost a thousand skill points for getting help, but the gains outweigh the loss massively.' Alex thought as he proceeded to class selection.

'I would like to have an army of undead while having my magical and physical capabilities, but the Eldritch Knight will limit my element to just death element, which is very restricting compared to having full control over all aspects of the darkness element.'
The darkness element was the root of all dark aspects, and with darkness mana, all dark aspect skills/spells could be executed.
The only downside of using darkness mana to execute other dark element skills/spells was that they consumed more mana than normal while doing less damage than the original skills.
'The Runic Berserker is also a good class, but it's just not made for me, while Dark BattleMage is just the upgraded version of normal battle mage.' Alex thought, contemplating his decision.
'I am certain that in the future, the limitation on the Eldritch Knight will be gone as it advances through the Ranks, but the main issue is that it is a necromancer base class meaning most of the skill will be related to the undead, and death in general even in the later stages.'
'The Dark BattleMage is the most neutral class and fits my playstyle, so let's go with it, but just to be certain, I should discuss it with my shadow guardians.' Alex thought, making his decision after thinking for a few minutes.
Alex understood that no matter which class he chose, his future advancement would eventually lead to the main legacy class (Darkness Ruler), but what attribute he would have in the end would be determined by his choices.
----------------------
"Domain Ruler, I have sealed this chamber. You can start your Rank promotion." Darrien said.
Alex was back in the training chamber, ready to accept his reward and complete the first Rank promotion.
Alex had a discussion with his shadow guardians and learned a lot about all three available classes, and they both recommended him to take the Dark BattleMage as his first advancement class.
'I wonder how many skills I can get with my 15K skill points.' Alex thought as he accepted the promotion reward.'
Alex's sight went blank as he lost consciousness, and then a cocoon of pitch darkness slowly materialized around that started to gradually absorb the rich mana present in the training chamber.
After more than two hours passed, the cocoon of darkness that was absorbing mana like a hungry beast slowed down its devouring speed, and in the next few minutes, it was slowly absorbed into Alex's body.

Alex's head rang with a notification as he regained consciousness.
'I think I was too tired from all the hunting to feel this good after the Rank promotion.' Alex thought as he stretched his body.
'Let's select the skills.' Alex thought as he clicked on the system notification.

'These common skills are just a waste of time to look through.' Alex thought after checking tens of skills, hardly finding any useful skill that he couldn't learn from a skill book.
'I hope the unique skill section has some good skills stored for me.' Alex thought as he opened the second skill section.

'What the hell are these ridicules prices of these unique skills.' Alex thought as he checked the small quantity of available unique skills.
The available common skills for the darkness and battle-oriented section were close to thirty in both sections, with a little over ten skills in each sub-element section, but the unique section had very few skills, with each being ridiculously priced.
'The unique skills might be high priced, but each one is a treasure in its own right.' Alex thought after checking the detailed stats of a few of the available skills.
'I thought I would struggle to spend my 15.6_K skill points on good skills, but now I regret not having more skill points to spend.' Alex thought with a wary smile as he felt anxious about selecting skills.
The (I) sign in front of each unique skill indicates that they could be upgraded to a higher Rank after Alex reaches the second Rank, even though it will cost him Skill points.
All the available skills were just First Rank, including the unique skills, but each unique skill was special, and even though Alex knew about a few of them but he had no clue how to acquire them without the help of the system.
"Elder Darrien, I need your help in selecting the best skills," Alex said as he made the system screen visible.
