Chapter 703: Clair and Ava

After a few weeks, Axel was now ready to challenge the gym. Squirtle and 3 Magenton had to say their goodbyes to their home and to their friends. Red was also ready to meet with his son and have some vacation time.

It took some time for Axel and the team but now he believed that there was no way that he would lose the gym battle. He had made some extra preparations.

The plane ride was uneventful and also very boring but now he was finally in Goldenrod City. Frank wanted to spend some time with his family, so he went there. So, Axel was all alone with his Pokemons.

Goldenrod City was called \'Goldenrod\' because all the roofs of all the buildings were golden in color. There was no reason for it but the mayor had made a law regarding it. The left side of the city was covered in the sea while the right side was covered in forest.

Axel could even tell that the streets and paved roads of the city were of very high quality. Even the place and corners of the city were spotlessly clean and everything looked very expensive and branded.

This might be the richest city that Axel had ever seen in his life. It was filled with luxury. Axel took half an hour to admire the view and scenery of the city and finally, he went to a hotel to book a room.

This was one of the most expensive hotels in the city and the place was like a dream. The colors, tiles, and interiors of the hotel screamed that it was filled with history and a lot of concepts and theories. The architect of the hotel must be very talented as Axel just could not get his eyes off it.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?", asked the receptionist with a polite smile.

The receptionist was really a beautiful woman. She was in her mid-20s and had a flawless red hair. It looked like she paid a lot of attention to her hair. She had red eyebrows, red lips, the cutest nose, and blue eyes. She was very busty as the half-white top looked like it was struggling to keep her boobs in control. Her light brown pants were up to her navel and each of her steps would giggle her boobs.

"Yes, hello Miss Ginger. I actually wanted to book a room for a couple of days.", said Axel.

"Oh, then you are in the right place. We have a Deluxe room, a superior room, a Family suite, and of course, a presidential suite. Which room would you like to book?"

"Deluxe room."

"Ok, I am booking 1 room for Mr...."

"Axel, Axel Blaze."

"Yes, so how many days would you be staying with us?"

"2 days at least but could me more."

"OK, please give me your Pokecard so that I can verify your identity."

Ginger also went on to tell the price of the Deluxe room. When he heard the price of a Deluxe room, he immediately wanted to book another hotel. The price was too high for just 2 days of stay. But now he didn\'t want to feel embarrassed in front of such a beautiful girl.

Maybe the hotel appointed her for the very same reason.

"Mr. Axel, he will show you the room and if you are not interested in it, we can also change it.", said Ginger as Axel paid for the rooms.

Axel went to the hotel and lit up a cigarette. Since he was going to challenge the gym leader the day after tomorrow, the city was already filled with lots of tourists.

Axel had become very famous since his battle against Roy Falkner and this time was also no different.

So, a lot of people from various parts of the world were coming to see this battle. Whitney family was earning a lot in this.

Axel just ordered some food for himself and told the hotel staff that it should be ready in 30 minutes. He cannot eat in the room as he would have to also feed his Pokemons.

So, after 50 minutes, Axel went towards one of the biggest halls of the hotel. The hall was opened to the garden and this was where trainers could feed their Pokemons.

Axel called out every Pokemons in order. The new Pokemons were excited to see a different place and started to run around and explore it. The older Pokemons were already used to such a thing. So, they just sat near Axel and started to eat.

Meanwhile, other customers including the hotel staff were surprised to see the lineup of Axel\'s Pokemons. There were of various kinds and of various ranks. Some of the experienced trainers were surprised to see king-rank Pokemons with Axel.

Axel was already used to such stares, so he didn\'t mind. He just went on with his own business.

"Hey, which hotel are you in?"

"I don\'t know. Let me see the name of it.", said Axel with a sleepy face rubbing his eyes.

"Oh, come to XXXX location. I will be in the lobby.", said Axel and cut the phone. He went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

By the time Axel reached the lobby, Clair was already there waiting for him.

Tomorrow was the day of the gym battle and today he wanted to explore the place, so he had called Clair to catch up.

"Wohh, you have changed since the last time I met you.", remarked Clair.

"Really? How so?"

"You look a lot more powerful than before.", said Clair.

"Maybe you are right. I have been training a lot."

After a brief introduction and some talking, Clair went on to show the city to Axel. It was not too sunny. In fact, it looked like it was going to rain, so the temperature was very cool. This was the perfect time to go sightseeing.

It took around 3 hours and Clair was finally able to show Axel some of the major places of the city. After walking for 3 hours, Axel was getting hungry.

"At last, why don\'t we go to my house and eat something.", offered Clair and Axel didn\'t mind.

After walking for a few minutes, they reached the right side of the city where forests were seen. Axel could see a huge gate. He could not tell what the gate was made of but it looked very sturdy. There were walls that covered the whole area and Axel could not even see the end of it.

"So, this is your home?", asked Axel.

"Yes,"

"Your home is very big."

"Haha, of course. We are one of the richest families in the whole wide world.", said Clair as the guards opened the gate. The guards had already recognized Clair. They saw a new face but they were not so worried as Clair said that he was her friend.

"Come on, first let me show you the restaurants and the dairy farm.", said Clair.

Axel and Clair went on to see some lavish restaurants and also a dairy farm. Clair offered a milk product that he had never heard of but it tasted heavenly.

"Wow, it tastes very good. How did you guys make it?", asked Axel. He had tasted a lot of Miltank milk but this was the most delicious one.

"It is of course due to our Miltanks. We also have a secret and I am not going to tell you.", said Clair with a mischievous smile.

Axel didn\'t care about it as he knew that these kinds of secrets should not be told to an outsider.

Since Axel and Clair were hungry after their trip, they went to the restaurant. Axel could see that all the foods were also somehow related to dairy and none of them were non-veg foods.

"Just try it. You will love it. Let me select one for you.", said Clair as she started to select some dishes for Axel and herself.

Clair was right. It was very delicious. He just could not believe that the Whitney family was able to create so many dishes based on Miltank milk.

"Clair, why are you so excited today? Did something happen?", asked Axel.

He had met Clair before and she was such kind of bubbly person. Today she was acting really different.

"Yes, something good will happen soon."

"Oh, what is going to happen?"

"I cannot tell you that. It is related to you.", said Clair.

"Then you will have to tell me.", said Axel.

After some pestering, Clair finally gave in.

"My cousin said that if you won the gym battle in your first try, then she would let me be the gym leader of rare ranks and elemental ranks for 3 months.", said Clair.

"You also want to be a gym leader?", asked Clair.

"Yes, I also want to be a gym leader but my cousin is so strong. I don\'t even have a king-rank Pokemon.", sighed Clair.

"Wait, if you made the bet, doesn\'t that mean that your cousin would give her all in the battle?"

"Yes, she would. But don\'t worry. Even if the bet was not made, she would have given her all.", said Clair with a smile.

Axel didn\'t believe that at all. The difficulty of the gym battle had increased due to Clair and now he should be extra careful.

After eating, Clair and Axel decided to visit the Miltank farm that the Whitney family was so proud of.

The farm was very big. Axel could not see the end of it. There were many Miltanks to count and all of them looked happy. Some of them were gazing at the field while some of them were using Rollout to dig the fields.

Axel was surprised to see the scale of it. It was way too big for his imagination. Acres and acres were filled with Miltank and the farm. There were also a lot of vegetables and berries that were being grown. It was correct to say that the Whitney family was one of the richest families in the entire world.

Axel also saw how the Miltanks were being milked and it looked very professional with all the machines that were easing the process. There were a lot of helpers that were helping Miltank.

"I must say, this is like an eye-opener. The place is too big and this is only one of the farms that you guys have.", said Axel.

"Of course, we are not called the richest family for nothing.", said Clair.

"Oh, it looks like you are in luck today.", said Clair suddenly while looking a bit far away.

Axel followed her gaze and saw a woman walking towards them. The woman looked like an older version of Clair. She had long legs, pink reddish hair, and was wearing jeans and shorts. Axel immediately recognized the woman as he had seen her multiple times on TV and internet.

"Hello, Axel. I didn\'t think that I would be meeting you here. What a nice surprise.", said the woman.

"Yes, it is a nice surprise, Ava.", said Axel.

He didn\'t expect to meet the current gym leader of Goldenrod City here.
