(Level 60): The stamina consumption has been reduced.
Horn Leech (Gogoat): (Level 40): Now, the user would recover 50% of the health drained. That was a massive increase and the power of the attack had also become more devastating.
(Level 45): the user could recover 60% of the health drained. The power of the move has increased.
(Level 50): The power of the move has increased and could cause a piercing effect.
Solar beam (Gogoat): (Level 40): 'Solar beam' was also faster than before.

"I saw Freta. I didn't know if it was my imagination or not but I believe that really was Freta. She was acting exactly as I imagined her to be. She said that I had been thinking about the past for far too long and it was time for me to live in the present. It was time for me to forget what happened that day and live on my life.
Then she put her hand on top of my head and I felt relieved. I have never felt such a feeling in a long time. It was like she was taking all the pain away from me. Then she smiled and then disappeared.
When I woke up, I found out that I was ranking up and I had gotten incredibly strong. I felt that something was pinning down on me for the longest time and now it had got out. I felt stronger."
Axel didn't know if that really was Freta but he was relieved that Gogoat had moved on finally.

Axel told Feraligatr that it was not fighting in the tournament as the Pokemons were very high level. Feraligatr didn't want to listen to Axel but after getting a lot of lectures from Axel and then from Gogoat, it agreed. It just had to get stronger.
Axel and Pidgeot were training on a new move. A move that might be its ace but it was very hard to comprehend. Pidgeot was just going to learn this move and it was very close. But it was not happening. Axel hoped that it would learn it before the start of the battle tomorrow.

Next day,
It was now time for the quarter-finals. Everyone was excited and the announcer was doing a good job. Axel was in the waiting room. His fight was at last and he was supposed to fight a guy named Ren.
Just like before, Axel didn't look at the battles of Ren and what Pokemon he used. He wanted to be surprised and it would also be good training for him.
"Hey Axel, over here.", shouted a girly voice as Axel turned to see that it was Mia.
Mia was the only participant that Axel had talked to before. She was a friendly girl and seeing that she was in the quarterfinals, she was also very capable.
Axel greeted her and asked how her battle went.
"You didn't see my battle?"
"No, I didn't see anyone's battle. I wanted to be surprised."
"Then, I will surprise you in the finals."
Mia complemented his Gogoat and asked if it was going to fight the next battle. Axel swiftly refused saying that Gogoat didn't normally battle as it loved to sleep and rest.
"You are not going to be stupid again and use an uncommon rank Pokemon, are you?", asked Mia.
"No, I have learned my mistake. I just wanted my young ones to experience some battle but it looks like it is too much for them."

"Since, I have not seen any battles, who do you think would win?", asked Axel.
"Most of us have not used our best Pokemon yet. So, it is hard to tell but I believe that I will win.", replied Mia.
"Really? You are that confident?"
"Yes, my best Pokemon can easily beat your Gogoat.", said Mia with a smile.
"Oh, you are in for a hell of a realization if you think that my best Pokemon is Gogoat.", smirked Axel.
Axel could see a rivalry growing in Mia's eyes. He was surprised to see that she was so competitive. Except for the league battle, Axel had not shown the power of his Pokemons. There was a rumor that Axel had a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon but that was just a rumor.
"Oh, I know you have other Pokemons. But if I cannot even believe myself, then what is the reason for participating in this tournament."
"True that. I hope that you give me a challenge in the finals if you do reach there.", said Axel.
Axel looked and found out that if Axel won all the battles and Mia won all the battles, then both of them would compete in the finals.
"Don't worry, you will not be disappointed. Oh, it looks like my turn is going to come. See you on the other side.", said Mia waving her hand and running towards the stadium.
Just for the sake of it, Axel turned off the TV and didn't see her battle. He wanted it to be a surprise.
After half an hour of waiting, Axel's turn also came. He slowly walked towards the stadium. The crowd was going bonkers after seeing him. His previous battle showed how overwhelmingly powerful he really was. He looked around and waved his hand to the crowd.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final match of the quarter-finals but that doesn't mean it is going to be boring. On the contrary, it might be the most interesting match we will be seeing today. On the right side, we have Ren."
The crowd cheered for Ren. Ren had done a lot to reach this stage and the crowd loved it.
"On the left side, we have Axel."
The crowd cheered again and this time the cheers were much higher than before. Axel was the crowd favorite.
The referee came and did the toss. Fortunately, Axel lost this time too. He had to call out his Pokemon first.
"Come out, Flappy!!!", said Axel as Pidgeot emerged. It did some manurers on the air and got ready for battle.
"Come out, Fearow!!", shouted Ren and Fearow came out.
"The battle just got interesting. Both of them are normal/flying-type Pokemons from the Kanto region and both of them are in pseudo-king rank. Fearow normally focuses on its beak and its exploding power while Pidgeot focuses on speed.....", the announcer started to make his comments.
If one were to look at their abilities and hidden abilities, Fearow was powerful as it had 'Sniper' which would increase the power of critical hits. However, abilities and hidden abilities were not the only thing that determined the battle.
Axel became curious about Fearow. He had battled one before and it was a powerful Pokemon but he wanted to see its stats first before saying anything.
