Chapter 542: The Battle continues

When Gyarados was hit by 'Confusion', it felt that something had changed. It looked at the river and then Slowpoke. They were still there but it could tell that something had changed.

Slowpoke was just standing there and it was not doing anything. It looked like Slowpoke was preparing an overpowered move as its eyes were shining in purple.

Gyarados didn't realize that it was already an illusion. If it had not ranked up to tier 2 and its mental health was still solid, it would have found out that it was in the illusion. Slowpoke had trained in illusion, trying to make everything normal inside the illusion except for the parts that it wanted to change. In spite of that, it had not been able to master it. So, Gyarados could tell the difference if it had not ranked up just now.

However, it had just ranked up and it could not tell the difference. It looked at Slowpoke which was concentrating on using an overpowered move and then it decided to end this battle.

It used 'Outrage'. It gave a huge roar, tightened its muscles, and then charged towards Slowpoke. It could see that Slowpoke was going to teleport. So, it used its new move, which restricted the space around Slowpoke. This was the new move it had learned in the past and this was the same move that it had used then Slowpoke was trying to teleport while both of the Gyarados were using 'Hyper beam'.

It had trained this move its entire life and it had learned it around 2 years ago. It again trained this move to perfect it. This was its trump card. This took a lot of stamina but it could literally block the space around its enemy and its enemy would be at its mercy. Due to this move, it was praised in its community and it was called one of the genius.

It used its huge mouth to bite Slowpoke as it came near and it it bit Slowpoke's neck. Due to the power of 'Outrage', its physical powers had been heightened and it was able to instantly injure Slowpoke. It raised Slowpoke while biting its neck and threw it in the air.

It again charged 'Outrage' and rushed towards Slowpoke. This time it tackled Slowpoke with full strength and Slowpoke crashed into the river. It then realized that it was not confused after using 'Outrage' 2 times. It thanked its luck. Today was its day. It was able to rank up and then it was not confused after using 'Outrage' 2 times. This must be the power of new rank-up.

Complimenting itself, it charged again towards the river when its world turned to hell.

Everything changed instantly. It was still charging towards the river but its head started to hurt like never before. It could not tell what was happening as its eyes could not see properly. It could see that Slowpoke was not inside the river and then it turned around and it was shocked.

Slowpoke was quite a distance away and it was not injured even one bit. Even the bite marks on its neck were not there. What the hell was happening? How could Slowpoke heal itself so fast?

It had many questions that it wanted to ask Slowpoke but it could not as it realized that the rain was pouring very heavily and that some of the raindrops were small pointy icicles while some of them had a purple glow.

It was that damn move again!!!

BANG BANG BANG BANG

'Hadauken' hit Gyarados again and this time the power of the move was higher than before. It might be cause Slowpoke had ranked up to tier 2 or it used the move when it was in full stamina. The move lasted for 10 seconds only but that was enough for Gyarados.

Axel could see that Slowpoke was very tired after using that move. The move was powerful but as per Axel, it should not be so tiring. It was a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon. It had massive stamina.

Then he looked at the move description of the new and realized why it was so tired.

Hadauken (Slowpoke): It is the combination of 3 moves, 'Rain dance', 'Chilling water', and 'Psychic rain'. Half of the rain droplets would turn into sharp tiny icicles and half of them would have the effect of 'Psychic rain'.

This move takes 5 seconds to activate and could be used for 10 seconds. It has an AOE effect.

Using this move would consume a huge amount of stamina of the user and the user cannot move for 10 seconds after using this move.

If Axel had known that it could consume such a huge stamina, he would not told Slowpoke to use this move so early in the battle. Gyarados was fully healed and had full stamina. So, this was like round 2 and the battle might take some time to finish again.

It was his mistake to not see the move description while using it. He realized that he still lacked a lot. If this was a Pokemon tide, then the situation would be much worse than this.

Fortunately, this was just a spar kind of a thing.

However, Axel realized that this battle might just be over. He waited for some time and then...

ROOOOARRR

This Gyarados surprised him again. It was severely injured but it had still not given up.

The fact of Gyarados using 'Outrage', biting Slowpoke, and throwing it in the air was done when it was inside the illusion. Slowpoke shifted its position in the illusion while trying to make everything similar to reality. Gyarados didn't know that it was inside the illusion, so it used 'Outrage' on Slowpoke when it was an illusion. It was just using the move on air.

The battle went on for 2 and a half minutes and surprisingly Slowpoke was losing the battle. The brave Gyarados used 'Hydro pump' which hit Slowpoke and 'Outrage' which also hit Slowpoke. It used its pre-domain move while it was using all these moves. It had finally activated its pre-domain move which was related to water.

Since Slowpoke was also using its 'Psychic domain', it was able to defend it a bit. Also, with its 'Calm mind', its special defense was high. However, it had also gathered injuries after taking those 2 moves.

The duration of 'Calm mind', 'Trick room', and 'Psychic domain' was also coming to an end. Axel knew that Gyarados would not be stupid enough to not tell the illusion from reality once again. So, he didn't tell it to use 'Confusion' as Slowpoke would have to use a good amount of its stamina while using it.

However, the battle was coming to an end. Slowpoke also used moves like 'Ice beam' and 'Water pulse' which did hit Gyarados as it was massive.

Then...

"Slowpoke cancel 'Calm mind', 'Trick room' and 'Psychic domain' and then use 'Slack off'", said Axel.

Slowpoke did as it was told. It gave a big yawn and it started to look extra lazy. Gyarados could see that its injuries were healing at a noticeable speed.

Gyarados was shocked!! Why was this Slowpoke so stupid? It immediately canceled all the stat moves and now it was yawning when Gyarados was going to use its most powerful move?

Gyarados felt anger rising from its heart. It felt humiliated. It felt that this Slowpoke was not giving it any respect. It was so angry that it even forgot that Slowpoke was one of the most intelligent Pokemon and it was far stupider than Slowpoke.

When it was going to use 'Outrage' with full power. It could feel a sudden gust of wind that was coming from its right side and then...

BOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

A huge explosion occurred where Gyarados was standing. The river started to instantly dry up and everyone could feel that a huge earthquake had occurred. The effect was so huge that other Pokemons that were fighting could not balance their movement and some of them even fell down which also included Cloyster. The explosion was huge and nobody knew if it was alive.

This was 'Future sight'. Axel had set up the timer when Slowpoke used 'Future sight'. He knew that it would take around 5 minutes to activate, so when the time came near to only a few seconds, he told Slowpoke to deactivate all these moves and even start to heal itself.

'Future sight' was an overpowered move. The move was very mysterious. It was so overpowered and mysterious that it became very difficult for Slowpoke to upgrade it.

Axel could still remember that Slowpoke would train 2 hours in this particular move every day but it could not level it up so fast. It was only able to level it up so fast due to the system and Axel's talent 'Overgrowth'.

Since it was so difficult to master and upgrade, 'Future sight' didn't disappoint one bit. 'Future sight' might be the most powerful move after Charizard's 'Transform'. It was even more powerful than Nidoking's 'Spinning poison'. However, it took 5 minutes to activate and Slowpoke had to time the move very accurately. Once the move was used, it would only hit on the place that was activated, and that could not be changed.

But the power of the move was very huge. Axel didn't even know if that Gyarados survived. He was really scared about it. That Gyarados was no doubt one of the supreme genius out here and if it was killed, he was confident that other powerful Gyarados would not let him go unharmed.

The so-called champion rank Gyarados was impatiently looking at the explosion. By seeing its expression, Axel was even more sure about his theory.

'Damn! How am I going to survive this now?'

He knew that Gyarados were prideful beings. If they see their group getting killed, then they won't be following these rules that the mysterious leader had set. He could see that the muscles of champion rank Gyarados were tensed up as if it was ready to pounce at Slowpoke.

Then its reaction immediately changed. It became relaxed. Axel was also confused by the change of its reaction but after a few seconds, he knew why it changed its reaction.

A huge water wave a created and Axel could see a Gyarados that was seriously injured. It was the same Gyarados that was hit by 'Hadauken' and 'Future sight' and yet it was still standing and roaring as if it was ready to fight.

'How could it still stand?', thought Axel.

It was just not possible to fight back as it was hit by such powerful moves. This might be the toughest Pokemon that he had ever fought till now. He could see that it might not be able to use any attack moves right now but it was still not letting it go. It was not giving up. It was standing up with its sheer will.

Then something amazing happened.

It started to shine in white light.

'Is it ranking up again?', thought Axel. That was simply not possible. How could it rank up to tier 3 in such a short time?

It glowed for around 5 seconds and then it stopped. It had not ranked up to tier 3 and Axel sighed in relief. If it had ranked up to tier 3, Axel was going to catch it. He didn't care that he had a Gyarados with him or it was a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon. He would have caught it.

But it had not ranked up and the world was still fair. Axel could see that it had somehow recovered some of its stamina and its wounds had also healed up a bit but that was hit.

As much as he knew, Gyarados didn't have a healing move that would require it to shine in white light. So, what was it? Was it a new move that it knew? He didn't know.

"Slowpoke, it is time to finish this battle. Release 'Stored power'"
