Axel took out his right-hand gloves to see the effect. He didn't stop the meditation while he was doing it.
Immediately he started to feel pain. A huge amount of pain from his right exposed hand.

He immediately put on the gloves again and finally, the notification stopped. He could feel that his hand was wounded. He could not see it cause he had to put on the gloves again but there was an unknown type of wound in his right hand.
The experiment had failed and he was feeling a lot of pain. He tried to control the pain and used an aura around the wounded hand to heal it. Axel had not learned 'Aura heal' but a man could only try.
The pain was so unbearable that he finally let out a painful scream. Others noticed it and came to him to see what had happened.
"You Idiot!! Didn't you know that you cannot take out your suit here? Harry said that repeatedly.", shouted Lance.
But the pain was not going anywhere. Axel finally called out Venusaur and told it to heal his hand. It first used 'Aromatherapy' and then used many healing moves.
The pain was finally going away, bit by bit and after 10 minutes, the pain was bearable.
It took an hour for the pain to heal completely.
"What should we do? Do we go to the central department to get him checked out?", asked Frank.
"No, I am fine and it doesn't hurt now. We should continue.", replied Axel.
"Axel, we don't even know the state of your hand unless we examine it. I don't think that we should risk it.", said Kate.
"Let me rest for some time and if nothing happens then we should continue. Don't worry I am fine. I can feel that with my aura.", said Axel.
It had been 2 days since they had started their journey in the west side and Axel didn't want to go back again. They only had 4 months on this island and they were in day 19.
As per their initial plan, they would complete:
- Eastside in 20 days
- Westside in 30 days
- Southside in 30 days
- Northside in 40 days
They had completed the east side in 17 days. So, they were in profit of 3 days. Axel wanted to keep the momentum.
They started their journey with a slow pace. The quantity of Pokemons here was far higher than on the east side. After walking for 3 more days, they started to feel that the temperature had started to get a bit hotter.
"Guys, let's make camp here for tonight. I feel that we will reach the end of the west side in 2 days.", said Axel looking at the map.
It had been 5 days since they started the journey of the west side. The fire-type well was at the near end of the west side. Axel was looking at the map to reconfirm it.
Even though they were traveling at high speed, Axel didn't forget to train his Pokemons, especially new Pokemons.
He called out all of his Pokemons yet again to fight. Charizard was happy to see the heated environment. It was feeling more comfortable.
"Guys, continue your training now!!", shouted Axel to all of them.
The king-rank Pokemons went a bit far to train. Axel told them to maintain a short distance. This was an unknown forest and he didn't want them to be injured.
The new Pokemons started to train and fight with themselves for training. Totodile was not having a good day as it was hot outside.
Axel also started to train his body. After seeing his Pokemons train with him, others also started to train. They were very competitive and they didn't want to be left behind.
The right hand of Axel was not paining anymore and it felt normal. However, he could not examine it in this environment.
After training for some time, a notification popped up,

Totodile was the first to get an evolution condition. After coming here, most of his Pokemons started to develop rapidly. They still took their time to develop their moves mastery but their body stats started to rise at a good pace.
It may be due to aeus energy or the harsh environment but Axel was happy about this development. Mankey was also very close to getting an evolution condition.
Bagon and Togepi were far behind it as it was proving very difficult to evolve them.
Acron was also close to getting an evolution condition. However, the growth rate of Acron was slower than Totodile and Mankey. This may be cause it would be a dragon-type Pokemon when it fully evolved. Rock-type Pokemons also take a bit more time than other types.
The problem Axel was facing was from Cloyster.
It was still not able to upgrade its move 'Toxic bite'. Axel could wait a bit long for both of them to combine but it must learn to upgrade its move as fast as it could.
Axel had started to think about how Slowpoke would benefit from Cloyster. After thinking about it for a long time, he noted down 3 points.
1. Help in moves mastery.
2. Additional help in ability and hidden ability
3. Help in stats.
As of right now, he wanted to upgrade the move mastery in such a way that Cloyster could help Slowpoke in moves. Axel knew that he could not be impatient.
So, he started to concentrate on Cloyster's training for the move 'Toxic bite'.

The next day,
They started to move at a constant pace and finally, they stopped.
"That is the one. I am going to catch that Pokemon.", said Ryker pointing out the group of Arcanines.
Ryker had Arcanine but it was a normal Arcanine. What they were seeing right now were Hisuian Arcanines. These Arcanines looked completely different from normal Arcanine. They were rock/fire type in nature and they had incredible defense.
"Ryker are you sure? You already have an Arcanine.", said Kate.
"Yes, I am sure. I am interested in this new type of Arcanine.", said Ryker with expectation.
"Ok, then why don't we go and talk with these Arcanines. I don't think that they would let you have one of their children for free.", said Axel.
He called out to Alakazam to translate. Axel could speak to Pokemon due to his psychic abilities but others could not. So, he wanted Alakazam to be the mediator.

"They are saying that Ryker has to prove himself, if he wants to get one of their children.", said Alakazam after talking to them. These Arcanines didn't have a king rank Pokemons so they could not talk.
"Tell them that I am ready.", said Ryker.
A pseudo-king rank Arcanine came out to battle Ryker. Ryker also called out his Charizard to fight.
"Let the battle begin!!!"
The battle was not so interesting. Ryker's Charizard did win at the end but the battle was very close. It took around 12 minutes for the battle to be finished. The Arcanine had good defense and even though it was as fast as a normal Arcanine, it would make it up with its high attack power.
Axel started to compare his Charizard with Ryker's Charizard. His Charizard was obviously stronger as it was a king-rank Pokemon but if he were to compare it on battle strategy, battle style, and move mastery, Charles was better than Ryker's Charizard.
This surprised him a bit as Ryker hailed from the Zard family. The family had 100s of years of experience in training Charizard and yet Ryker's Charizard was not as powerful as Axel's in any way.

After winning the battle, Ryker started to choose the Pokemon for him. Axel didn't help him cause Ryker would obviously not believe him. Ryker was also not his friend. They were just acquaintances.
Ryker chose a Growlithe which had purple potential. It was a good potential but there was also one who had brown potential.
"Shall we continue our journey now?", asked Frank. He wanted to complete this side as soon as possible as the place was getting hotter.
They walked for an entire day. It was getting hotter and hotter by the minute. The heat was so much that, they had actively started to sweat. They could not take those suits off, so it was extra hot and crispy.
"Is that a volcano?", shouted Lance.
"So, that was why it was getting so hot.", realized Kate.
Axel was also looking at the map and he came up with a horrible realization.
The fire-type resource well was inside the volcano.
"Ahhh guys, I think that the fire-type resource place is inside that volcano.", said Axel.
"What are you crazy?", asked Lance.
"Axel, we will die if we even go near to that place.", protested K.
"Hey, I don't want to go there either but as per my calculation, it is inside the volcano.", said Axel.
"Axel, we have not explored all of the west side. We are just traveling in one direction. Maybe you have missed someplace.", said Ryker.
"No, I am sure that it is inside the volcano.", said Axel.
"If it is inside the volcano, we cannot go there. Should we leave this place then?", asked Kate.
That was true. A human body would turn to dust if one were to jump inside the volcano. Axel could also see that it was an active volcano.
Axel started to think. The place should not be unreachable. There must be some way to go inside there. He first told his Charizard to roam around the volcanic mountain to see if there was another way to go inside.
It started to hover around but it could not find another place to enter. Its senses had heightened after being a king-rank Pokemon. So, Axel was confident that there was no other place than the mouth of the volcanic mountain to enter that place.
"Father, I could go inside that volcanic mountain.", said Charles.
"Are you sure? The heat might be even very high for you.", said Axel.
"I can do it. I will use 'Dragon scales' and other defensive moves. I believe that I could get inside and come out of it with no problem.", said Charles.
"Go, try to go inside. If the heat is very high, then come out as soon as possible. Don't risk your life.", said Axel.
Kate did have a king-rank Charizard but it was still weaker than Axel's Charizard. Others didn't have a flying-type fire Pokemon that was king rank and above. So, Axel's Charizard was the only one that could go inside.
Charizard first used 'Blaze' and then it used 'Dragon scales' and then 'Smoke manipulation'. It increased its defense even higher after using 'Dragon king domain'.
This had heightened its physical powers to a whole new level. It could not use 'Transform' as the 1 month cooldown was not over. It gave a huge roar and directly went inside the volcanic mountain.
