Chapter 391: Axel's Anger

"Watch your step, don't make any sound."

"You are an idiot. Who would go to fight with the wild Pokemon with his bare hands."

Axel was shouting and berating Frank. It had been 4 days since they started to return to the city. Due to Frank's carelessness, they had to fight multiple groups of Pokemons.

Frank was mentally and psychically tired right now and so were his Pokemons. Frank had 8 elemental-rank Pokemons. For a normal trainer that was a huge achievement but such could not be said for a trainer whose father was a gym leader.

Axel realized that Frank was very lazy. He was extremely talented but he was lazy. Frank also had never been to a forest where he had to fight alone cause Axel was just watching the show.

He didn't know how to carry himself in the forest, how to battle in the forest, or how to handle a group battle.

Axel was drilling Frank on all those lessons. He didn't care of Frank but he did owe Morgan a favor. So, he was very harsh with his words. Frank was born with a golden spoon and he had never faced any problems like this before.

So, naturally, Frank was hating Axel to his bones. He could not say anything cause he could feel that if he did, Axel would just leave him there. Frank was older than Axel but he was way weaker than Axel. This also fueled Frank's rage.

However, he didn't shout back at Axel cause he knew that Axel was teaching him. They could have reached the city on the same day but since Axel was training Frank, it had taken 4 days and finally they were now near the city.

After walking for 1 hour, they finally reached the city gate.

Frank collapsed on the ground after reaching the city gate. He had multiple scratches and wounds on his body, his hair was disheveled, and his clothes were filled with mud and dirt. He looked like a beggar who was waiting for his death.

The guards at the gate knew who he was, so they started to run towards him fearing that something may have happened to him.

"Sir Frank, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?", the guard asked.

"He is okay. These are only normal scratches. I would take him to Morgan. Don't worry?"

'How could these be normal scratches?' This was what the guard wanted to ask but he kept quiet when he heard Axel call out Morgan by his name.

Frank was weeping softly when he reached the city. He had never been so happy before to reach his own city. Normally he would go out of the city to another city with his friends to party. At that time, he didn't want to come to his city but his dad would always call me.

But now, he was so happy that he was inside his city. He was saved. He would not die in the forest.

"Get up. You are the son of a gym leader. Why are you sleeping on the road?", shouted Axel harshly.

Frank slowly started to stand up. All of his body was screaming in pain but he withstood it.

"What the hell happened to you, my child? Who did this to you?", shouted a woman who had looking at all the injuries of Frank. This was Frank's mother.

Frank wanted to blame Axel cause he was the one responsible but in these 4 days, he had seen and observed Axel. He knew that Axel was a dangerous man and he didn't want to anger Axel anymore.

So, he just kept quiet.

"Marry, take Frank to the hospital and take care of him. Can't you see that I have a guest?", said Morgan being disappointed with his son. He could guess what had happened.

He had told Axel to let Frank experience the wild. However, he also knew his son. His son must have pissed off Axel and then Axel took his job extra seriously. He could not blame Axel. Axel had reached such a position where he should be respected and his son must have clearly forgotten that.

After Frank was taken to the hospital, Morgan and Axel sat on the chairs to talk.

"So, how was my son?"

"I really could not believe that he is your son.", replied Axel with a sharp tone.

"Sigh, I know what you mean. I want him to work hard and be a good trainer but his mother is very soft on him. She would not let me train him properly. I think I have really spoiled my son. But can you tell me what mistakes he made? I want to know."

He knew his son was extremely spoiled. That was why he told his son to go with Axel. He wanted his son to have a reality check.

"What can I say? He doesn't even have an ounce of experience. He never followed instructions and always did what he liked. I mean how could he not follow my commands in such a life and death situations? He is ignorant and arrogant.

Axel took a deep breath. He was angry but he didn't want to shout at a gym leader. He calmed himself down.

"I believe that he should not be a trainer cause he doesn't have what it takes to be one.", said Axel with a deep voice.

Axel was harsh to Frank cause he was angry. Frank was very friendly but he acted like a young master in Chinese novels.

When he heard that Frank had elemental rank Pokemons, he thought that maybe Morgan had trained him and he just didn't have experience in the wild.

How very wrong he was.

Even though he had big muscles, he was not strong. Axel could kill him with a single punch. He was not agile and he was very slow. His Pokemon must be raised with numerous resources cause they were extremely weak for an elemental rank Pokemon.

Even though Axel was training him, Frank didn't listen and made stupid decisions. Axel had to interfere countless times to save his ass.

He didn't know Frank before. He had taken Frank as a favor to Morgan but that didn't mean that he would have to babysit him. He especially hated people like Frank.

He came from a middle-class family and had to work hard and earn everything for himself. And there was Frank. Everything was given to him but he had not done anything to earn that. That was what made him very angry.

"I understand why you said that but I cannot let my son become like this. I know he is talented but I also know that he is not hard-working. So, I want to make a proposal.

You have some time till the league battle starts. Why don't train Frank during that time? I am not telling you to do it for free. I would pay you in any way you like. You can ask anything for me.", said Morgan.

He knew that he could not train Frank cause his wife would not let him be harsh with Frank and Frank would not listen to him. So, he wanted Axel to train Frank.

"I am sorry Mr. Morgan. Even if I wanted to train him, I could not until he wanted to improve himself. I can tell that he didn't want to train and improve. So, I have a counter-proposal.

I have to now go to the league headquarters to sign up for the league battle and also get the master trainer certificate. Then I would have to go on a mission with the leader of the Venu family. It would take 1-2 weeks.

If you could convince Frank and make him realize that he should work hard, I am happy to train him till the start of the league battle. But if you cannot, then I also cannot help you in this regard."
