Chapter 318: Charizard Vs Charizard
Chapter 318: Charizard Vs Charizard
"KILL THEM ALL!!!" shouted Alakazam, signaling the start of the battle.
Nidorino stepped forward and unleashed a 'Sludge Wave' to infect as many Pokémon as possible. The opposing team consisted of seven pseudo-king rank Pokémon, while Axel's team had six. However, the opposing team also had Scizor, a king rank Pokémon.
The duo of Nidorino and Shedinja launched their attacks just as they had before. Meanwhile, Tyranitar engaged in a fight against Alakazam. Axel could already tell that Alakazam was stronger than Tyranitar. Despite recently ranking up, Tyranitar was only a pseudo-champion rank and lacked considerable power, which is why Magmar was assisting it.
Electabuzz, on the other hand, focused on battling the elemental rank Pokémon, of which there were around 20.
Charizard was prepared for battle and immediately noticed another Charizard, an elemental rank Pokémon. Its sense of superiority kicked in, and...
ROARRRRRR...
Charizard vs. Charizard (In this battle, the enemy Charizard will be referred to as Charizard1.)
Charizard let out a mighty roar and unleashed a 'Flamethrower' towards Charizard1, who retaliated with its own 'Flamethrower'. The fire from Charizard1 had a deep red hue with a hint of purple in the center.
Charizard1's flames appeared mutated and significantly stronger than Charizard's. Charizard lost the exchange and took to the air to avoid the flames. While Charizard had previously defeated many elemental rank Pokémon, none had been as formidable as Charizard1. Furthermore, Charizard had sustained injuries, making it easier for Charizard1 to overpower it.
Charizard responded by using 'Dragon Dance' and 'Sunny Day' to further enhance its power. Despite 'Sunny Day' also amplifying the power of Charizard1's mutated flames, Charizard was undeterred. It sought to assert its dominance over Charizard1 and show who was in charge.
Charizard1 also employed 'Sunny Day' to bolster its fire powers.
"What the hell are you doing? Why are you using Sunny Day?" Axel asked, perplexed. Charizard1's fire attacks were mutated and clearly stronger than his Charizard's. Axel couldn't comprehend his Charizard's reasoning.
Although Charizard wasn't a Dragon-type Pokémon, it possessed a sense of dragon pride. Axel may not have understood it, but a dragon never succumbs to fear.
Charizard1 opened its mouth and let out a resounding roar. ROARRRRR The surrounding temperature skyrocketed. Axel could see thin waves of fire emanating from Charizard, reminiscent of 'Heat Wave', but with a distinct difference. It then unleashed another 'Flamethrower'.
Upon witnessing the power of the attack, Axel began to pray for Charizard. It was the most formidable 'Flamethrower' he had ever witnessed.
Axel stood 15 meters away from the battle, and his body started to burn. His skin emitted crackling sounds. This power surpassed what an elemental rank Pokémon could comprehend.
"CHARIZARD!!! DODGE IT RIGHT NOW."
But would Charizard dodge such a paltry attack? Of course not. It embodied fire itself; how could it fear fire?
It utilized 'Flame Armor' and enveloped its entire body in flames. Axel noticed that these flames appeared solid. What was happening?
---
Ding!
Charizard's Flame Armor has reached level 40. Its defense has increased.
---
It was growing stronger during the battle?
Charizard countered with its own 'Flamethrower', but its flames were devoured by Charizard1's flames, which now sported a beautiful blend of half purple and half red.
BOOMMMM!!!! Axel had never imagined that a 'Flamethrower' could cause an explosion.
"VENUSAUR! Use 'Leech Whip' on Charizard!"
As the debris and dust from the explosion settled, Axel could finally see Charizard. Venusaur's vines coiled around it, causing severe injuries. Though the wounds were numerous, none were critical.
Charizard took deep breaths. Its 'Flame Armor' had been obliterated, and it was only the armor that had kept it alive.
Meanwhile, Charizard1 appeared exhausted. The attack's power surpassed that of an elemental rank Pokémon, resulting in significant stamina depletion.
After catching its breath, Charizard opened its eyes. Flames began to engulf it, indicating...
ROARRRRRR... It had activated 'Blaze'.
---
Ding!
Charizard's Blaze has reached 80% mastery. It can now enter the blaze state for 5 minutes. Ding! Charizard's Solar Power has reached 65% mastery.
---
"Damn! If this continues, Charizard will reach elemental rank in no time," Axel remarked.
Despite its injuries, Charizard disregarded the minor wounds. Its eyes had turned completely red, indicating heightened mastery of fire. The flames around it danced as Charizard commanded.
It then employed 'Flame Wings' and took to the air. Having already activated 'Solar Power' before the fight, its special attack had increased.
A dark purple glow emanated from its left claw as it struck Charizard1 with full force—an attack known as 'Dragon Claw'. Charizard1 countered with 'Dragon Tail'.
CLASHHHH... Both Pokémon stared into each other's eyes, neither blinking. Charizard clenched its right fist and delivered a powerful 'Thunder Punch' to Charizard1.
ROArrr... Charizard1 was forced to retreat, as 'Thunder Punch' was super effective against it.
The battle continued for another 5 minutes. It was a contest of brute force, with neither side concerned about evading or defending against attacks. Their sole objective was to land their strongest blows on the opponent.
Charizard was clearly losing the battle. Charizard1 had effectively employed its fire powers to control the fight. Even with "Blaze," Charizard's fire power fell short of Charizard1's.
---
Ding!
Blaze has been deactivated.
---
BAMMM Charizard crashed to the ground after being struck by another powerful 'Flamethrower'.
Charizard1 stood over Charizard, placing one leg on its neck. It opened its mouth, and fire began to form.
Would Charizard survive this ordeal?
