Chapter 248: Vileplume

Vileplume was weak to ice-type attacks so Piloswine was a good addition to the team. Nidorino was the leader of the group as it was the only elemental-ranked Pokemon on the team. He didn't know about the stats of Gogoat as he was still unable to see its stats.

When Piloswine entered the field, it immediately used 'Hail' and 'Rain dance'. It then started to use moves like 'Icicle spear' and 'Ice shard'. It didn't use 'Blizzard' as per Axel's instruction as it was a stamina-consuming move.

All of them were using special type moves due to Vileplume's annoying hidden ability. Gogoat, Gyarados and Ivysaur were dealing with other Pokemons in the herd while Piloswine and Nidorino were fighting the elemental-ranked Vileplume. Ivysaur would support Nidorino and Gyarados with its 'Leech Whip' as they were tanking most of the hits.

The land battle was going smoothly. After fighting for almost 2 hours, all of them were tired. So, Axel said, "Nidorino, use 'spinning poison'"

All of a sudden the fighting formation changed. At first, it was Nidorino on the front line where Piloswine was attacking from the back. Now, Piloswine came forward to battle Vileplume. It was to give Nidorino time to prepare for the move.

The move was extremely stamina-consuming and would take a lot of time to prepare. It took 30 seconds for the move to be ready to use. 30 seconds in the war was a huge amount of time.

Then...

BOOOMMMM.....

Piloswine used 'Dig' and went underground while the move connected to Vileplume. It move had a huge impact. It covered 30 meter area around it. Axel had already instructed his team and his Pokemon to back out. Trees were uprooted and the ground had a big hole in it.

"I don't know. It was one of the commander's Pokemon. I don't believe I have seen an elemental rank Pokemon capable of such destruction."

"Is that a pseudo-king rank Pokemon?"

"No, I don't believe it is."

After the dust was settled, everyone could see a dead Vileplume. Its body was badly damaged with the move. Axel instructed the soldiers to take the body and store it for future sale.

Nidorino was so tired from the fight and the move that it could not even move. Axel immediately called it and told it to use the move 'Rest'.

Meanwhile, other Pokemons of Axel were also getting tired. They had fought for 2 hours. After fighting in the tide, they knew how to conserve their stamina and fight a long battle. Axel thought to call them back after they had fought for another 2 hours.

Aerial battle was still at standstill. Five elemental-ranked Pokemons were fighting 3 elemental ranked Pokemons. As they were elemental ranked Pokemons they had a huge stamina but they had been fighting for 2 hours and there were no results. Axel was not worried about it. He had told them to prolong the battle and they were doing a very good job.

The 3 enemy Pokemons had lots of cuts on their bodies. Axel's Pokemon were tired but they were not injured. Same could be said to Aerodactyl and Pidgeot of the captain. Suddenly, Beedrill increased its speed and went to Fearow and used 'Poison jab'. The battle was going slowly. So, since the move was so sudden with Beedrill's speed, it could not dodge it. The move squarely hit it and it was poisoned.

Being poisoned during the war was a huge disadvantage. Beedrill was looking for this opportunity for a long time when the opportunity came, it took it.

Shedinja then fired up a 'Night slash' but Fearow dodged it narrowly. Beedrill then moved to Pidgeot and then used its signature move 'Drill run'. The drill went inside Pidgeot's chest. It was a critical hit and the move was very powerful. Pidgeot was dead.

The dead Pidgeot fell from the ground and crashed with a huge boom. Now the pressure on the team had decreased significantly. Pidgeot was dead, Fearow was poisoned and the enemy Beedrill was on its last legs as it was fighting with Alakazam.

As Axel and his team were celebrating their short victory there was another BOOM on the other side.

Axel could see an enclosed space with hail and rain. It was not visible what was inside but he immediately knew what it was.

"Yes.", he said. Piloswine had finally learned its new move and now it only needed to master its ability and hidden ability to 70% to rank up.

Meanwhile, Charizard was fighting with its new team of flying-type Pokemons. It was just an uncommon rank Pokemon and had low stamina. It knew that it could not last very long so it decided to go with a bang.

Suddenly fire started to emerge below its wings and then it flew high in the air. Its speed had doubled from the fire on its wings. This was its new move which was called 'Flame Wings'. Axel wanted Charizard to manipulate fire more naturally. So, after training for a long time it had come with 'Flame wings' which increased its speed to a large degree. As of right now, it could fly at twice its regular speed.

It flew towards 4 Beedrill. 3 of them were in uncommon rank and 1 one of them was in rare rank. Suddenly, its wings started to glow in white light. The wings showed beautiful color with a mixture of white light and red fire. That was 'Wing attack'. With its huge boost in speed, it was able to attack 3 uncommon-rank Pokemons and they were sliced off from between. The rare rank was also hit but it was only lightly injured.

Charizard planned to finish off the rare rank Beedrill and return to rest.
